Rare Nichel Plated Umbrella Window Display Stand to be from Macy's? years ago
Here is a very very rare very heavy nickel plated window umbrella display. Was told by 90 year old gentleman that it was believed to have been a window display at Macy's somewhere between 1910 and 1930. It is made by M.J. Ades& Co. Baltimore. The Winner Umbrella. There may be a date on the bottom. I can't see real well but there is either a date or a number. This display will hold up to 15 umbrellas. It is 16 1/2" long by 4 1/2" in the middle. Fancy legs are 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. I hate to keep repeating this but this may be one of the rarest pieces of this kind every sold on here. Once again it is museum quality and came from a very high end private collector.
