I bought this along with other pieces, including the Adrian Pearsall signed ottoman with back I have listed, and the two pink Kagan(style? chairs listed. The two Laurel lamps pictured are not for sale in this listing but were in the same estate. The couch is in great condition. There are no stains or rips or tears. No smoke smell. Just like the pink chairs and blue ottoman I have listed, everything was well taken care of and had no issues, except for a foam problem with the blue Pearsall ottoman that I had replaced. The foam on this couch cushion is fine. Both sides of this cushion are pictured, I flipped it during photographing to show both sides are in great shape. The flowered back cushions make me really believe this is Pearsall. The couch does not detach from its base- it is all one piece, except the back frame, which is screwed into place and also, in great shape. The couch and tables measure 111.5" long x 32" deep x 31" tall from the floor to the top of the back cushion. The walnut tables, that have very minor surface scratches hardly noticeable, measure 18.5" x 30.5" Shipping will be done via freight. The four chairs are very sturdy and the upholstery has lots of life left in it. The lemony green vinyl has some slight coloring issues from wear or dirt on a couple of the chairs but don't let that scare you away. The back of one chair has a few small holes. As pictured. The padding feels like new and the wood is really great except for some normal wear. Mostly on the very base of the legs. The table is beautiful! Shows very little wear. Adrian Pearsall created some of the most interesting and unique pieces in America for his company Craft Associates based on Danish designs he saw being shipped and brought over in the 1950's-60's. He borrowed some designs to a"T" And some designs, like this one, he created from his own genius. This extremely rare oversized scoop chair is truly a masterpiece. It will spotlight any room in any place any time for the rest of our lives or anyone who precedes on this Earth. It's just that good. Condition: This piece is in good vintage condition. One of the joints on the chair has been repaired with a little bit of space(less than 1/8th inch) showing. In addition. Two other joints show a bit of space between the joints. Those joints have simply become loose due to age. I have owned seven pieces with the same joints all by ... morePearsall and can tell you these joints are fine and can be used accordingly. I have pictured each joint I am referencing. With that being said, this is not kid-friendly and shouldn't be sat on by a large person. It's a walnut frame made in the 1960's- give it a break. Rare Mid Century Modern ADRIAN PEARSALL Craft Associates 10' Conversation Sofa
Very nice and rare sofa designed by Adrian Pearsall. This is model 2200-S according to the Pearsall catalog. It is a generous 10' 6" long and has walnut veneered tables built in each end and solid walnut trim. The sofa sits on nine tapered walnut legs with brass casters. All of the casters roll smoothly making it easy to move the sofa around the room. The back of the sofa is fully upholstered as well. It is in very good vintage original condition and can be used as is. Or reupholstered to suit. The original upholstery is in very good condition with some light wear, but no tears, rips or stains, and no noticeable odors, the bright spots in some of the pics is sunlight) There is a loose seam on the right front corner of the cushion as shown, but it's not bad and would be an easy repair if it bothered you. The foam is in great shape ... morewith no sagging or hardness. The foundation is excellent, and the frame is sturdy and tight. The walnut veneer and solid walnut trim are in very good condition with some signs of wear to be expected with age and use. There are two small veneer patches on the vertical portion of the left table as shown in the close-up. There is also a faint dark ring on the left table top. The walnut trim along the bottom has a few dings and scratches, but nothing noticeable. All of the flaws are shown in the close-ups. Overall it looks fantastic and could be used as is, as we did) but it's 40+ years old and not perfect. I would be happy to send additional pictures, just let me know. Measures 126" long, approx. 49" deep from the back to the farthest point on the front, seat depth is 23" not including the back cushions. STUNNING Rare Mid Century Modern black lounge chair & ottoman (Adrian Pearsall)
Exquisite condition for a unique period chair I am bringing several pieces to eBay. All of which have been in my family since purchased new. These mid-century modern furniture and art examples were collected by my father in the early 1960s, during that“sweet spot” in his life when he had work that paid well— and no children. All of these items were purchased in the Pacific Northwest, and now that he’s downsizing we’re offering several works that simply aren’t available anywhere else, from designers that helped shape the movement. Here we have a perfectly lovely mid-century modern sculptural walnut and naugahyde lounge chair and matching ottoman. Amazingly nearly as it was when purchased in the 1960s— no rips or tears, and ... moreonly minor scuffs and a crack on the wood. Clearly we were not allowed to sit in it as children; the chair is roughly 29” wide, 38” deep and 30” high, and the ottoman is approximately 24” by 18” by 17” The fabric is near-perfect. With exquisite original stitching; the chair and footrest overall seem to have come from a time machine. As to the designer, we’re not certain; one source feels it is an early Edward Wormley for Dunbar, and I tend to agree— although I do know my father purchased this set at the same time as a large group of Glenn of California furniture. But like other examples of this chair, this one is unmarked. On edit: consensus among the appraisers is that the chair is the product of Adrian Pearsall and Craft Associates. Given the workmanship, style, and(of course) the American walnut. Restored versions of this chair have brought nearly $7.000; in all-original, untouched and showroom condition, it remains very comfortable and worthy of any MCM period collector that’s weary of Eames. Very rare set of 4 matching stools designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates. Each stool has the original Craft Associates tag stapled to beneath the seat. This is a great set for any collector of Adrian Pearsall designed furniture or American mid century design. Each stool has the original upholstery and foam. The fabric has some light staining and the foam does have some dehydration. These stools could be easily reupholstered but I thought that I would leave them in original condition. RARE Adrian Pearsall Side table with ORIGINAL BEAN SHAPED GLASS Mid Century Mod
Up for bid is a BEAUTIFUL Adrian Pearsall side table with the classic lines associated with the sought-after designer. This side table has the much harder to fine ORIGINAL KIDNEY BEAN SHAPED glass. Which is 1/2" and has absolutely no chips(only faint scratches common to the age) Wood is in really fantastic shape, and has a nice, rich walnut glow to it. The base is about 13"X13" and 20" from bottom to top of glass. Glass is 27"X21" widest) and is 1/2" thick. Base comes apart. And all can ship flat(ish) for shipping. You'll definitely want insurance. Really cool original daybed. I believe designed by Frederick Weinberg but no tags or labels to confirm. Measures 74" long by 30" deep. Table is 26.5" from ground when installed on sofa and 12.5" tall when set on floor. Table is original to piece and sets in grooves in sofa front and back. Backs are removeable and can be put in many different positions. All metal is in great vintage condition. There is some light rust here and there but always lived inside. Red upholstery is original and very nice for age. No rips and looks good. There are some minor stains that might be cleaned. Haven't tried. Adrian Pearsall Large Round Lounge Chair Rare Piece for Comfort Designs Inc.
Rare large round lounge chair by Adrian Pearsall from Comfort Designs Inc. circa 1960s. This piece was designed for Pearsall's 2nd company after he sold Craft Associates to Lane. The chair is low and big super comfy for one or 2 or 3. The backrest gently slopes up to back with large padded pillow on seat. This is in all original condition with original gold velvet there are 3 tears on fabric on rim of backrest as seen in photos. The chair is on caster wheels so easy to move around. The chair is in very good vintage condition very solid and stable all caster wheels work great this would look amazing in a more modern classy fabric. If you have any questions please ask.
