But he has dings on his upper and lower lip and his tail is missing. She is in better condition, from her red lips to her bejeweled ears and fluttering eyelashes. I think she got the better of him! She has her tail but it is bent and frayed at the base. Both have a little roughness on the edges of their ears. Legs, feet, hands, and head. Wood does show wear and discoloration. No attempts have been made to clean him, please view the photos closely. Kay Bojesen- large early wooden train/locomotive set in an unspoiled vintage condition A very early and rare exampel of the danish wood-design-master Kay Bojesen work. Train set that consist of 3 main parts. The 2 loads of the set has removable blocks of naturel beech wood. Everything is made out of solid lacquered beech. NOTE: the middle wheels of the locomotive was missing when I found it. Spareparts for these early pieces are imposible to come by. However- I took a set of wheels from a Kay Bojesen horse carriage and they suits the locomotive and works just fine. Despite being 60 years of age it is still very suiting and durable for play. Kay Bojesen- early nutcracker in beech wood A very early and rare exampel of the danish wood-design-master Kay Bojesen work. Organically shaped nutcracker depicting the danish primeminister Thorvald Stauning(1924-26 and 1929-42) The nutcracker was designed in 1932 and was made for a decade or so. It is made out of solid hand carved beech wood and assembled with one piece of brass. There are some minor wear and tear to that part of the mouth where the nuts have been cracked. Kay Bojesen set of early wood figurines 1950s danish mid century - finn juhl era
Kay Bojesen- early wooden figurines titled"Bonde par" The farmer couple" with original paint A very early and relatively rare exampel of the danish wood-design-master Kay Bojesen work. These figurines were made in the 1930s and were a part of Kay Bojesen's"Bondegården" in english"The Farm" The figurines is made out of solid hardwood- probably oak and painted in red. White, blue, black, yellow and pink(face and arms) All original from the workshop of Kay Bojesen. They have been played with and the paint has partially worn off in places. Kay Bojesen- early wooden truck with original paint work A very early and rare exampel of the danish wood-design-master Kay Bojesen work. Truck with to men. Adjustable load with 6 hardwood blocks and a red hood that comes off. Everything is made out of solid hardwood- probably oak- even the wheels. It is partially painted. The truck is green and burgundy red. The wooden men that comes off and is loosely fitted are red and blue with skin-colored faces. The gold paint on the blue man is not an original feature and is applied by a child later on. Meassurement: Length: 37 cm. Height: 11 cm- at the load. Width: 13.5 cm- at the load. This is a vintage modern. Sculpted wood Amorphic Animal or Giraffe figured Clothes or Shoe Brush, with its design showing influences of Swiss toy maker Antonio Vitali. The bristles appear to be natural horsehair. It stands 7& 3/8" tall. Is 6& 1/4" in length and 2& 1/8" wide. It is in great condition. With only very minor surface scratching, and a few little nicks, as evidence of normal handling. At our own discretion. Beautiful designed plate by iconic designer. Comes as part of a huge high end mid century collection that included kai kristiansen model 42 chairs. Nelils moller gudme chairs and table, svend madsen desk, johannes andersen ba113 chairs and a ton more mid century designer pieces. Check retrospektiv.net for some more pics of items to come.
