Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree With Storage Bench & Beveled Mirror & Butterfly Hook
For your consideration is this Very Nice Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree. I have been told it dates back to the late 1800s. But i am not sure, could be the early 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern ... moreabove the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. Below the medallion is a brass looking swing arm candle holder. It is very ornate and holds a taper style candle. There is a scratch in the wood on the back piece just to the left of the candle holder. Just ... morebelow the candle holder on each side of the back piece are 2 more small hooks. The seat is hinged and lifts up for storage. The seat. Seat rail and legs are worn looking and do have some burn marks and stains on them. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. On the back of the hooks is 1908 I was told that the 1908 refers to the patent number. We took the hook off to authenticate the age of this piece, it is over 150 yrs old. Antique Oak Hall Tree w. Beveled Mirror, circa 1900
This is a very unusual hall tree. I have never seen one quite like it. There are flat grooved columns on each side with hooks at top, they are connected to back with a shelf. Applied carving adorns the crest with hook on each side. Instead of the typical lift up lid there is a large drawer at the bottom w. brass handle pull. on the left side behind column is an umbrella holder with original drip pan. The shaped beveled mirror is original, hence there are a few spots and streaks, but doesn't detract from the looks. Total width, including umbrella holder, is 39" depth is 18" height is 80-1/2" We have not refinished this hall tree, the finish appears to be original and is quite good, the piece is structurally strong as well. Heavy. Varnish is worn in ereas with some scuffs/ scratches. No rmal wear for antique piece. Beautiful piece! Measures approx. 67 3/4" tall. Each wood leg extends 9" from square pole. ANTIQUE CHINESE JAPANESE GEISHA WARRIOR HALL TREE COAT RACK STAND GESSO OVERLAY
We are pleased to offer this antique to older vintage. Art Deco era, hall tree or coat/hat stand. This beautiful stand features turned wood body and base. Wrought iron acanthus/lotus vines provide the upper hanging section. There are 4 upturned, wrought iron arms, each with two areas/hooks for use. There is also a center wrought iron finial which could hold a hat or scarf. The wood is painted black(not lacquered) with a textured, slightly rough feel. The body is accented with a thick, paint/gesso overlay. This is used to form two figures on the stand as well as the design on the base. The upper body of the stand features a beautiful and detailed Geisha. Her garments and features are intricately detailed and wrap around the wooden column in a panoramic fashion. There is a lovely and subtle painted pattern on her robe. On the other side of ... morethe upper column is a large lotus flower. The lower column features a warrior or man of importance. He is also nicely and finely detailed and is standing on somewhat textured ground. On the opposite side of the man is a large, painted gold scroll design. The circular base is adorned with gesso painted characters/symbols as well as water/earth designs. Rounded flat head screws hold the wrought iron section to the body. The body is dowelled on the bottom and fits tightly into the base. Four small nails have been hammered upward to give extra hold to the base and column fitting. This is a unique and gorgeous hall tree. It is in very good antique condition. The black painted finish has only a few slight scuffs and nothing distracting. There is some cracking in the old gesso which is very common for this medium. There is a small section of the Geisha's face that is missing as well a small section on the base. These are not very noticeable and are not glaring. They do nothing to subtract from this subtly ornate old piece. It is quite lovely. The stand measures 61" tall. It is 14" in diameter at the top. Antique Victorian Hall Tree w/ Mirror Walnut Spindle Style c 1900 Eastlake
Wonderful Victorian hall tree with elements of Eastlake style. This piece is made from beautiful dark walnut and has a central mirror with bevelled edges. The arched top and middle panel have quintessential spindle shapes above a scrolled. Tray-like shelf. A circular brass piece on the lowest shelf was likely intended for holding umbrellas. Four decorative brass hooks are fastened along the sides for hanging coats and have long threaded backs that allow them to be used to affix the hall tree to a wall for stability. A beautiful piece that will add a touch of welcome to any entrance way. Overall. This piece is in good condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use. There are a few chips and dings to the wood as well as some dings and minor oxidation to the brass. Otherwise, there are no breaks or visible repairs. The overall measurements are 46" wide x 17" deep x 93" tall. There are brass hoods to hold caps or hats. And brass knobs on the cabinet doors. This auction is for a beautiful Turn of the Century 1890-1900 Victorian Oak Hall Rack Umbrella/ Cane Holders Original finish with beautiful beveled mirror and hand carved design and details. It has the original hooks- three hooks on both sides of the mirror. It has two cabinet doors to store items inside on two shelves. The lower section contains a pair of recessed panel doors opening to two fixed shelves. Drawer opens smoothly and doors close easily and one has a locking latch to secure it to always be closed or unlock latch to open both doors at once. It has a beautiful pediment on top with scroll and carvings and it features a beveled mirror on its center with six convenient metal hooks and a shelf below it. In addition it has decorative pieces of wood on its back and a smooth operating glove drawer that is well built with dovetail joinery and it has a traditional facing with a very attractive brass handle. The two umbrella stands offers two metal containers on the bottom and it has lovely turned posts on its front. This piece has minor age appropriate signs of wear otherwise overall in very good cosmetic and structural condition and it is strong and sturdy. Victorian iron standing hall tree umbrella stand lions fruit
Antique Victorian style iron hall tree coat rack and umbrella stand. Could use a repainting but have been told to let the buyer do that. This stands 79 inches high and is 31 inches across at the widest arms. Beautiful details as shown in photos topped by a bounty of fruit and detailed with lions and fantastic scrolling. With a bit of tlc this would make a magnificent entry way piece. This can be un bolted into. 3 pieces for transport plus the drip pan makes 4. Very heavy piece.
