Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree With Storage Bench & Beveled Mirror & Butterfly Hook
For your consideration is this Very Nice Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree. I have been told it dates back to the late 1800s. But i am not sure, could be the early 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern ... moreabove the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. Antique Oak Hall Tree w. Beveled Mirror, circa 1900
This is a very unusual hall tree. I have never seen one quite like it. There are flat grooved columns on each side with hooks at top, they are connected to back with a shelf. Applied carving adorns the crest with hook on each side. Instead of the typical lift up lid there is a large drawer at the bottom w. brass handle pull. on the left side behind column is an umbrella holder with original drip pan. The shaped beveled mirror is original, hence there are a few spots and streaks, but doesn't detract from the looks. Total width, including umbrella holder, is 39" depth is 18" height is 80-1/2" We have not refinished this hall tree, the finish appears to be original and is quite good, the piece is structurally strong as well. Circa 1910 Antique Golden Oak Wood Frame Beveled Glass Hall Mirror w Hooks
This golden oak hall mirror is in very good condition.It has its original bevel glass mirror and hooks. It has a dark oxidized finish that can be lightened up by removing the old finish with varnish remover. The bottom piece of wood looks to have been added to the frame many years ago. The stain/finish on that piece of wood is more reddish in color. The wood can be removed or can be stripped and stain with a dark brown stain. I have no doubt that this mirror was once the top part of a hall seat. It was removed and hung on the wall as a decorative and functional piece of furniture. The frame measures 28" tall x 24" wide. antique country hallway mirror w/coat hooks golden oak farmhouse 1920s beveled
For bid is an antique mirror(1920s) that hung in the same farmhouse for about 90 years. I don't know the exact year of this mirror but my mother remembers it hanging in her parents old farmhouse hallway when she was a young girl. She is now 82 years old. It has 4 coat hooks and it appears to have been revarnished/stained at some point. The mirror which is hard to see in the pictures is in very nice condition and beveled on the edge where it sets in the wood frame. It is held in by a backing board and a number of nails.
