This coat tree is very old and in very nice. Vintage condition with its original finish. As you can see in the pics it disassembles into 2 pieces very easily and the legs unscrew. There is no damage anywhere. I would guess it's oak but I'm not sure. It would be gorgeous refinished although it looks very nice as it is. You can see it's wonderful condition in the pics. Large, antique, early 1900s, bentwood hall tree that stands approximately 81" tall- 6ft, 9" Not sure what the wood is. But it's dark. I could not find a maker's name. But appears to be a THONET piece of furniture. It's put together with large screws that you can see on the outside. And what appear to be wooden plugs on the inside of the curved legs. I'm pretty sure the top finial has been replaced at some time. As it is not attached and just sits in the hole. It is a very good match to the rest of the piece. The very bottom finial has what looks to be a stress crack. And two of the legs are coming away from the center post. These two legs are across from each other and must be one piece of ... morewood- move one and the other one moves too. Not sure why they have seperated as the screws are tight. One of the small balls around the top has been replaced as it is perfectly round. Where they other ones have a flat bottom, and it also looks black. It's screwed in and could be replaced if wanted. In a nice large size, as there are 6 swivel hooks mounted onto the wooden frame, see picts. Most of the ones that I found online only had 4 hooks, so this is a great large size, see picts. In addition, these hooks are all Double Hooks, with a smaller hook on the bottom, and the longer hook on the top, see picts. Enough hooks to hang 12 items, 2 items on each of 6 hooks, WOW! The rack has a wooden bar on the top and bottom connected by thin support bars. And the swivel hooks, see picts. Two of the connecting thin support bars extend above the top of the wooden frame, and are bent into hanging rings, so that this piece can be hung on your wall, see picts. The wood and the hooks have what appears to be the original paint, a deep brown color. The metal hooks have some original paint, but much has worn of from use over the years, see picts. This hanging Coat and Hat rack measures approx. 33 1/2 inches by 4 inches. Not counting the hanging rings. If I include the hanging rings it is approx. 5 1/2 inches tall. Get ready for winter with this brass coat rack. It's 68" tall in the center, the top of the arms are 70" tall. The tops are 18 1/2" across. The base is 23" X 23" Each foot has a screw adjuster for leveling. No dents or bent pieces, the brass shows its age but it's not as tarnished as others this old. I think most of the dark patina could be removed. One ball on the lower section is missing(see pix) and a few of the cap nuts have been replaced. For shipping it will be partially disassembled but it is very easy to put back together.

Antique Mission Oak Arts & Crafts Hall Tree Coat / Hat Rack 72"
Offered for sale is a very nice antique mission oak Arts and Cafts era hall tree or coat rack hat stand. It is a high quality. The hooks are orignal and are wrought iron. No broken or missing hooks. It stands around 74 inches tall and makes a 18.5 inch footprint at the bottom. It weighs around 13 pounds. It is in very good conditon. Some small abrasions. Chips, etc which I have shown in the pictures. There is some white paint rub on the top point, which should come of easily with some extra fine steel wool. In order to keep shipping costs dowm. the base will be disassembled from the pole. I will also remove the hooks as antique wrought iron tends to be brittle and removing the hooks will lessen the possiblity of breakage during shipment. As you can see in the pictures. The base is attached to the vertical pole with screws, so it should disassemble ... moreeasily. I will ship in two boxes-one box for the pole and the other box for the base, hardware, and hooks.
