Please see all pictures. Description: Vintage Chest style dresser from Brown Saltman of California. This mahogany dresser was designed by John Keal and is both beautiful and ingenious. It is ... moremade entirely from mahogany including the structural components. It is quite a universal piece with 8 smaller drawers on the bottom and three long drawers on top. The lower drawer compartment has a 2 two dowel hanging area behind the door on one side and 3 small shelves on the other. None of the drawers on the entire chest are exposed. It is very elaborate design and reminds me of the expensive travel trunks at the turn of the 20th Century with their compartments. Hangers and hidden shelves. The upper compartment has a door that folds down to become a temporary shelf or table. Please take a close look. It is a fairly complicated piece. But at one point we had the three matching tables and the copper/ resin design and walnut are an exact match. The cultured stone/resin design has a copper look just like the tables and is just stunning beneath the glass. There are marks and scrapes on the walnut consistent with age and use. See the photos! This lamp presents very well, you will be pleased. It measures 38 inches from the floor to the top of the finial. The walnut base is roughly 6.5" in diameter and 22" tall. The shade is 16" in diameter and 20" tall. It appears to have the original 3 way switch and cord and works well. The finial also appears original. This Mid Century Modern coffee table is very rare and is one of the neatest John Keal designs. It reminds me of the1950's Dobie Guillis show and Manard G. Krebbs. His"beat nik" buddy. The slide out table top reveals a votif candle Silex burner plate(see pictures) It is designed to keep the coffee warm or maybe a fondue pot? The design is low and sleek. It is about 14" tall and is 20" wide and 48" long. I can imagine a Mad Magazine under the glass top on the end and a Look Magazine on the lower level. Good luck on bidding on this wonderful coffee table! I would consider hand delivering the table to west coast locations for a fee after payment is complete.

This compartment is convenient for storage of magazines or newspapers. The black naugahyde vinal upholstery is still pretty much in perfect condition with no anomalies. This King size headboard has the original sticker from the California plant where it was made and then shipped to the store located here in Albuquerque. New Mexico where it was sold. This headboard is in very good condition for it's age and has only very little wear that would be commensurate with age and is in very good vintage condition. Set of 6 Mid Century Modern Walnut Dining Chairs by John Keal for Brown Saltman in excellent condition. Chairs are incredibly sturdy and made of solid walnut wood. Ultra comfortable and ergonomic as well. The wood grain on these is gorgeous. There are 4 regular chairs and 2 Captain chairs. I am selling these for a client who paid 4 times as much for them and has recently re-decorated. The chairs have original upholstery which is clean and in great vintage condition. These could also very easily be reupholstered for cheap as the shape of the chair and cushion are very simple to re-upholster. A few of the chairs are missing the small wood caps that cover the screw holes on the back. These can be purchased at any hardware store for 25 cents each. Otherwise all chairs are structurally in excellent shape, no chips, scratches, stains, or markings ... moreto the wood. It has 6 upper drawers and 3 along the bottom(pic#12) The bottom drawers are done in pressed board made to look like cork. The drawer pulls are some of the coolest I've seen(pic#11) This piece does have issues that need to be repaired. As seen closer in pics#4-9. Because of these issues I am offering it for a great price, but there are no returns on this piece. The piece retains its original Brown Saltman tag as seen in pic#10. Large horizontal piece has some stains and needs refinishing; black base needs some touch-up. Otherwise the table is in good condition. It's a beautiful walnut.
