This is a gorgeous antique wall shelf. Which I believe is made of oak. It is known as a pot rack. It was typically used in the kitchen for copper pots/pans hanging on eleven lower pegs and other dishes etc. on the top. It has a groove along the entire length to stand plates up on end. This is a beautiful french antique. Solid oak, wall coat rack and umbrella stand with matching lion head ornaments. Also included is a tapestry. Rug. The coat rack and umbrella stand are of solid oak wood and have been cleaned and polished and are ready to use. The original use of this“coat rack” was to use in the kitchen and hang pots and pans from. Usually lovely copper ones, and on the top a beautiful serving plate for example would be displayed. Which would sit safely thanks to the dubble hollowed out groove's on top of the shelf. The coat rack is in great condition. No damage at all. It has 6 brass. Lion heads with dubble hooks giving you plenty of space to hang your coats. It's a nice warm mid color oak. There is included a tapestry. Vintage Antique Oak Wall Shelf Coat Hat Rack & Bookshelf
Beautiful light oak vintage shelf with plate rack. Five decorative brass dutch hooks. Not ornate. But its classic look is really nice. Measures 36 in wide x 8.50 tall and shelf is 8.75 wide. Really nice condition. Just a few scratches on top. I had at least 12 in my last home and with new open concept homes I just don't have the wall space. This was bought at antique auction over 25 years ago. I don't know the exact age.
