The inside of the hem and the lining are edged in velvet. The bodice is boned and the closure is hook-and-eye. The pleated neck is trimmed with a self-ruffle and bow. The waist is also accented with a band of the same fabric and a bow in the back. Note the pleating details in the center back of the bodice and more in the skirt(to accommodate a bustle) The dress is a museum de-acquisition and proceeds will go to support that institution. Size: The waist of the bodice is 26" Across the back underarms measures 14" Doubled that would make the bust 28" but the style of this bodice allows for a few more inches in bust size. The length of the center back of the bodice is 16 1/2" The skirt waist measures 20" but as you can see in the photos. Someone had added a somewhat makeshift extension to that. The center front of the skirt is 40" long from the waist. Age: Period Original. Late 1800s. Condition Report: Very good but the dress does have a few issues. There is some torn lace(mostly at the edge of one sleeve) There are also some rust/age spots and a few tiny pinholes in the twill fabric. There is some tearing along the hem of the lining and the velvet bands along the interior hems is stained and has a few holes that are visible only on the inside of the dress. This beautiful Victorian vanity was designed with many details that capture your eyes. The overall condition is great considering its age- most probably Victorian 1800s(the piece's age is our opinion based on comparisons we've done on the internet) The pictures show the minor chip and the place where a missing dowel bar might have been(it can easily be replaced) The wood is beautiful and the piece's craftsmanship is excellent. It was well taken care of. The piece has three original mirrors- the dominant large center mirror that tilts. And the smaller mirrors on each side which are underneath the small upper drawers. This bureau belonged to my grandmother. Unfortunately. I do not have space for it any longer. I believe this is"Victorian Eastlake" It is in very good original condition with original hardware. Sold as is. No one has painted, refinished or otherwise tampered with it. There was never a mirror from the time my grandmother acquired it. Local pick-up only! Dimensions are: 51 inches wide. 19 inches front to back and 33 inches at the tallest point. It is a large piece and heavy but the side sections with small drawers and the marble pieces come off for moving. Probably best to have a van or large-ish SUV to move it.

This is a rather uncommon piece of late Victorian furniture. A carved Walnut lock side lingerie chest. Locksides(sometimes called Sidelocks) were. Although uncommon by themselves, were generally executed as larger chests of drawers, more typically a dresser or chest. This piece is a lingerie chest with a beveled mirror(excellent condition) top with heavily carved crest and framework with pierced carved supports. Rather an overall organic motif with an Eastlake influence. Base has 4 deep drawers with a hinged locking panel(no key) along the right side. Antique Victorian Era Dresser With Triple Mirrors
This dresser has two top drawers and two lower drawers in the base. Plus two small drawers atop the base. It has a center mirror and two side, arched mirrors making it quite distinctive. The mirrors are beveled and show signs of aging. The veneer has wear, which is age appropriate. The hardware all appears to be original. The four legs have castors, which also appear to be original. The intricate carving detail across the top makes this dresser truly unique and charming. For bid is an old. Victorian era wood doll house or TOY or DOLL DRESSER with three drawers with brass pulls! This wonderful piece of miniature furniture features wonderful details and very old-looking wood with some signs of age and wear. The entire item is made with very nice detail, very similar to a full sized piece of furniture. This chest of drawers stands just over 9 1/2 inches tall by about 6 1/2 inches deep. The widest measurement is over 12 1/2 inches. I’m guessing this item dates from about the 1880’s. It may have been made in the United States or somewhere else. I’m really not sure! Rare Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Cottage vanity dresser
Up for auction is a beautiful Victorian Renaissance Revival Cottage dresser. Very old and cool. Pictures don't do it justice. Its 81 inches tall, 38 and 1/2 across and 17 and 1/4 out from the wall. Has four big drawers and two glove boxes on top, along with two candle shelves that are on either side of the mirror. The mirror glass was replaced in the 1970s but it tilts and is adjustable. Has worn spots but thats to be expected after over a hundred years. Victorian/Eastlake Tall Etagere
I fell in love with this etagere immediately. I still can't tell what the wood is. But I think it's a light colored mahogany. It is missing one finial on the bottom left, and there is a chip on the bottom decorative piece that runs across horizontally. Very strong and sturdy though definitely not intended for use as a bookshelf. 58" high x 27" wide. Top shelf is 6 1/2" deep and bottom shelf is 10" deep.bThe shelves get gradually wider. Antique Maine Victorian pine dresser vanity 1800s
Can be delivered within 50 miles of 94525 for additional $50. Antique Victorian pine dresser from Maine. I was told its from the 1800s. Bought at auction in the early 90s. In great shape. There is a little bit of water marking on the bottom of one of the sides but barely noticeable and easily fixed. Mirror is newer and in good shape but could be secure in place more as it rattles in place a bit with strong movement. I put a small piece of cardboard behind original wood strap and thats easily stopped it. I think it was refinished long ago and is a nice looking piece. This is a Fantastic Period Victorian Salesman Sample/ Child's Chest of drawers. It is a beauty! It is in solid walnut wood. It was a wonderful patina. Great carvings on all drawers. It is a great storage for any treasures. It is in excellent condition. One side of two drawers have been professionally restored to provide a smooth back and forth motion. It is one of the nicest. This is a really nice old Eastlake Victorian dresser. It is in remarkably good condition. The drawers have the pegged scolloped rabbet joint very typical of the 1870's. The drawer bottoms are all original and in good condition. The top drawer which got a lot more use than the other drawers was worn on the bottom so its sides have been added onto to make them the proper size. The knobs have been replaced. But there is just one hole in the drawer indicating that the original pulls were single knobs. More pictures can be made available upon request for such things as I just described. This dresser is 98 inches tall to the top of the mirror. The dresser base is 26 inches tall to the top of the marble and it is 46 inches wide. The depth from front to back is 20-1/2 inches. Small Chest or Child's Dresser W/ AMAZING Victorian Decoupage Folk Art Die Cut
Offered here is an amazing. One-of-a-kind small chest of drawers or child's dresser that has been covered with Victorian decoupage of various die cut printed pieces of advertising, greeting cards, etc. I have seen a lot of antiques, and looked on the internet for similar pieces, but I can't find anything comparable to this. This is a great handmade folk art piece that would be the highlight of any room. Despite it's petite size. A great decorator piece to put on top of another chest or table, use as a side table or night stand, put at the end of a hall, etc. Yes. This is covered with hundreds, if not thousands, of small colorful pieces of paper. I've tried to show this in the photos, particularly in the one of the top with the glancing light, and on another the edges of the drawer. Chest measures 22 1/2" wide. 21 3/4" ... moretall, and 12 1/2" deep overall. The basic case is about 21" x 21" x 12" with the top extending on the sides and front, and the small scalloped backsplash adding a bit to the depth. The chest is constructed out of pine. Including the drawer bottoms, and has nicely paneled sides. There is lovely, period paper lining the drawers. The back of the dresser was covered by some previous owner with a piece of masonite and is a newer addition. Please see all the photos. The entire piece has been stripped. Sanded, stained, re-stained, multiple coats of sanding sealer hand rubber in between with multiple coats of lacquer. It is all set to go in the boudoir. It is a gorgeous vanity with a 1 inch beveled glass original shapely mirror that is held in place with the brass threaded rods and in between two carved support yolks. The base itself has an ogee bevel edge shapely top, three dove tail drawers with a beautiful graining on the front, shapely shirt and cabriole legs. The overall size is 36 inches wide, 19 inches deep on the base, 32 inches to the top of the base cabinet and 64 inches high to the top of the bevel glass mirror. The bevel glass mirror does adjust back and forth on a swivel. The only thing I can see wrong with it is that there are some old stains on the inside of the drawers that were left on purpose, which give it charm and character. Late 1800's Curly Maple Woman's Victorian Dresser Oval Beveled Mirrors Oregon
This beautiful dresser has the original beveled mirrors intact. No cracks. Center mirror swivels vertically. It is believed that the drawer hardware is original. It does not appear that it was ever refinished and therefore has a lovely patina. There are some scratches, slight warpage and imperfections on the top surface consistent with the age of the item. Sometimes the drawers can be a little balky sliding them in and out. I bought this 36 years ago and at the time the maker's name and'1896' was faintly handwritten on the back. But the lettering has disappeared over time. Please ignore the look of the mirrors as an attempt was made to blur out the reflections. The mirrors provide a clear image. Due to size and delicacy. Antique collector Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest. This is an impressive mid 1800 Victorian Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest of Drawers with a large flared cornice top with convex molded contour front. One rare and unique characteristic of this superb Victorian Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers is the hidden alcove. The cornice top folds over to reveal a deep and large unique secret compartment for storage. There are five long graduating drawers with original turned mahogany knob handles with Mother of Pearl insets in the center. The chest features incredible precise hand cut dovetail joints on all four corners of each drawer. The drawers also feature hand shaved(chamfered) drawer bottoms. Beneath the bottom drawer is a sturdy base with large elegant turned legs. This auction is for a antique marble top wishbone dresser. I believe that the wood is walnut. The dresser is in good condition for it's age. On the right hand side of the marble top there is a groove like marking on the marble that is approx. 6" long. The right glove box is not attached to the dresser. I put victorian? Because I dont know. Could be older? This is very old handmade furniture. You may be better at dating it. You may even know who made it. If you have any questions just ask. Wish I could add more pictures. Anyone know how I can put more or where? Two doors and Three drawers on top. 1 drawer on base. Base is 15 inches high 27 inches wide 18 and three quarter inches deep The top is 37 three quarters inches tall 26 and a half inches wide 19 to 20 inches deep cabinet space is 25 inches wide by 10 inches tall by 17 inches deep. Top veneer peeled and missing also cracked where board connected under to make one big board front of doors veneer is cracked where boards were used to make the doors. Some of the drawers not in perfect condition. Just loose and couple chips off inside back. They all open and close. I do not have a key for ... morelocks. Bottom drawer lock is there but somebody put wood putty in front. Right drawer pull of base handle part is not original not same as the rest. Front carvings on doors not a mirror image hand-made. Writing on inside of board looks like old style handwriting. Cannot make out. Will try to see what it says. There is about a 1" × 1" hole in back of cabinet. One of the bun feet on base is missing. Someone sanded and srained right side of top part. Slats of back are loose. Will slide if you lift straight up. Very cool old piece. Oldest anything ive ever owned. Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest. This is an impressive 1840's Victorian Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest of Drawers with a large flared cornice top with convex molded contour front. One rare and unique characteristic of this superb Victorian Mahogany Scotch Chest of Drawers is the hidden alcove. The cornice top folds over to reveal a deep and large unique secret compartment for storage. There are five long graduating drawers with original turned mahogany knob handles with Mother of Pearl insets in the center. The chest features incredible precise hand cut dovetail joints on all four corners of each drawer. The drawers also feature hand shaved(chamfered) drawer bottoms. Beneath the bottom drawer is a sturdy base with large elegant turned legs. This is an Antique Late 1800's Victorian Natural Tone Oak Dresser with Original Brass Drawer Pulls and Key Locks/ Hardware. 44.5 inches wide x 33 inches tall x 19.5 inches deep. Has 4 dovetail drawers and metal caster wheels. Key to the locks is unavailable. The lower drawer bottom has been replaced. All drawers are opening and closing properly. Item is structurally sound for it's age. Caster wheels are all rolling. Top back right corner has a slight warp on the tabletop with separation and a small crack. Shouldn't be a problem for most. It's not noticeable when standing against a wall. Item was lightly sanded and clear varnished in the mid 1970's. Small top drawers are 18 inches wide x 5.5" tall.
