Three-bay Rosewood CADO wall unit. Purchased on ebay about 8 years ago. The unit features two cabinets: a two-door and a drop-front desk. The cabinet has a shelf. The drop-front desk has a vertical divider but no inserts. There is a non-original key that works perfectly. Note: the drop-front desk will fall open if not locked. There are five shelves(two 8" Two 12" and one 14 1/2" of varying darkness. Super Rare CADO Wall Unit Lights mid-century danish vintage eames CADOVIUS lamps
Here is a set of 3(three) SUPER RARE CADO Clip-on Lights for CADO Wall& Shelf Units. They are made of lightweight metal. Each enclosure contains 2 light bulbs. They can be used with any shelf system as long as the shelf thickness is around 3/4" They are in good shape with minor wear. The wires appear to have been cut and then reattached half way through. Its components include a glass display case, general storage box, folding hide-away desk, a seperate desk storage section, a file box with built in dividers, 3 seperate shelves(2 of which are in glass case and storage box) and one angled shelf. Perfect for sheet music, drafting work, to display paperwork, Art, etc. Not only is this one of the most versatile wall units. This auction is for a 1960's Mid Century Danish Modern Rosewood Cado Wall Unit. It comes with 3 cabinets. One cabinet has sliding doors with brackets inside for shelving(no shelves) One cabinet has pull open doors with one shelf, and one cabinet has a drop front desk or bar with 2 drawers in upper right(see pictures) Unit also consists of 2 large 18" wide shelves, One 15" wide shelf, and one 9" wide shelf. All cabinets and shelves are 31.5" long. There are extra rails and brackets so unit could be expanded. There are 5 long rails in all and one partial rail. The long rails measure approx. 80" long and the partial rail is 48" ... morelong. Besides the brackets for 4 shelves there are 4 more pairs(or 8) extra brackets for some 9" shelves(see pictures) Unit is in excellent condition with only a few chips or scratches, a ring on one shelf, only very light wear consistent with normal use. Beautiful wood and patina. Some paint or tape on side of a couple of rails. 2 cabinets are 18" wide, the desk is 15" wide. The 15" shelf has a smaller 12" bracket but works with new front dowel. Cabinets are well made. They are strong and structurally sound. Mid-Century Danish Modern Cadovius CADO Teak Cabinets Wall Unit Royal System
Item Description Up for auction is a pair of vintage Poul Cadovius cabinets. I found these in an amazing house in Lincoln. MA. The owner had them set up side-by-side and used them as a desk. One is in excellent-mint condition and the other one is in fair-poor condition(see pictures) The better of the two has 2 drawers but based on wear patterns there were probably three originally. The good one also has a notch in the rear of the cabinet but the other one does not have the notch; the back is flush. The cabinets I've seen that belong to the Royal System have a keyhole not a handle. You may be able to buy a piece of teak laminate to replace the existing back on the lesser one. Looking at the inside and the back of the two cabinets there is a definite difference in age and materials but the fronts are identical and the woven lattice pattern ... moreis in excellent-mint condition. The tops of both have some very light wear, one has a water ring. One last thing- the wooden rails that the cabinets hang on seem to be rosewood not teak. The good one measures 31.5" x 14.75" x 16.75" The lesser one measures 31.5" x 14" x 16.75" The two small inner drawers measure 12.5" x 9.75" x 1.75" Shipping Shipping is NOT $1.
