Direct from an estate full of Mid Century furnishings by makers such as Selig. This awesome piece is in good vintage condition with minor age related blemishes including light surface marks. Nicks, and scratches. see pics) There are no cracks or splits in the wood. The original removable bottom rack is constructed of cane and has only one minor break. see pics) The four legs are easily removable as well for easy shipping. The legs are nicely finished and wrapped in brass. The legs are even and there is no wobble when placed on a flat even surface. Kay Bojesen- early nutcracker in beech wood A very early and rare exampel of the danish wood-design-master Kay Bojesen work. Organically shaped nutcracker depicting the danish primeminister Thorvald Stauning(1924-26 and 1929-42) The nutcracker was designed in 1932 and was made for a decade or so. It is made out of solid hand carved beech wood and assembled with one piece of brass. There are some minor wear and tear to that part of the mouth where the nuts have been cracked. Meassurements: Lengh: 21 cm. Weight: approx: 400 gr. This piece originally came with a sticker saying: Kay Bojesen- Eneret. I have never seen an example with the sticker still on- they wear of during the course of 80 years. Kay Bojesen- large early wooden train/locomotive set in an unspoiled vintage condition A very early and rare exampel of the danish wood-design-master Kay Bojesen work. Train set that consist of 3 main parts. The 2 loads of the set has removable blocks of naturel beech wood. Everything is made out of solid lacquered beech. NOTE: the middle wheels of the locomotive was missing when I found it. Spareparts for these early pieces are imposible to come by. However- I took a set of wheels from a Kay Bojesen horse carriage and they suits the locomotive and works just fine. Despite being 60 years of age it is still very suiting and durable for play. Adjustable load with 6 hardwood blocks and a red hood that comes off. Everything is made out of solid hardwood- probably oak- even the wheels. It is partially painted. The truck is green and burgundy red. The wooden men that comes off and is loosely fitted are red and blue with skin-colored faces. The open design paddle arms on this are fantastic! They have an amazing curvature giving such a beautiful presence to the chair. The upholstery was redone in a wonderful gray tweed fabric and looks terrific. This is a very comfortable easy chair with outstanding lines no matter what the viewing angle. measurements Overall 26" wide by 29” deep by 30 3/4" high. Height from the ground to the front of the seat is 16 1/2" at the front tapering back to 12" at the rear. The distance between the arms is 20 3/4" and the seat is 19" deep. condition Excellent with no issues to report. 1960's Rare Danish LYFA Pendant light model O 203 This rare danish pendant lamp is made by the former lighting manufacturer LYFA in the 1960's. The model name is O 203 and the color is matte blue and white on the inside. Some of the white color nearest the light bulb has perished over the years. Which can be seen by the pictures added below. The pendant light is of course fully functional. I haven’t been able to determine the designer. But architects and designers employed or commissoined by Lyfe during it's 1950s to 1970s heyday period included Piet Hein, Finn Juhl, Claus Bonderup, Ben t Karlby. Louis Weisdorf, Acton Bjørn, Simon Henningsen(the son of PH) Michael Andersen, Klaus Helweg-Larsen, and Nils and Eva Koppel. Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Coffee Table - Finn Juhl Era
This is a large uniquely shaped teak table with long slender tapered legs and a turned up sculptural edge. Teak is full of movement and glows beautifully. It's a great shape to put in front of a sofa or chairs because of its rounded corners or use as a lamp table in a corner. Its marked Mobelintarsia and designed by William Watting. It measures 47 1/4" to the top edge x 31 1/4" wide and 17" tall. I will be shipping this disassembled somewhat so it lays flat in a box. Shipping will be less and it will be easier to handle.
