Dating from the 1890s, this great piece features an oak lift seat, bevel glass mirror, ... moreand shapely cast metal hooks, in a dark oak stain. This hall tree was refinished by the previous owner, and they did a really nice job. They strengthened the back of the mirror with support sticks as shown in the photos, too. It is tight and sturdy, scroll front legs, lift top seat, applied carving on the base and shapely mirror top. The overall size is 36 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 29 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 17 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, 28 inches high to the arms and the overall height is 84 inches. But i am not sure, could be the ... moreearly 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern above the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. For sale is an antique stick/umbrella stand. Which I believe is oak and English-made. The stand has bobbin-turned legs and hand carving on the top and bottom rails. There is a brass handle on the top center rail, with its original dark patina. The drip pan appears to be made of galvanized metal- I don't know if that is the original drip pan. Measurements: 27" high 24" long 11" deep My home and I are non-smoking. More photos are available upon request.
