Antique plant stand. May be cast bronze or cast iron. And is gilded in gold. Quite heavy. And bolted together with(some) non-original hardware- screws, etc. In great shape. And probably dates between the 1890's and early 1900's. 8" by 8" marble surface on the top. And a smaller marble piece set at a 45 degree angle to the top, as the bottom shelf. 15" by 15" at its widest point on the legs. and 31" high. Great original condition, with no bends, fractures and most of the original finish looks great, though there is certainly some patina from a century of ownership. Would look beautiful with a fern or some other type of potted plant on top. Marble is original from what I can tell. But of course it would be extremely easy to replace with new pieces, if desired. It has figural busts at all four corners along with paw feet and each shelf has a beautiful design with cherub heads on all four sides. It has a wonderful look and is exceptionally well cared. The pedestal measures 36 inches tall with about a 14 inch base and the top is 13 inches across and weighs 13 pounds. The over all condition is very good with some minor expected wear from age and use. The finish has some expected light crazing, which actually gives it a nice look. ANTIQUE EUROPEAN ART NOUVEAU HAND FAUX GRAIN PANTED LARGE SCALE HALL TREE
This is an amazing Antique European Large Scale Hand Faux Wood Grain and Paint Decorated Hall Tree. This is a large piece. Measuring approximately 82" tall by 69" wide, the center one door, one drawer cabinet protrudes about 17" This hall tree retains much of its original paint decoration. The entire piece is faux grain painted and the bottom panels have graceful hand painted Art Nouveau Floral Designs. The piece retains most of what appears to be its original hardware which includes eight hooks on the top. Two turnstile type metal holders for canes or umbrellas, and two removable drip pans at the bottom. There is a"basket" which extends along the top of the piece which is comprised of a yarn like knotted mesh. this may have originally been comprised of a metal type mesh basket, however, it is functional for holding ... morehats, etc. There is one center mirror which looks like the original, which is flanked by two"cut out" areas, these don't appear to have held mirrors originally, but look as if they were made and finished to be"see through" panels. We believe this piece to date to the early 1900's. There is some lettering on the metal turnstile hardware which appears to be German. Condition is good with wear expected and commensurate with vintage pieces. The hall tree has a time worn. Distressed patina, the paint is worn and faded throughout, there are scratches and dings to the painted surface. The hardware is in very good condition, the turnstile hardware is functional both forward and backward. The removable drip panels show signs of use and some surface rust. The very top of the piece, along the top edge, about 2 to 3" is not painted the same as the rest of the piece. There is a crack in the opening side of the door to the protruding cupboard and some ink staining inside the drawer. The top surface of the cabinet shows signs of wear, with the surface paint worn and scratched, with an overall used surface area.There are some cracks in the wood on the upper ri

Beveled glass was not only used for beauty, it is the strength it gives the glass. Small bead work frames the glass. Spindles surround the half moon shelf. The legs rise in goose neck fashion to acanthus leaves. Five small pieces of scroll work came off and were kept with the piece for repair. Arts& Crafts Nouveau Hall Umbrella Stand Hand Crafted Solid Wood MLB initialed Umbrella Stand in a lovely Arts& Crafts/ Art Nouveau design. This is a hard wood that looks to be hand crafted. The initials also suggests a hand made piece. It is very sturdy an you can see the small brass screws that affix the sides together. The carving is wonderful with lovely Art Nouveau floral images first carved and then hand painted into the carved groves. Most of the paint remains. There are some spots that need a little stain. But basically this is in excellent vintage condition. Dimensions = 10" on each side. 29" tall. Serious downsizing means that this and many other wonderful items must go so check out my other auctions for outstanding buys. Unique Oak Hall Tree Art Deco Nouveau -
For sale is a stunning. Antique, oak hall coat and umbrella tree/stand with an oval beveled mirror. It has some very unique features, and would make a great statement piece for the entrance of any home. The oak is beautiful, and the early art deco design(or possibly transitional art nouveau) is hand carved. Additionally, there are 4 coat hooks which have the face of a bearded man(the top 2 were taken off but are still with the item- see photos) It has one drawer with a white marble shelf on top. The top has 2 metal bars with 4 small decorative hooks. At the bottom on both sides it is lined with metal for the umbrellas. I was told by the previous owner that the piece was brought over from Germany. Great looking garden or from stand table measures about 17.5 inches tall by 10 inches by 10 inches this is not a reproduction a recently manufactured piece it is between 75 125 years old it has 1 screw that has been replaced as seen in the pic is a philips head the rest of them are straight slotted it appears to be bronze all over it does have some green oxidation from being outside in the weather or wet it also has a few paint what is on the top it is an as found condition very good condition but it is a bit weathered. Rare and unusual standing owl carved oak umbrella stand from the 1890's. Measures 31-1/2" tall. Excellent original finish with no breaks or repairs. This wonderful Art Nouveau stand has been in my home for 20+ years and is now for sale as I prepare to move and downsize. I have never seen another and it has been very well cared for.
