1930's Industrial Office Valet Coat/Hat/Umbrella Rack Metal Vintage
This is the original one in good condition with some scratches and paint wear. It is sound and solid. Signed Office Valet Manufacturer Vogel Peterson Chicago. Last patent date of 2107640 which is early 1938. Color is a brown. It is a little over 76" tall with the top storage part being 24" wide with the shelves themselves being 10 1/2" deep. Base is 29 1/2" wide by 16" deep and has 4 holes in it for putting umbrellas or canes and 6 slots in the lower upper rack for hangers. It weighs over 30 lbs before packing and will need shipped in 3 large boxes after I disassemble it. The top shelf part and also the lower base are all welded construction so they both need huge boxes to ship which incurs dimensional weight. The pole removes from them but that is 75" long before packing so it too incurs a dimensional weight ... morecharge plus a $10 overlength charge since it is over 60" long. Thank you for looking. This is a beautiful old piece it is 13 inches round and when the arms are open it is 24 inches wide. It has delicate needlepoint in the center some of which is missing however it still has the beautiful flowers which are in pink. Green and blue. I purchased this at an estate auction in southwest pennsylvania. It truly is a charming piece of history. I am unsure of its age or its origin however, I had an antique expert look at it and she said that it is old however she hasn't seen anyting quite like it. This solid brass Victorian coat/hat tree/stand is in the original found condition. It appears to have the original finish which is in excellent condition. The stand has no known breaks. Repairs, missing parts or other damage. Early Vtg. Antique-Primitive Bent Wood - Coat-Hat-Clothes Rack- Wall Mount
Offered is a wonderful Primitive Wood Rack for wall mounting- The peice looks quite old and I would think its antique based on its style but definately Old Vintage. Its a rack for Hats. Coats or Clothing and has 4 bent wood arms with elongated knobs at ends that look like a barrel shape and the tops are pointed, theres 2 back rails and each end has 2 wood support dowels. It has a wonderful shape and style of old primitive wood working. The wood shows normal signs of age to its finish, some knicks, scuffs, and scratches but nothing major. The upper back rail has two holes where screws go through to mount it and I see theres a metal groumet in one and the other is missing and the last photo shows one arm that has a hairline crack or split but the arm seems nice and sturdy. It measures 19 1/8" long, the arms are 6 1/2" tall from point ... moreto knobs and they would stick out off the wall approx. 4" when mounted. Beautiful Primitive Vintage Expandable Wood Coat Rack Hat Rack Wall Mount I am still listing new items from Indiana. And have a boatload of new things from the flea market too. Lots of primitive antiques, farm finds, folk art, and the usual wacky Maureen stuff- you don’t want to miss this week! Here is a wonderful old expandable wall mount wood coat or hat rack- you can make it the size that you need; pulled all the way out. It's 50" wide, but that's pulled out so far that the hanging arms come together- the widest I think you could use it would be 47" long. Folded up all the way, as in photo 7, it is in photo 7, it is 4" wide, and, in this position, it is 18" tall but, the more you expand it, the shorter it gets. There are 10 matching turned wood arms/straight hooks, each measuring 2 3/4" tall measuring from ... morewhere they go into the frame, to 7/8" at their widest. The piece has three screw mounting holes, and I'm pointing to them in photos 9& 10. That would be the top, I'm guessing, and there are no other screw mounting holes that I see. At the back, you can see round tin"caps" for lack of a better word, that cover where the arms are attached- one of the tin caps is missing- it's the last one on the right in photo 13- but you wouldn't know it unless you are looking at the piece from the back- it also doesn't affect the sturdiness of the piece- it's in excellent solid and sturdy condition. There's wear to the finish that is minor- scratches, scrapes, nicks, cracks that do not affect the structure, and dings- but nothing that you wouldn't expect from an oldee like this. You can see remnants of white paint from the wall that is was attached to at the screw mount holes- on the back only in large spots, with some teeeenie spots of it on the front body, and you can see hand writing in pencil dirtectly above these at the back- numbers, or fractions, I can't tell what they are meant to say. This is an antique coat. Glove and hat rack. I believe it is from the early 1900s. It is approximately 32" wide, 20" high and 9" deep. I think that the wood is oak. It is in good condition for its age. The metal brackets are intact and have just a little surface rust. The mirror is foggy due to age and the material that it is made of. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE WOOD HAT/COAT RACK WITH PORCELAIN ENDS 10 PEGS WITH METAL BACKS
This is an antique or vintage coat or hat rack. It is made of wood and has 4 ridges on the front wood slats. It has 10 wooden turned pegs that have a porcelain tip on the end of each peg. And on the back of each peg there is a round metal circle with a flower design. One metal circle is missing.so when you open it it will come off the peg. If you are handy you can make a small metal end or even use a metal bottle top to fix it. One other metal has been replaced by a piece of metal that someone made. It does feel weak to me, but I didn't mess with it just in case you wanted to do it yourself. The varnish is rough and mostly gone. The porcelain ends all seem secure, but need a good cleaning. I see where one wooden slat has a slight split in it and another one has a few small holes in it. There are 4 holes for hanging. Someone put an eye ... morehook in the back.probably for hanging.because there is a small hole where an eyehook probably was and is now missing. It measures 18 inches long and 4 inches wide when it is closed up, and 46 inches long and 7 inches wide when it is stretched open. USS OLYMPIA EMBOSSED TIN WALL MIRROR HAT RACK
A USS Olympia historian identified this piece as memorabilia from the early part of the century. The four corners are embossed with the following: bottom corner is the USS Olympia. The top is Uncle Sam with the words Our Nation's Pride, left corner is a sailor, and the right a soldier which I believe is Teddy Roosevelt. It measures 18 1/4 by 18 1/4, and has a wooden back which the tin is attached. There is a place for three ornate hooks, but one missing, the mirror has a small chip but I believe this is a replacement and not the original. There should be four clips that hold the mirror in place, but there are only two. There is some worn spots on the copper finish, but considering it's age, I think it is in good condition.
