Mid-Century Modern Slat Tables/Benches
Pair of vintage slat tables/benches in their original vintage condition. Approximate dimensions: 31.5" W x 18" D x 12" tall. The tops have slightly rounded edges. I'm not sure what type of wood they are but the finish color is walnut. The top finish on one of the tables is slightly better than the other which has a relatively small. Discolored patch depicted in one of the photos. There are minor signs of age here and there but you really have to look for them. Overall, they're solid, beautiful vintage accent tables/benches.

There are a few nicks and dings, but after all she is about 50 years old, From what I've researched on this table it was made in the 60's, most of these tables were made of teak or walnut, but i can't tell you for sure what kind of wood this is. This piece has been sitting in an attic collecting dust. When I brought it home I put some Johnsons paste wax to bring out her shine, that is the only thing i've done with her and she is a beauty.The very top of the table in the center looks like the finish is starting to get wore, but the wax made it look really good. Vintage Danish Mid Century Modern Slat Coffee Table. Nelson Style. Yugoslavia
I have for sale a vintage slat coffee table. It was made in Yugoslavia. Using beechwood( The dimensions are: 36" long. 18" wide, 16" tall. The slats are 1.25" wide. The legs can be unscrewed. One of the corners is chipped(see last photo) A side-slat on the inside. Is glued to the end of the crossbars. see photo# 10 and 11) One connecting area has chipped wood as well. photo# 11) It does have some water stains/marks. This table has a nice patina. Here is a vintage. Mid Century Modern, wood slat coffee table. It has Danish tapered legs with brass tips and there are 7 slats and 3 cross bars. This is a gorgeous table but it is vintage and has some signs of wear. This can be refinished if desired but the table can be used as is as well. Judge for yourself. I have taken photos from many angles to show you its condition. There is no maker's mark on the table. It was part of a Mid Century Modern living room set. The brass tips need polishing and there are surface scratches to the wood as well as some damage in the corners of the table. Still looks very nice. Damage is mostly visible when you are looking closely for it. Still very functional as is and perfect for everyday use. Or refinish it and get it back to pristine condition. However it is often incorrectly stated they are made of walnut- they were originally stained and dark lacquer was used to get them to look like Walnut but it is a birch or oak- not walnut. We do not know if they were produced by Adrian Pearsall but it would seem unlikely given that they are not walnut. Possibly they were imported by Raymor. Walnut is not that strong compared to other woods. They are desired because not only do they look good. They are some of the strongest Mid century Eames era benches ... moreever made. Beveled edges to the slats coupled with angled edges on all slats with a good thickness to the wood and ample used of screws to the undersides. These were custom finished to have a quasi-patched and glazed undertone and then completed in multiple layers of shellac.
