Mid Century Modern Curtis Jere Style Metal Wall Sculpture
I originally bought this great mid-century Curtis Jere style metal wall sculpture. Because it reminded me of one my grandma had in her house. I used to lie on her living room couch and try to count the leaves. It's similar to Curtis Jere sculptures, however I have not been able to find a signature on it so I don't know the original year or maker. Regardless of maker, this piece will definitely add a mid-century mod feel to your wall. From a distance. The piece appears black, although I believe there is some sort of metal patina on it as in bright light you can see some green and blue, even some orange, like a heat patina. Maybe from the soldering? I tried to capture that in some of the photos. I'm not sure what metal it's made from, but there is some weight to it. the leaves and branches appear to have been soldered together ... moreand it's a very sturdy piece. There is a tiny bit of rust on the front side(captured in one of the photos) which I believe could be brushed off. I like it. I think it adds character. Otherwise in very good, vintage condition. Pair Chrome Jere Style Pop Mid Century Geometric Lamps Evans Sciolari Stilnovo
Rare pair of lamps circa 70s. Unfortunately the labels have been removed but they have a Jere or Sciolari look to them. Both have 3 way sockets. They appear to be chrome plated steel. The condition the chrome has normal wear consistent to age and use- upon examination you will find at one small dent on each lamp. A few scratches and even some light corrosion. Both still shine beautifully, though, like geometric mirrors. Just discovered that one lamp has a dented foot(see last picture) Blocky bases are 5 3/4" wide X 7" front to back. 18 1/2" from the to the top of the blocks. To the tops of the necks are 20 1/2" high. To the top of the socket is approx 23 1/4" Please see my other items for sale. Vintage Mid Century Brutalist Curtis Jere Style Metal OWL, handmade
Vintage Mid Century Brutalist Copper mixed metal OWL Sculpture. Curtis Jere style. The sculpture is made of layers of copper mixed metal acting as his feathers to form his body. The owl has very big and cutie brown-amber color eyes. I included a photo showing a slight imperfection on the left eye. The eyes seem to be clear coated. And some of that coating has been removed from the left eye. This does not take away from the charm of the owl. Other than that, I see no imperfections. The size is approximately 11 3/4"H x 8"W. This would be a wonderful addition to any owl collection. Shipping has been calculated based on standard parcel post for the contiguous 48 states and includes insurance up to $100. Three piece vintage metal wall art for auction. Not marked but a neat set. Sunburst with birds and the center piece has reeds/ grass. The center wood appears to be a type of compressed(particle) wood and the lower left corner has a chip(see photos) Circular"bursts" are 10 1/2" across. All metal(I believe to be copper) Welded, cut& hammered design of mushrooms, stems& snail on metal base. Item stands 4" tall. 6 1/2" wide, 6" deep. Item is in great vintage condition. Appears to be complete, all welds holding strong. Few age related surface scratches. Some rust on the underside on the bottom, as shown in photo's. Item is unmarked.
