These are in excellent condition with the exception of a few spots of minor damage on the caned backrests. See photos of the close ups of the backrests for details. Two of the chairs have little areas of unravel along the top bar of the backrest. One has been glued by a previous owner. You could redo the small areas for perfection. But they are useable as is and the damage isn't progressing. The backrests also have a few tiny breaks within the weaving. These are hard to spot and in no way affect the strength of the backrest. These chairs are very well made and super sturdy. They swivel with ease and are very comfortable with thick cushioned seats and curved backrests at just the right height. Mid-Century Modern Kagan or Pearsall (Style?) Biomorphic Teak/Glass Coffee Table
This is a mid-century modern teak(or possibly walnut) coffee table base with a glass top. The style is sometimes called"biomorphic" I don't know if this is Kagan or Pearsall or just in the style of Kagan and/or Pearsall. In lay terms: the 4-legged base is adjustable-i.e. You can expand or contract it to fit a round glass top or a surfboard-style top. Or, I guess, any other shape. It's really an interesting design. The"legs" are adjustable so that you can raise/lower them to even the table. The legs are solid wood. I've conditioned them with linseed oil. While they're not"mint" They're certainly in fine shape. The brass hardware is all present and functional. Although I have the glass top(which has two tiny chips) I would really, really prefer not to have to ship it. Buyers should know that ... moreit'd probably be cheaper to get a local glass guy to cut a custom top rather than having to ship this 30-pound piece of glass from Canada. Offered is this Danish modern Kagan era Adrian Pearsall Craft and Associates occasional or side table. Great sculptural form in a solid black walnut base with a 3.8" plate glass top. In excellent condition with age associated wear. Some light scratches to the glass top and minor wear to the base but the finish is very good and even. One very tight line in the wood that's barely visible and not a distraction. Overall a very clean and presentable table that's ready to use. The table base measures 16" wide by 20" high and the glass is 24" in diameter. Will be shipped FedEx ground flat rate but I will try to save $ on shipping if I can. Awesome Vintage/Antique Mid Century Wood End/Coffee Table Legs/base are in the Pearsall/Kagan style and look like they are walnut This table is classic Mid Century in design The top is wood also and very heavy. But may be veneered(I can't say for sure as I am no expert) but it is not a Formica-type and it is a warm medium brown shade, as are the legs Top measures 23.5" across and is 1 3/8" thick; the table stands almost 20" tall Condition: The wood finish has dings/finish wear spots on top and sides; legs have a few small dings but nothing too bad-please see all photos. Perhaps one of the more rare Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates table. It is truly unique and quite hard to find. This table is constructed of sculpted solid walnut joined together at the base. No screws. Has the original finish that has not been touched with anything. This table is in pristine condition. Usually there is much more wear on a table dating from the 1960's but there is only one small nick in the base clearly pictured. That is the only defect I can see. Everything else. He sofa sits on a sculpted walnut base and features three backrest cushions. Two armrest cushions, and one long seat cushion that are all removable. The his and her lounge chairs each have a walnut base with curved walnut armrests. Each chair has removable backrest and seat cushions. All removable cushions are zippered which makes for easy cleaning. Condition: The sofa and shorter"her" lounge chair have both been reupholstered and the foam replaced but still has some minor staining and a few areas of discoloration that can easily be cleaned. Adrian Pearsall created some of the most interesting and unique pieces in America for his company Craft Associates based on Danish designs he saw being shipped and brought over in the 1950's-60's. He borrowed some designs to a"T" And some designs, like this one, he created from his own genius. This extremely rare oversized scoop chair is truly a masterpiece. It will spotlight any room in any place any time for the rest of our lives or anyone who precedes on this Earth. It's just that good. Condition: This piece is in good vintage condition. One of the joints on the chair has been repaired with a little bit of space(less than 1/8th inch) showing. In addition. Two other joints show a bit of space between the joints. Mid century modern estate sale acquisition. Beautiful set of A. Pearsall 2 way floor or table lamps. They are 3 ft tall with a teak wood finish. The felt on the bottom is clean and unripped. The gold plate finish on one of the base castings is oxidizing slightly as you can see in the picture. This is the only real blemish. Minimal scuffing and scratches. Up for sale is a Stunning Mid Century Table Lamp. This is a beautiful piece. I believe it is made from walnut. And has a marble table top. It is pretty heavy. Very cool mid century design. I believe it is all original, even the shade and cord, which is pretty rare to find. This is in great as found shape overall. It has some wear which is consistent with something of this age. It is in really great condition, but not perfect. The brass could use a little polishing if you are picky, little nicks here and there.but it definitely can be used as is, very clean overall. With the original finish, still in showroom condition. Wood base measures 25" x 25" and stands 15" tall. The base weighs 5 pounds. Glass top measures 36" across. 3/8" thick, and weighs 35 pounds. I am bringing several pieces to eBay(please see my Other Items) All of which have been in my family since purchased new. These mid-century modern furniture and art examples were collected by my father in the early 1960s, during that“sweet spot” in his life when he had work that paid well— and no children. All of these items were purchased in the Pacific Northwest; please feel free to make an offer on any of these items(when available) and of course contact me to ask any questions you might have. This is a set of six(6) vintage mid century modern solid walnut dining chairs commonly(and variously) attributed to Vladimir Kagan. Adrian Pearsall, Craft Associates, and Glenn of California, dated to 1963. Regardless, all tags have been torn off. I recall one of these chairs being repaired over the years, and recent inspection reveals some sloppy ... morework indeed(see picture, at least it’s relatively hidden) but that chair is the exception to a well-kept set. The original black vinyl remains on the seats, with solid American walnut for the leg framing. I’ve sat in them all, and they’re all comfortable and sturdy. There is some age-appropriate scratching around the legs. But no dirt or grime. The vinyl is astoundingly good, with no tears or even scrapes, and the stitching is perfect. Super nice sculptural design and very comfortable to sit and relax in. This chair will make a welcome addition to your mid century home. Thank you for your consideration. Item Description Up for auction is a vintage ottoman designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates. The walnut frame is in excellent condition. The tufted cushion has some wear on two of the buttons(see last picture) The straps appear to be original and are in good. Solid condition; no tears or cracks. Listing: This listing is for a pair of amazing mid century modern ultra sleek and stylish stools. These have great sculpted scissor style legs very much in the manner of Vladamir Kagan. Adrian Pearsall, or even Pierre Jeanneret. They are upholstered in a unique vintage Brazilian fabric from the 1950's by designer Deborah Baldacconi. Condition: Overall excellent condition. There are normal signs of age including scratches and some missing screws as well as a few replaced. The fabric is in very good condition and the foam is very nice with only one spot of mild warping on one stool. There is a slight separation to one stool as shown in photo number 5, it is only on one stool and on one side. Measurements: Stools are 18" high. Shipping: Stools can be disassembled for shipping. Mid Century Modern Danish SOLID TEAK Floor Lamp Kagan Pearsall McCobb 60's
I simply cannot say enough about this incredible mid century mod floor lamp. Huge. Solid beams of teak, all three inches thick, forming a beautiful rising rectangle with gently curved edges. Incredible symmetry, with a very luxurious and solid look that comes from the glowing beams of teak. Visually stunning, quintessential mid century modern design. The cord is completely hidden inside a hole that has been bored all the way through the teak beam- amazing quality of construction. Measurements- 61.5" height to top of finial 51" height to top of socket 3" thick solid teak 7" width from edge of beam to edge of beam 10.5" diameter of base Has a few very minor. Very small nicks that are clearly included in photo gallery. Some very minor separation in teak joint on top corner, which is age appropriate and does not at all ... moreeffect strength or stability of joint. Overall an 8.5 out of a perfect 10. Superb, superb superb. I have never seen another like it. The socket has been replaced sometime in its past. So I cannot tell for sure if it is American in origin or Danish. But I can say with certainty that it comes from the studio of one of the masters, perhaps Vladimir Kagan, perhaps Adrian Pearsall.
