Unrestored condition, these beautifully designed and constructed chairs can be fully rehabilitated relatively easily and inexpensively. The chairs are in good. Solid condition with no problems to the vinyl seat portion, but with the following minor issues: there are two very small and unseen teak chips(one pictured) to the joint area on the underside of the chair, as well as one joint that needs to be re-glued(also pictured) on the backrest, there is a break to the cane on one of the chairs(can either be entirely replaced or the existing cane patched on the reverse) and some of the brass screw-mounts ... moreneed to be patched from the frontside(also pictured) Each chair measures approx. 22" wide x 20" deep x 34" high. Wonderful Danish Modern Teak Desk designed by Arne Vodder. Circa late 1950's. Features a 3 drawer cabinet which slides and can be positioned on either side of the desk and a brass hinged drop leaf which is raised into position by simply sliding the top over. In Good Vintage Condition but does have some slight veneer loss to the edges of the drawers. There are also some stains and discoloration spots to the desktop as pictured. Vodder. A Danish architect and designer started designing furniture for Fritz Hansen, France& Son and Sibast, the latter for which he designed a wide range of furniture which received worldwide recognition and success. CREATOR: Arne Vodder(Designer) COUNTRY: Denmark DATE OF MANUFACTURE: Early 1960's MATERIALS: Teak. Green leather, aluminum CONDITION: Good vintage condition. HEIGHT: 41" WIDTH: 28" DEPTH: 21" BASE: Approximately 27" x 27" x12" MORE ON THE CONDITION: The chair itself has the original Rare green leather upholstery which is in good condition overall. There are a few small closed on the front and back ... moreof the back rest and a couple of exposed tears around the corners on the back of the chair. Some light rubbing exist at the edges along with some minor discoration. There is a larger 7" tear on the rear of the seat base in the leather. There is also light indentation along the back of the chair. The seat cushion is original but looks to have been reupholstered at some point and the green leather is different from the chair itself. There is a velcro strip on the cushion base and some discoloration probably from velcro adhesive. The base is in excellent condition. The casters all rotate. And the height adjustment and recline all work correctly. The Teak wood is in excellent condition exhibiting only minor wear most significantly having a couple of small indentations on the arm rests. Please remember this is a vintage item and may show some wear from years of previous use. Creating expected patina, finish tone variation/wear, minor nicks or stains. Carved and shaped solid walnut frame just fantastic. Pure style. Very sculptural arms legs and unique diamond shaped back supports. Recently professionally replaced rubber webbing in the seat and the most beautiful Nubby Oatmeal colored thick weave hopsack fabric cushions fresh and crisp. One chair is marked Made in Denmark Selig Import disk label. Excellent vintage condition one owner lovingly cared for. Some very light natural wood oxidation from age here and there nothing objectionable and very normal for this beautiful original polished finish. No scratches damage or breaks of any kind just lovely vintage.
