This one is in my shabby style painted a sea blue and distressed to give it that authentic look. It is adorned with very ornate vintage cast iron coat hooks. Beautiful and very functional. This piece measures about 31 inches wide by about 16 inches tall. The hooks are very large measuring almost 6 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches deep. Awesome one of a kind piece. Antique Silver Art Deco Cast Iron Stand with Etched Glass Top: c. 1925-1950
This stand/table is in the Art Deco design and is probably from about 1925-1950. It is cast iron painted in a good condition silver color paint. It is in the original found condition with no noted repairs. Breaks or missing parts. The paint and stand is in very good condition with wear appropriate and consistent with the age and use. The glass is in fine condition also with no known cracks, chips or damage. It has a gold painted, etched, floral design with a lot of the original paint present(please see picture 7) There is a nice Art Deco designed finial on the stretcher portion between the designed legs. The base measures 31" across and the top ring measures 31.50" across. This item was an original fixture in a local clothing store near Chattanooga that opened in 1919. I was able to obtain two of these and as you can see the pole is missing on this one. This would be a simple project to get the pole and a cap to re-create the piece. I have looked at the local hardware stores and they do have cast poles that would work. There is a wheel that is missing but it still rolls. The top is a incredible Art Nouveau design with a beautiful patina where nearly 100 years of clothes hangers have moved on the top rail. T here is a chip on the back lower right corner(see photo) that could be easily patched. Otherwise the wood is nice and solid with two holes in the back from it's original hanging. Five cast iron double hooks with detailed scroll design extend 2-1/8" from the base on the top and 1-1/4" from the base on the bottom. All the hooks are nice. Solid and straight. Exquisite Vintage Early Cast Iron Plant Stand Lacy Victorian Coalbrookdale (?)
What a lovely piece of cast iron work. A lacy. Open patterned, three(3) tiered plant stand, from the early part of the nineteenth century. This piece is very heavy for it's size, which is a good indication of it's age, as later pieces were made more budget conscience and are therefore much lighter. I would like to be able to attribute this piece definitively to Coalbrookdale Iron Works from England. They have been attributed to the start of the Industrial Revolution, with their mastery in ironwork production. During the Victorian Era, they were the elite producers of cast iron furniture and outdoor accessories. This piece is very much in their style and because it has been painted, I cannot find a mark. This piece is amazing. Measures 25 1/2" tall x 9" wide. Would be great addition to any shabby chic home decor! Has varnish loss and scuffs and scratches, one hook is broke, easy to replace if need be. All hardware will be removed and screws will be put back into there original holes, legs removed as well. About 11" in diameter and has surface rust. It is stamped on the bottom"Rembrandt R-7093 Patent App For. The stand is about 23 1/2" high measured to the top of the marble. It is about 32" high measured to he top of the finial. The finial is about 7 1/2" high. There is some wear to the paint on the finial. The round marble top is about 10" in diameter. The marble is 1" thick and in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. Including the cast iron trim, the top is about 12" in diameter and stamped"Rembrandt Patent App For R-7602. Antique round oversized cast iron hat coat rack This is a really impressive oversized metal coatrack. It is about 6' high and the top"rack" part is about 3' in diameter. Presently painted greent. It is on casters and there is a nice leaf pattern on the legs. It is solid and quite heavy. But does come apart in two pieces. A few coat hooks are missing. This would make a great coatrack for a restaurant or a display piece for a store. It would also be a great way to display a hat collection if you had the room in your home. Really worth a look!
