This stand/table is in the Art Deco design and is probably from about 1925-1950. It is cast iron painted in a good condition silver color paint. It is in the original found condition with no noted repairs. Breaks or missing parts. The paint and stand is in very good condition with wear appropriate and consistent with the age and use. The glass is in fine condition also with no known cracks, chips or damage. It has a gold painted, etched, floral design with a lot of the original paint present(please see picture 7) There is a nice Art Deco designed finial on the stretcher portion between the designed legs. FANTASTIC HIGH END ANTIQUE ART DECO 3 DRAWER STAND HALLTREE
For sale is this fantastic antique art deco style 3 drawer stand. However I believe it is some sort of hall tree. Has a lip on the top in the back and I see some screw holes n the back. Looks like a high end piece that could have possibly been made in France or some other European nation but dont know for sure. Stand measures 57" long by 26" tall by 17" wide. Not sure who the maker is but it does have some sort of tag on the back. I think the wood is crotch mahogany with a burl or possibly tiger maple. Maybe both. Not 100% on that. Has a fantastic look the way the veneer on the drawers matches. Very difficult to do, and as you can see the top is splined together Does have some minor scuffs and faint scratches. Rare Antique Hat Rack Millinery Coat Vintage Heavy Aluminum Art Deco Mid century
Gorgeous and in excellent condition for its age. Has a heavy solid aluminum base(easy to polish) and the upper part is probably painted steel. I purchased this from former antique dealers on Lake Michigan who told me it came from an old. Old department store and is from the 1940's. I was going to hack saw the threaded post off at the top and put a finial on it(I will include the finial with the sale if you want it) Or maybe a rod to cover it and a finial will work too. I just used it as-is and it never bothered me, but for aesthetics maybe someone wants to not have the threaded post sticking out. Could use another coat of silver paint, as there is some oxidation here and there. It stands 6'6" to the uppermost hat holder. It is about 24" wide. It is strong enough to hold heavier items.
