In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this material is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. The attention to detail given to the design of this Chest is splendid! The fancy and very ornate removable top gallery is graced with scalloped moulding. Large globe finials, carved rosette roundels and additional incised carvings. The corners of the gallery are adorned with turned finials. This is a gorgeous solid black walnut with burl walnut applied trim Victorian age drop center dresser with a white and gray grain marble ... moretop that dates from the 1880s. It came in on a recent load. And was very clean. Someone probably refinished it a long time ago, and all we did was tighten it up, scuff it down and re-spray it to remove all the nicks and dings. It has a great look, a dark walnut stain finish, white and gray grain marble tops in really nice condition with minor stains and no cracks. It also has hand-cut dovetail drawers, big burl walnut panels on the front, and carved medallions in the center. It also has the old teardrop dresser knobs of ebony. The top of the dresser has what looks like the original mirror, along with the original candle shelves that was used to hold the oil lamps while gazing at your reflection. It also has all original carving and decoration on the back, and the top of the carved crest, the applied cutout carved trim, button medallions, applied burl panels and clamshell carved crest on top, all intact. It’s all ready to go in your home. It measures 44 inches wide, 17 inches deep, cabinet base is 32 inches up to the marble, 79 inches to the top of the mirror crest. for sale a wonderful pierced carved victorian rococo walnut dresser vanity or possibly a shaving stand. depends on what you want as to what you call it. it is a great piece presented in original finish with wonderful patina. it is in near mint condition with the exception of a small repair. Looks as if screws have been replaced on one of the back swivel mount pieces. there are no weakness or problem and the function is perfect, but it has been tweaked a bit. it is 30 inches wide and sits on great carved rococo feet. the base has three hinged caskets for whatever you want to put in them. it is 12 inches deep, extending one inch behind the mirror base. the mirror base and harp are of wonderful form and design. the base and harp are pierced carved in the finest fashion. it is 33 inches in overall height. the harp houses an oval frame which contains ... morethe original mirror that is nearly perfect. there is the minutest amount of sliver loss. these are hard to find especially in the shape this one is in. the three caskets are a 9.5 inch oval in the center and two 6.5 inch round ones on either side of the central oval one. someone will be proud to own this great piece. it may be picked up at my home and shipped at buyer's expense. i have owned about 4 of these in 40 years, none any nicer than this one, but all sold for a lot more than i am starting this one at. i had one that i had a little dresser base for it to sit on. it sold for about 3000 a few years back. anyway, if you are on your toes you can get a bargain here. a rare and fair find and wonderful in every way.

Antique Big Victorian Bedroom Decor Furniture Dresser 1850 Mirror Brush Set
Hello- This is a very special True Victorian Hairbrush Mirror from at the LATEST 1850! The Amber-Yellow glass indicates this. And is never reproduced. When looking into the Etched Amber Glass, Your face is surrounded by the flowers just like my camera is if you can imagine, and your face has an amber glow. I placed it on the 50's mirror so that you can see the difference in the glass's. The big round mirror is part of the set. The Victorian Curling is genuine, I'm not positive of it's age, But these were used even into the 1920's. The brush measures approx. 10" long x 3 1/3" at the widest. And has a wooden brush area to hold the bristles. The metal is a bit tarnished from age, a magnet does not stick to it and I don't know what kind of metal it is. There is some loss to the etching of the flowers, but not ... moretoo much and is still in wonderful condition. The curling iron is approx. 10" long. With a thin crimping rod for"pin curl" size curls. The round mirror has some tarnishing from age. A magnet does not stick to it. The mirror measures approx. 12" long x 9" at the widest. Description Large Victorian Heavily Carved Gothic Revival Dresser. One of the most fantastic dressers it's ever been my pleasure to own. C arving to most surfaces including the edge of th e plank oak lower se ction top. The oak has aged wonderfully with wear through in many places to the natural wood colour. The patination is great and tells the tale of it's hi story beautifully. The dresser itself is constructed in a quality rustic method. The upper section planks are pushed thro ugh and pegged. The lower section is made of oak throughout and is a str uggle for 2 people to carry. It's THAT heavy! The whole lower unit is peg construction. That's the highest quality cabinet construction method. Even now. The handles are G eorgian style batwing one s. They could well be G eorgian ones from an early cabinet. The centre section ... morehas four drawer fronts on it. The upper two are a drop down drinks cabinet/bureau, the lower two are a pull out nine bottle wine cell ar. Wonderful wood salesman sample washstand from an estate in Iowa. The wash stand measures 12 1/2" tall. 7 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" deep. The washstand has a drawer and double doors on the bottom. They all work well. The top has a little spindle holder for a towel. This piece is in very good condition without damage. It is in excellent condition with all original hardware and rollers at bottom legs. Easy to move around. It was also refinished about 8 years ago, so overall it is a real stunning piece of furniture. The detailing on this dresser is just beautifully filled with very intricate Victorian designs. There are two small drawers on the top portion of the dresser right below the mirror. Available for your consideration is a gorgeous and rare child sized Victorian dresser. I personally have never seen anything like it before on Ebay. My guess it is from the late 1800s to early 1900s. The drawers are all in good condition and have early hand cut dovetails. The drawer fronts are decorated with two raised burled walnut panels each and all six original drawer locks are still present. The original brass and wood drawer pulls are a rare smaller version of the victorian tear drop pulls. Flanking the drawers are beautiful vertical burled columns. 15 Brass Victorian Lion Head Drawer Pulls Dresser Hardware Ornate Gargoyle I.U.C
Found these in a box with a bunch of other brass and porcelain knobs. Not sure where they came from or what they were suppose to be used for but the box has been sitting here for years so out they go. There are 13 handles with the lions head up-right and 2 where he is upside down when the handle is in the correct position. Don't ask me what's up with that. There are a few spots where some green has attached itself but they are in good condition overall. The back of the lions head is embossed with I.U.C. DC-80947K and the back of the handle is embossed with I.U.C. DC-40322. Not sure how old these are but they look old. I don't have any screws for them. The holes are 2 3/4" on center. Excellent(restored) condition, This gorgeous yew chest of drawers was English-made by hand in Victorian England around 1890. Having undergone a recent restoration that includes new hardware. New yew veneers and a new base, the chest now looks remarkably stunning. The yew displays a deep, lustrous complexion and a striking grain, which are complemented by the lovely ... morestring ebony inlay. Each drawer of course features hand-cut dovetailed joints and still operates smoothly, while the shaped bracket feet are as sturdy as they are elegant. Because the veneers are new, there is really no wear to speak of, although the yew has been hand-distressed to look like an antique. The locks also no longer function, but otherwise this chest remains in excellent condition. As you can see. This chest contains plenty of storage space. Even the sides look great. During a recent restoration. This chest was fitted with new yew veneers over the original carcass. String ebony inlay contrasts beautifully with the yew. These solid brass pulls were newly added during the restoration. This bowl star inlay. Which is composed of alternating bands of ebony and satinwood, was also added during the restoration. This endearing vintage furniture is great for a Victorian or Edwardian style bedroom or office. Not too many of these elegantly hand painted period furniture pieces come to market these days. And this one is fetching indeed. It appears to have originally had a mirror mounted in the center back where a small hole remains with a wooden peg recessed into the top. please see accompanying digital photos) This dandy dresser measures approximately 39.5 inches wide. 17.5 inches deep and 40.5 inches high to tops of the two upper set-in drawers, 34.5 inches to surface of main top level. I don't dare touch this gem and shall let the buyer decide whether they may want to replace the missing mirror or simply have the hole covered over.
