It was probably manufactured in the late 1950s, by the majestic Lamp company of New York. Check out my! The lamp's measurements are: about 6 2 inches high at the highest point, and 2 4 inches wide f ro m shade to s h a de. Also the metal base is about 11 inches in diameter. The two fiberglass shades measurements are: about 10 inches diameter, and 6 1/2 in height. This great Majestic lamp works nicely, and is in pretty good vintage condition overall. Although it does show some signs of age. T he metal parts of the base, show some tarnishing& a few marks. This very nice example of a Majestic 1950's Mid-Century Modern. Atomic Space Age, Eames Era Lamp with a two tier Fiberglass shade shows the design and style the fifties was famous for in furniture, lamps and cars. This one is pink glass with gold designs running through which follows to the beige fiberglass shade with black squiggles running through. It has the space age metal Sputnik rods with metal ball ends. The fiberglass shade is very good with no holes or discoloration and all the lacing is intact. The glass part of the lamp has no breaks or damage. The metal has discoloration ans some pitting and I do not know if it will clean. The cord is old with an old plug but is intact and working. The lamp has the original finial. Still a very nice lamp. Keep in mind that the metal has turned and discolored with age when you bid on this lamp. ... moreAll I have seen have this problem. This is a 1950's Mid Century Modern Lamp that has a green ceramic body with curled metal supports. There is a leaf and a flower on the ceramic top. The metal lamp base and curly metal supports are distressed could use cleaning or paint. The felt bottom underneath the lamp base was in poor condition so it was discarded. No lamp shade is included. Floor Lamp Mid Century Eames era Atomic Age Space Age 1950s-60s
A nice Mid-Century floor lamp. I found this at an estate sale awhile back and had planned to do a restoration on it. It is an excellent candidate for restoration because It really doesn't need much work. A simple dis-assembly, paint and polishing the brass is all that would be required to bring this back to a real show piece. Since then, my spare time(and spare space) has been reduced so I have decided to sell this as found. This lamp is in original condition and has not been restored or refurbished previously. The wiring is in perfect working order and all three lights work independently from the 4-Way rotary switch. off; 1 on; 2 on or all three on. As you can see in the pictures the three brass"spear" points and other brass accents are in need of a good polishing. I tested a few areas with steel wool and it cleans up very ... morenicely with no pitting. Only surface corrosion. The swivels attaching the three beige lamp shades are tight, not loose or wobbly. There are no dents or other damage to the shades themselves and the wooden accent handles on the shades are in perfect condition The pole and base are painted a really awful chocolate brown and have numerous scratches and wear in the paint, but no dents or other damage. This lamp measures 61 inches tall. The base is 11 inches in diameter and it weighs 8 1/2 pounds. Shipment will be easy since the base unscrews, as does the spear point top assembly. It can be folded without complete disassembly while still leaving the wiring cord in place. It will fit easily in a fairly large 36" X 16" X 9" carton. Please feel free to ask any questions. VINTAGE MID-CENTURY SPACE AGE 5 ORB CHROME SCULPTURAL TABLE LAMP KOVAC EAMES ERA
T his is an AMAZING Mid-Century Space Age Modern Table Lamp featuring 5 Chrome orbs or"eyeballs" This is a beautiful and versatile work of art that would make a perfect focal piece for any modern minimalist or machine age decor. I tried my best but the photo's really DO NOT do this piece justice! The total lamp height is just under 30" tall and approximately 21- 23" around its widest point at the globes. The base is 8 1/4" in diameter. Each globe is 16" circ. x 4 1/2" tall- five total. At cascading heights. Two of the orb arms are slightly loose/wiggly where they join at the top of the base. All of them pivot so someone who knows what they're doing can probably tighten them easily. One light bulb socket is loose up inside the globe but still functional. Anyone with tools and know-how can easily repair ... morethis also. The wiring is in excellent condition. But it is an older style plug. THE CHROME IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION! It is so shiny and reflective that I could not figure out how to photograph it without reflections of me! For this I apologize! As you can see from the pictures.IT WORKS GREAT! but light bulbs are not included) Note: I only had clear bulbs on hand. But I think frosted round bulbs would look even more amazing. Up for sale is a Mid Century Prescolite ceiling light fixture. I have a total of 11 of this style light available( 9- 24" diameter. 2- 18" diameter) You are buying one. It is in original condition. I purchased these from someone who salvaged them from an old church being remodeled. The diameter for the light in this listing is 24" with a 24" swivel down shaft. These would look great in a Mid Century décor setting or loft. These are aluminum and painted white but I have seen them painted bright colors and they look very cool. This is a Lot of 2 Tulip base end tables or stands. They are 2 different heights. i dont know if they adjust up or down. i dont see how. One stands 17 inches tall other is 21 inches tall. They both are 20 inches in diameter. they have a Heavy steel base covered in brushed aluminum. the tops are enameled. they have chips around the edges and one has 3 circular stains in the top. Mid century UFO VTG 50's Eames era Lightolier space age atomic lamp tripod
Handsome brass lamp. With claw feet and perforated metal diffuser. About 18 inches tall This lamp is unmarked. Though it's looping perforated shade pattern was a hallmark with Lightolier. In fact it looks like a slightly smaller cousin to the famous Thurston/Stiffel(shown as a size reference. Fantastic perforated metal diffuser. And perforated brass-finish shade. Twin sockets take regular sized Edison bulbs. The lamp switch is on the top of the lamp. To change bulbs. You unscrew the round plate at the top and lift off the shade. Very good vintage condition. Shade has no dents. And a minimal amount of superficial scuffs. Brass stem and claw feet have appropriate age related wear. A very sweet lamp. As a mid century lamp lover. Collector and seller, my philosophy is simple and two pronged; 1) RARITY AND BEAUTY One can easily buy a great ... more$1000 contemporary lamp from Holly Hunt or Circa lighting. Or Flos(to name a few) but the lamps I sell will never be produced again and I appreciate their rarity. 2) HONESTY I never sell"Frankenstein" lamps(odd pieces slapped together.
