This elegant powder jar has a tapered panel cut glass body topped by a sterling silver domed lid. The center of the lid is monogrammed“FMc” in elaborate script. To the very edge if the rim is stamped“STERLING” The lid’s interior is gold washed. Please see photos. The powder jar measures 4 ¼” tall(to top of domed lid) X 2 ¼” bottom diameter) The jar is in very good used antique condition. With one small chip to the bottom rim, and roughness and discoloration to the hand ground neck(which appears to have had a cork or fabric strip surrounding the outside) This strip would have held the lid tightly. This piece is exquisite, with the muted, subtle iridescence that is only seen in older, top quality glass. This beautiful powder jar has lovely purple, green and white enamel accents, with a bouquet of violets on the lid. I know it sounds stupid, but it is truly humbling to handle this old piece. This piece measures 2" high to the top of the cover and it is 1 3/4" in diameter. The cover shows five angels in the clouds. The glass is a cane pattern. The condition of this piece is very good however there are a few minor dents in the silver around the edge and a very tiny imperfection in the glass at the top of the rim. Description: A beautiful cobalt blue dress powder box. Hand painted with gold as well as other colors and an amazing star or flower on top. Let the light show through the blue. It is spectacular. Age: I am not sure, but, I would guess in the late 1800's. Condition: The piece is in very good condition. There is some wear and tear do to age. The brass is darkened in a few places and the gold is a little worn in places, but overall it is a beautiful piece. Size: The piece is 4 1/2" tap and 4" in diameter. Antique Early 1900's Cut Glass Powder Or Dresser Jar With Brass & Cloisonne Lid
The jar has no makers names or marks. There is a 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch chip on one of the feet and some smaller chips on the feet. The brass lid has a small dent. The enamel on the cloisonne lid is in good condition and I do think it is original because it fits so well. The jar is 4 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Satisfaction is guaranteed and if there is a problem just let me know and I'll take care of it. I do not end my auctions early so please don't ask also don't ask me to. Beautiful Antique Art Glass Enameled Bristol Ecru Glass Dresser Jar Box
This beautiful Bristol Glass Ecru Colored Dresser Box measures about 7.75" tall and about 3-3/8" in diameter. It does have some small chips to the inner rim of the lid and jar. The enamel loss and the substantial wear to the base shaw the age of this piece and that it was used. I dated this piece to the early twentieth but it could be a bit earlier.

Vtg Antique Victorian Bulbous Cut Glass Vanity Dresser Jar Wooden Lid Powder
This very refined Victorian Jar has been in our family for decades ~ my Mother kept pine needles and dried violets in it. And, what a treat it was to join her at her vanity dresser and be allowed to remove the lid, and smell the garden inside. Jar measures 3-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall. As you can see the wooden lid(appears to be walnut) has wee wormholes. Which was not unusual on antiques this old. Inside the lid. Appears to be a final coating? paper mache? The design in the glass is remarkable ~ a stripe of dual large circles. Then a stripe of a trio of jagged edge(sawtooth) And the creme de creme is the large flora design on the bottom. Superb glass work. Jar is sturdy. Strong, heavy(weighs 3/4 of a pound) Other than the charming wormholes in the lid. Condition is Excellent. A joy to see. And a joy to handle. Antique Green Opaline Glass Dresser Jar(B) FAB Opalino Opal Bristol. This gorgeous. Mouth blown, antique dresser jar dates from between the last quarter of the 19th Century and the first half of the 20th Century. I don't know the shapes well enough to pinpoint it better, but I don't believe it is any older. It is made of opaline glass, in a scarce green color. It could have been made in France, or Bohemia. The glass is too thick and substantial to be English Bristol glass. It stands 4.25" tall(2.25" to the rim) and is 3.75" in diameter at the widest. It is elegantly simple with only gold gilding as decoration. It is in excellent condition for its age, with some fading to the decoration. There is a pontil scar on the bottom. Item Description FAST& FREE SHIPPING! Up for offer is a very detailed& gorgeous Cobalt Blue Glass Dresser or Powder Jar. This is not a small patch box ~ I would call this a"large" size jar. It has a beautiful floral enamel decoration on the lid with gold accent and beaded flower design surrounding the lid and the jar. There is a delicate painting of a plump little cherub ~ the detail is amazing! I do think that there was likely a very detailed scroll type design inside the open blue area on the lid but it is all worn away now. I say this because as you inspect it very closely you can see a few wavy lines at the very edges. There are a few very shallow marks in the glass here and there which look like tiny popped bubbles and you will see one on the lid. The jar opens and closes easily with a snap. All the hardware is secure ... moreto the jar and the hinge intact. There is light wear to the bottom underneath from moving around on surfaces. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs to the jar. It is most likely c. late 1800's and again in a very typical Czech/Bohemian style but I have also seen some Italian Glass with similar designs as well. It is 2 3/4 inches tall to the top of the domed lid and it is 4 1/2 inches across at the widest part. This is an antique Bohemian glass dresser box. This looks basically like a patch box but much larger. It is a very lovely green color and was hand enameled in a floral pattern. This was probably used for make up powder but could easily be used for jewelry or anything else really- it might be nice as a covered candy dish. This example was made in the Bohemian glass making region we now know as the Czech Republic. Though many manufacturers once existed a lot of these little boxes are attributed to the famous glass maker Moser. This measures 4 1/2" wide and 3" high. No chips or cracks. Excellent condition. Bottom is marked IDL, NY No. 3 did some research and IDL was medical supply company that did lots of various purpose glass containers in 20's and 30's. It is either unmarked or the mark has worn off but I believe it is made by Wavecrest since it matches their style and decorative painting. Any satin lining it may have had is long gone. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. It is very clean inside and out. The metal hardware is secure to the jar and the hinge works fine. It is about 2 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. This piece is done in the elegant Louis XIV pattern. Which began production in 1888. The sterling silver lid has a design of scrolls, leaves and flowers. The center of the lid is monogrammed ELM in flowing script. The glass is beautifully cut with dazzling designs. This piece is in good overall condition. The glass jar has some minor flakes to the high points of the designs. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no cracks. No breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Fabulous Bohemian Hand-Painted Dresser Jar
Gorgeous. Beautifully hand painted Bohemian dresser jar. This gorgeous pale pink glass jar is covered with enameled flowers and swirls. Stands on four brass feet, and has all brass mountings. It is 6" in diameter at its widest point, and 4 1/2" in height. C. 1900. The glass just inside the rim of the cover has thicker glass in a wavy pattern, giving it a wavy look from certain angles. The enamel is done very, very well on the top and all over the sides. I do not believe there is any missing. There are no chips, fleabites, or nicks. The four brass feet are beautifully detailed.
