There are 6 of the original coat hooks and the beveled mirror has NOT been resilvered. The hall tree is from the Arts& Crafts era. Early 1900s. in good original condition. The base does not have the lift up seat. The drip pan is not original, but works very well. The beveled mirror needs to be resilverd or replaced($45) Stands about 80 inches tall AND is 21 inches wide, not counting the umbrella holder. FREE Local pick up is best, or I am traveling from Portland Or. to Pheonix Az. in a week through Calif. Old Mission Style Hall Tree/ Coat Tree/ Umbrella Stand Oak Up for auction is a lovely old hall tree. The wood is oak. It has 2 umbrella holders. 6 hooks, one enclosed cabinet, and a shelf. I am not sure if the backboard(thinner) wood is oak. The dimensions are: 70" tall 27" wide 11" deep 7" wide umbrella opening. 6" wide at the bottom. The oak framework pieces for the umbrella section are 1 1/4" wide on top, and 2 1/4" wide at the bottom. The short shelf is 11" long x 3" deep Enclosed cabinet is 25" tall x 10" wide x 10" deep Small head nails used throughout. Please note: I do not think that the hooks are original to the piece. And multiple holes have been drilled over the years. The diamond shaped area was for a mirror, but I do not have the mirror. There are 8 original holes to ... morehold the mirror. There are 5 additional holes drilled into the backboard area that are not original. The enclosed cabinet has one shelf but only has only one support piece so the shelf is not installed. Some wear and tear on the bottom of the legs. At the curved top of the unit(a separate piece) that is held in by a groove, there is a bit of damage to the wood. Only a few deep scratches. Turn Of The Century Mission Style Oak/Chestnut Wood? Coat Rack(SEE ALL 12-PHOTOS) Nice overall condition with no structural issues. A nicely age appearance with no cracks. Chips or gouges. NOTE: One of the steel hooks looks to have been replaced at some point in the past(SEE PHOTOS#7 and#8) The hook is exactly the same as the other three. But the"ware/patina" is not at the point of the other hooks. Other than that, there's just your typical 100 years of"general ware" I can not tell for certain what wood is used. I believe it's either oak or chestnut. Measures 70" tall overall. The post is 2-1/2" x 2-1/4" and the base(leg width) measures 23-1/2" across. Offered for sale is a very nice antique mission oak Arts and Cafts era hall tree or coat rack hat stand. It is a high quality. The hooks are orignal and are wrought iron. No broken or missing hooks. It stands around 74 inches tall and makes a 18.5 inch footprint at the bottom. It weighs around 13 pounds. It is in very good conditon. Some small abrasions. Chips, etc which I have shown in the pictures. There is some white paint rub on the top point, which should come of easily with some extra fine steel wool. In order to keep shipping costs dowm. the base will be disassembled from the pole. I will also remove the hooks as antique wrought iron tends to be brittle and removing the hooks will lessen the possiblity of breakage during shipment. As you can see in the pictures. The mirror is in great condition, there is a cubby with hinged lid for keys, shoehorns, hatpins, etc. Originally there were six had hooks, but the current owner preferred using just four. Antique/Vintage Mission~Arts & Craft Styled~Medium Oak~Wooden Hall Tree
You are looking at a Wonderfully Detailed Arts& Craft/ Mission Style Wooden Hall Tree. This fabulous Hall Tree is 5'5" tall and 22 inches wide at the base& is structurally in excellent condition. There are four brass or bronze hooks- one on each of the four sides. Each hook has two parts. So technically there are eight places to hang your hats. Umbrellas, or coats. The larger hooks are quite detailed in the Arts and Crafts design style. Just below the hooks are two areas having knots in the wood- where branches had once been a part of the tree this wood came from. I have taken pictures of these areas please look at them carefully. The finish at the top of the piece is showing some mottling of the stain. At the base there is some chipping or rubbing of the stain and the original wood color is showing through. Which is commensurate ... moreof a piece of this age. The base of this Hall Tree is well made. There are several pieces of wood forming the base structure. I have taken detailed pictures of this area as well. This Arts& Craft or Mission Style Hall Tree would be a wonderful addition to your home. Fresh from a local estate we offer this rare form Limbert hall mirror currently missing the hooks. It measures 37.5" x23.5" Appears to have the orginal finish that shows some light wear. It is branded on the back with the Limbert mark. The backboard of the mirror is delaminating as shown. The hooks have been removed but could be replaced for minimal investment.
