NICE Antique Arts& Crafts Era Early 1900s Brass Umbrella Stand I want to wish a happy holidays to all my wonderful customers. I am listing light this week. But will have lookouts of new items next week. I went to a local small flea market and focused on finding lots of unique items for you- it was a success! Here is a fabulous early 1900's oh-so-arts-and-crafts brass umbrella stand for you. Don't you love the simplicity of the design? It's a relief lined pattern that makes simple boxes. And the stand measures 18 3/8" tall, 8 5/8" diameter across the top, 8 1/4" diameter across the bottom, with an inside opening of 6 1/4" It weighs just under 2 1/2 lbs. The stand is solid brass except the bottom, which is tin. I'm showing the inside of the base in photos 8& 9 where you can see surface rust- it's ... moresurface only, with no holes or eat throughs- no light shining through at all when held up to the light. You can see the rust(a little thicker, but still on the surface only) on the perimeter of the outside bottom only- as I'm showing in photos 10& 11. On the underside, you can see the solder that connects the bottom to the sides, the light surface rust on the perimeter, and even some glorious green oxidation from the brass. The stand is in excellent solid, sturdy and usable condition. Totally structurally sound and displaying beautifully. I had to look really really hard to find a couple of very very light and small impressions- not even large enough to call dings- that's it. The patina is dark and yummy from age. It's dusty/dirty and could use a good bath. I have not cleaned it, or done anything to mess with the as found patina in any way. Love it and use it! Please ask if you have any questions. Antique Art Nouveau Copper Umbrella Stand Holder ~ Brass Lion Head Handles Vintage Antique Art Nouveau Large Copper Brass Umbrella Stand and Cane Holder ~ Brass Lion Heads on Handles Measures 22" tall. 10 1/2" across top and base. Umbrella opening is 7" in diameter. This has not been polished in a long time. And shows signs of oxidation from age. It can be left as is for the aged vintage look, or would be wonderful restored, with a little elbow grease. The copper is more evident under the top rim of the umbrella holder and all over when in sunlight or under certain lighting. Age has given it a more brassy look all over. Age and oxidation has also created a slight blue color around edges of the lion heads- just adding to the beauty and charm of this vintage stand. Antique Vintage Brass Umbrella and Cane Stand with 2 Lion Heads This stand has not been cleaned. Great Patina! Lion Heads with handles Unusual Octagon Shape(8 sides) Over 100 years old Initials engraved onto the bottom of the stand( SR and RTH) This fabulous brass umbrella stand has a beautiful aged finish with a n unusual octagonal shape. There are 2 lion head handles on opposite sides. The brass varies in color tone. Due to patina, verdigris, use and exposure to the elements. Really a lovely vintage piece. You can actually see the dings in the underside from many years of umbrellas hitting the inside bottom of the stand. Umbrella stand measures 21 1/2" in height and has a 10 1/4" ... morewide base/ top. Opening is 7 1/4" wide.
