For your consideration we are offering this outstanding cast iron and nickel plated steel revolving coat rack circa 1930s. Overall this piece measures in at 75"H. The heavy black cast iron base is 16"D. Condition is vintage excellent as shown(please view all photos, the pics are equal to my written description) Item is structurally rock solid, the top portion revolves/ turns without issue. The nickel plate shows so areas of wear consistent with age/ use but presents very nicely as shown. The heavy cast iron base still has it's original black paint. It's made of heavy duty cast iron and oak wood. It's adjustable from about 3 ft inches Tall up to 4 ft 7 inches Tall. The wood platform or book rest tilts and swivels. It measures 20 inches Wide X 14 inches High X 2 inches Deep. The tripod base measures about 13 inches. It breaks down into 4 parts for easy shipping. Here is a vintage 1930's Hat/Coat rack designed by Emil J. Paidar. The metal tag located midway down the heavy center pole reads"Chrometube by Paidar. New York, Chicago" The chrome on this piece shows obvious rust that will probably not not polish away and will need to be restored but there are practically no dings or dents and no missing pieces. The only damage of that sort I can find is on the edge of the umbrella stand top portion located at the weighted base. It has a few small dents in the edges. The overall height to the top of the hooks is 70 inches and the piece is quite heavy weighing at least 30 pounds. I am offering local pick only in this listing however I can travel a modest distance.
