I am presuming that the fiberglass shell was cleaned up at some point and some kind of clear coating was used to protect the fiberglass shell and enrich the color. Herman Miller Eames Era Steel Frame Chair Orange Upholstered Marked
Here is a vinyl and upholstered steel frame chair marked Herman Miller in two locations. This chair is somewhat of an oversized chair- it is about 2 foot wide. The seat back is about 26" high and goes half way up the back of my head, and the seat depth is about 19 1/2" deep. The measurements of the chair around the base are about 25" x 22" The front of the chair is an orange color, and I believe it is vinyl. The back and underneath of the chair is all upholstered material, a orange/green very small tweed design. The chair is marked on the front of the frame with the Herman Miller logo and name, and is also marked underneath with a sticker that says inspected by Lloyd DeKoc(I think) and then Herman Miller. The front side of the chair has some small marks, pinpricks, and very very tiny slices and one spot(almost looks like ... morea cigarette burn) where the back meets the seat. The upholstery, though dirty, has no rips or holes in it. This chair is really in nice shape for its age, and needs a very good cleaning. It is very sturdy and quite heavy, I am not sure what the metal/chrome frame is made of, but it is a magnetic material. The black frame around the back of the chair is not magnetic, nor are the armrests. The chair will be disassembled for delivery and to save on shipping charges. Vintage Eames Era molded wood and vinyl chair. This chair belonged to my mother and I think it was bought in the 60s. It is in really good condition with some wear for age. The stain has worn off the edge of the corners of the legs near the bottom. But this would be easy to touch up. The vinyl is in good condition, but does have one small dark spot in the seat, and one small white speck. On the molded wood that supports the back rest, there are a few black spots. They look a little like paint that could be rubbed off. The vinyl is an avocado green. It is a very comfortable chair. My mother always thought this was a Herman Miller chair. But it is not marked. 7 Krueger Green Bay Wisconsin Side Chairs This listing is for 7 Krueger Turquoise fiberglass mid-century side chairs in pretty good condition. The chairs comes right out of the 50's/60's. The chairs are in good vintage condition with minor fading. Some minor scuffing from stacking, and some light surface cracks that do not go very deep. A couple of chairs are chippped on the edges. They are not perfect. There are some chairs that have stains in the seats from storage but looks like with the right cleaning product they will come up beautiful. The chrome finish is generally good with a little rust showing at the very bottoms of one of the legs. A sharp looking chair. The chair is 32" tall and 18-1/2" across. Here is a rare Noguchi"Measured Time" clock from the 1930's. The Measured Time clock was Isamu's first Industrial design. And predates the Radio Nurse. This example is in need of some restoration. Missing the top clear plastic piece. there is one small edge chip on back.and has a couple cracks to the body. The face is in great shape. a lil bit of moisture mark to lower part of paper face. but really hard to see except upon close inspection. I was told by a bakelite guy that black is the easiest color to work with, and the cracks can be filled and polished out. and the clear plastic piece can be replicated. or found off a parts example. The body could use a cleaning/polish. and the timer runs but stops after a minute or so, so the clock would need a servicing.
