Measures about 28" tall and 13 3/8" square. ... moreI am uncertain as to the origin or age of this stand but believe it might be earlier 1900's. Stand is in very nice shape but does show normal age appropriate wear- some scuffs/scratches in the finish, one area(shown in pic) on one leg where the finish has been scratched, and it does appear that a repair has been made on one of the top pieces(shown in last picture) Originally thought it was a scratch until further inspection- honestly don't think it is noticable. The rest appears to be all original finish, and worn areas can be seen in the finish especially on the top. This stand has 4'sections' in it. Each of the four legs are surrounded with brass coverings. Canes shown for display only and are not included. I believe there would have originally been a drip tray with this but is missing. It stands 32” tall overall and is 11” square. There are no marks identifying the manufacturer. It shows a little wear to its finish as it has been used for its intended purpose. The finish appears original and in very good condition. The bottom has a hole where a copper tray sat but is now missing and the screws holding the bottom in place are replacements that are doing just fine. Arts and crafts mission quarter sawn oak umbrella stand. Condition for its age is fair to good. It appears the bottom wood is newer. And has been braced for extra support. There is a bit of paint residue to the underside which is curious, as the piece appears to have its original finish. There are some wood separations along the joints. The joints have original slats. But also some extra screws here and there.The bottoms have some footings, and some wear down to the wood as shown. Still a great piece for decor, but we want to mention the supports. There is a little wiggle in the stand and it could use some glue in the joints. The original copper pan in the bottom has some dents and wear from a century of use. Old Mission Style Hall Tree/ Coat Tree/ Umbrella Stand Oak Up for auction is a lovely old hall tree. The wood is oak. It has 2 umbrella holders. 6 hooks, one enclosed cabinet, and a shelf. I am not sure if the backboard(thinner) wood is oak. The dimensions are: 70" tall 27" wide 11" deep 7" wide umbrella opening. 6" wide at the bottom. The oak framework pieces for the umbrella section are 1 1/4" wide on top, and 2 1/4" wide at the bottom. The short shelf is 11" long x 3" deep Enclosed cabinet is 25" tall x 10" wide x 10" deep Small head nails used throughout. Please note: I do not think that the hooks are original to the piece. And multiple holes have been drilled over the years. The diamond shaped area was for a mirror, but I do not have the mirror. There are 8 original holes to ... morehold the mirror. There are 5 additional holes drilled into the backboard area that are not original. The enclosed cabinet has one shelf but only has only one support piece so the shelf is not installed. This beautiful hall tree has been in one family for the last 30 years. At 24" wide. And 74" tall, it is narrow and perfect for just the right spot. Classic Mission style, or Stickley"like" but has no markings or manufacturer information. The mirror is in great condition, there is a cubby with hinged lid for keys, shoehorns, hatpins, etc. Originally there were six had hooks, but the current owner preferred using just four.
