It stands 32” tall overall and is 11” square. There are no marks identifying the manufacturer. It shows a little wear to its finish as it has been used for its intended purpose. The finish appears original and in very good condition. The bottom has a hole where a copper tray sat but is now missing and the screws holding the bottom in place are replacements that are doing just fine. Up for auction is this fantastic umbrella stand. It is made of a pottery with a majolica green glaze on top. The only marking is the number 61 on the bottom. I am not sure it was made by Weller. Roseville, McCoy or who. The piece is done in a greens and has a cathedral window design in the middle. The umbrella stand measures 23" tall and is about 10" in diameter. It is in great condition with the only damage that I can see being a small chip on the inside top of the stand(see picture) This is a gorgeous piece that should not be overlooked. These large pieces do not come to market that often and when they do they are usually pretty damaged. Antique White Wicker and Wire Umbrella Stand or trash bin, about 13"x9"
An antique white wicker and wire umbrella stand in a vase shape. Or. It's a tallish waste paper bin. I have used this as an umbrella holder. It worked fine being sufficiently tall but. Were I writing the great novel on an old fashioned typewriter, this could be used for waste paper. The sides are of brass painted white and the bottom of the stand is wicker. This umbrella stand is somewhat diminutive and has lovely turn of the century style. It is in very nice vintage condition with old white paint in a matte(not shiny) finish. The old paint is slightly worn in spots showing the brass wire of the sides of the stand. There is a break in the wicker bottom of the stand; please see photos 4.5, and 6. It stands about 13 inches tall and has a diameter of about 9 inches. This is an unusual accessory piece for a room or patio furnished in white ... morewicker or to compliment Victorian decor. Antique furniture UMBRELLA STAND Unusual - Beautifully made - Inlaid Wood
This unusual piece of furniture is 8 3/4" square and 13" high. It looks like more than one kind of wood was used to construct it. The front has an inlaid design that gives it a very colonial look. The outer area around the inlay work shows some shellac/varnish loss. The rest of the wood looks great. The inside is lined with metal- maybe tin. The metal shows some rust issues.There is a small hole in the bottom(see pic) The piece itself is very solid all the way. I gave it a cursory dusting but I notice the pics show dust in the lower corners- and legs- it is just light dust you see and will easily blow right off) I am calling it an umbrella stand but it may have been made for some other use. NICE Antique Arts & Crafts Era Early 1900s Brass Umbrella Stand
NICE Antique Arts& Crafts Era Early 1900s Brass Umbrella Stand I want to wish a happy holidays to all my wonderful customers. I am listing light this week. But will have lookouts of new items next week. I went to a local small flea market and focused on finding lots of unique items for you- it was a success! Here is a fabulous early 1900's oh-so-arts-and-crafts brass umbrella stand for you. Don't you love the simplicity of the design? It's a relief lined pattern that makes simple boxes. And the stand measures 18 3/8" tall, 8 5/8" diameter across the top, 8 1/4" diameter across the bottom, with an inside opening of 6 1/4" It weighs just under 2 1/2 lbs. The stand is solid brass except the bottom, which is tin. I'm showing the inside of the base in photos 8& 9 where you can see surface rust- it's ... moresurface only, with no holes or eat throughs- no light shining through at all when held up to the light. You can see the rust(a little thicker, but still on the surface only) on the perimeter of the outside bottom only- as I'm showing in photos 10& 11. On the underside, you can see the solder that connects the bottom to the sides, the light surface rust on the perimeter, and even some glorious green oxidation from the brass. The stand is in excellent solid, sturdy and usable condition. Totally structurally sound and displaying beautifully. I had to look really really hard to find a couple of very very light and small impressions- not even large enough to call dings- that's it. The patina is dark and yummy from age. It's dusty/dirty and could use a good bath. I have not cleaned it, or done anything to mess with the as found patina in any way. Love it and use it! Please ask if you have any questions. There is a little wiggle in the stand and it could use some glue in the joints. The original copper pan in the bottom has some dents and wear from a century of use. Umbrella opening is 7" in diameter. This has not been polished in a long time. And shows signs of oxidation from age. It can be left as is for the aged vintage look, or would be wonderful restored, with a little elbow grease. The copper is more evident under the top rim of the umbrella holder and all over when in sunlight or under certain lighting. Age has given it a more brassy look all over. Age and oxidation has also created a slight blue color around edges of the lion heads- just adding to the beauty and charm of this vintage stand.
