Fantastic. 100% original, vintage walnut coffee table by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates. Table features a biomorphic heavy tempered glass top, mated with a rich walnut base. Glass top has only light scratches/ scuffs which are common to glass tables of this vintage. No chips. The walnut base is spectacular with an all original finish, fantastic grain, original floor pads, and original rubber glass pads, which are still pliable. The base measures 15-1/2" high. The glass top measures 50" long by 33" wide. We can no longer use this because of the addition of a second dog( they like to chase each other IN the house! Offered is this Danish modern Kagan era Adrian Pearsall Craft and Associates occasional or side table. Great sculptural form in a solid black walnut base with a 3.8" plate glass top. In excellent condition with age associated wear. Some light scratches to the glass top and minor wear to the base but the finish is very good and even. One very tight line in the wood that's barely visible and not a distraction. Overall a very clean and presentable table that's ready to use. Adrian Pearsall For Lane X Base Round Glass Top Coffee Table Mid Century Modern
This is a beautiful MCM coffee table by Lane. It is an Adrian Pearsall design that was produced by Lane Furniture. Although pearsall didn't work for lane furniture directly. Lane bought his company, craft, and with it they purchased his copyrights, designs, etc. so lane became the exclusive furniture maker to produce pearsall designs. The wood frame is round with glass inset and criss cross legs. I believe the wood is either ash or oak. The color is very similar to Heywood Wakefild furniture. It measures 41" in diameter and 15" tall The legs have a slightly darker color on the very bottoms but no other damage. So I do not believe that it is water damage. The glass has some light scratches and the wood base has one spot with a few scratches, shown in last photo. The bumpers that the glass sits on have begun to deteriorate, as you can see in the photos they have cracks in them, they are still functional but would also be easy to replace if desired. Adrian Mount Pearsall was a renowned furniture designer. Yachtsman, and philanthropist Born September 18, 1925, in Trumansburg, Adrian graduated from the University of Illinois, class of 1950, with a degree in architectural engineering. He left the architectural field after two years to found"Craft Associates, which became one of the country's most prominent furniture designers during the mid-century"Atomic Age. With the help of his wife Dorie, he began building furniture in the basement of their Kingston home and sold pieces from the back of their truck to prominent New York and Philadelphia department stores. Has all rubber support pads for the glass as well as the metal buttons on the bottom. Base is in great condition with only a few minor imperfections. And looks near new. It is actually from a bb gun her son shot in the house years back and hit the glass. It is practically unnoticeable unless you point it out. Probably could be sanded out as a friend of mine suggested. Beautiful table as is. Great for any livingroom. Due to the glass being so heavy and fragile I have to charge a high cost for shipping and handling. I prefer to sale to someone I could meet.
