Very nice with very clean brass that is 31 inches tall and 13 inches wide and in great shape very ornate brass and nothing to do but place it in you home. Legs and top piece are screwed to center bar. 30" H x 14.5" top.Stand may have come with a family immigrating from Germany ca.1870. Good estate condition. Still sturdy with nothing broken. Top piece of wood had knot hole in bottom with solid scar showing on the top. Top has water stain, some discoloration in the varnish and scratches. These are minimized by polishing but top and/or stand may need refinishing. Three legs have lots of scratches and several shallow nicks on the edges that can be sanded down. This auction is for a classic Solid Mahogany Planter Plant Stand from England. It also makes a Wonderful Candle Stand! This is a very nice and unique planter. It has been in our home for around 10 years. I bought it at an auction with the intent of selling it right away. But my wife took possesion of it from me. Now, 10 years later, she put a mahogany drying rack in it's place and told me I could list it now. When you look at it, it appears to be oak. The color is a dark honey oak, but it is indeed mahogany. It has a shelf near the base which held a ironstone biscuit jar for 10 years. It's very well made and it is in very good overall condition. It would add intrest& charm to any room, foyer or hall in your home. I would guess it was made in the early 30's. Marble insert with orante framed border is 13 1/2" length and width. Legs are curved out with light pattern, dolphin head feet. Really quite a nice example! I have estimated shipping and handling. Carved Wooden Pedestal This is a vintage wooden pedestal or stand. This piece has a striking apperance. And would demand attention in any room it adorned. It is a large, decorative stand, possibly for a plant or vase. The stand appears to be made of mahogany, but I am unable to say for certain. It features an ornate, hand-carved series of designs. Three feet support the base and center post. A crown rests in the center of the base. Vertical lines run up the main post, stopping at a wonderful carved rope design, just below the main platform. The platform features a leaf design and has a decorative beaded edge. The underside of the platform features a floral pattern. There is a sticker on the bottom of the stand that reads"made in Indonesia" The stand has the following measurements: Height: 57 1/4" Width at Widest Point(tripod ... morebase) 19 1/2" Depth: 19 1/2" Diameter of the platform base: 10 3/4" Diameter of the platform top: 8 1/4" This is in great condition overall with only light signs of age or use. There is on spot on one of the supporting feet that appears to have been repaired at some point during production. There is a similar spot on the base of the stand. I noticed a crack on the decorative crown in the center of the tripod base. Which in no way affects the integrity of the wood. There is one large chip in the wood on one of the feet, which is not visible when the stand is upright. There may be small scratches or spots of wear, but I see nothing of else significance to report. Please see pictures for more details, and please ask questions if you have them. ~ A Beautiful Vintage Art Deco Style Brass. Copper& Wrought Iron Fern Stand or Planter ~ Standing 33" Tall with a Copper Bowl that is 12 1/2" round across the top rim. Base stand measures 9 1/4" across. The base of the stand is very ornate and has the Art Deco Design. The Brass pole has a ribbed pattern. The three parts that hold the Copper Bowl are Wrought Iron. One of these appears to be a bit off, so the bowl sits slightly off center. This can probably be repaired by an expert. The pole has as a small indentation at the bottom, that is barely noticeable. With a beautiful fern in the stand these slight imperfections would not show. The inside of the copper bowl has a beautiful patina. The stand is very heavy. Grotesque Antique Oak Fern Plant Stand Heavy Carving After Horner Gargoyle
We are pleased to offer this antique plant stand for auction. This heavily carved oak stand measures 29 ½ inches tall and is 12 x 12 inches at the base. Heavy and solid. This antique features heavily craved grotesque animal figure with ornate decorative trim in the center. Near the base the figure has acanthus leaves as feet which really add a nice touch in my opinion. This piece retains the original surface with a nice warm patina. The top has a few small paint specks and also an age crack or two. We have pointed these cracks out for accuracy. It's time to bring all houseplants in for the winter and this antique mission style plant stand will display your botanicals beautifully. The stand itself is constructed of oak and is in very good antique condition save for a few age appropriate marks on it- there is one small splash of paint near the top on one leg. The original splint basket does have a few splits in it but is not compromised in durability from these flaws. There is a small section of the top exterior rim missing. There is one ball foot missing from the underside of the basket but it doesn't seem to affect the stability as it sits in the stand. The stand measures 27" tall and about 13 1/2" wide at the outside edge of the legs. It is beautifully detailed with a fluted column pedestal. It is nice and sturdy weighing over 11 pounds and is in really nice condition. There are no chips or cracks and the finish is very nice. You can see the seams where the wood is joined together on the pedestal. There are some small dark spots on the top shelf and it is slightly warped as you can see in the photos which is quite typical on these older stands and does not detract form the appeal or function of this nice piece. Great looking garden or from stand table measures about 17.5 inches tall by 10 inches by 10 inches this is not a reproduction a recently manufactured piece it is between 75 125 years old it has 1 screw that has been replaced as seen in the pic is a philips head the rest of them are straight slotted it appears to be bronze all over it does have some green oxidation from being outside in the weather or wet it also has a few paint what is on the top it is an as found condition very good condition but it is a bit weathered.
