MORE PHOTOS BELOW A lovely antique powder jar with sterling top. Glass body is cranberry in color. Lid has a repousse design and a monogram in the center that I believe is KLC. Underside of the lid is marked"Sterling 925/1000. Powder jar measures approx. 3.5"h x 3.5"dia. Condition: There are a few minor indents on the side of the lid. Some pinpoint spots of roughness on the rim of the glass. Probably miniscule chips mentioned for accuracy. No other chips, cracks or repairs. Age-appropriate wear on the bottom of the base. A wonderful Victorian biscuit or cookie box. Made from in elegant and highly collectible Cranberry glass graduating to clear down at the base, the underside having a star cut. The fittings and swing handle are silver plated, the underside of the lid marked EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver and the top of the lid decorated with a very pretty engraving. I am offering on Buy It Now an antique late 1800's cranberry glass biscuit jar with silver lid and handle. This jar has a 5" diameter and is made of cranberry glass with raised gold painted flowers and leaves. The attached handle and rim are silver with an intricate design. The removeable lid has a fancy finial. Inside there is a coin-shaped metal label with the manufacturer's name and USA Patented. The company is Simpson Hall Miller& Co. and it is numbered 542. The silver is in worn condition. But the glass is fine with some darkening of the gold. This is a unique piece regardless of its age-related issues. It will be well wrapped for safe shipping. Up for consideration is a lovely antique. Mary Gregory, hand-painted, Cranberry art glass powder jar in beautiful condition. This exquisite piece depicting a stag in the forest has copper metal details. It stands 2 1/2" and is 3 1/4" wide. There are no chips. Scratches or major defects. The copper hinge is partly torn on the inside of the jar.The bottom of the jar shows minor wear. Three of the decorative swirls to the right of the clasp in the middle of the jar are slightly darker than rest(see last photo) This is a piece I got from an estate in Northern California from a collector of fine glass and porcelain. CLICK on the thumbnail photos above to enlarge for better detail! Up for consideration is a beautiful Antique Cranberry Glass Gilded Trinket Box or Dresser Jar with a Stars and Stripes Decoration. This lovely box or jar measures approximately 2 1/8 inches high by about 3 inches widest point. The condition is as follows: Wear to the gilding. Tiny popped bubble to the inside rim of the lid and a tiny chip to the inside of the lid- can be felt with finger. Cannot be seen from the outside of the lid and barely seen when looking at the inside of the lid. These imperfections are mentioned for accuracy. Please look at all of the photos as they are a part of the description. I don't know the origin of this glass. But by the design it seems French to me. I have not seen anything else like it. There are no markings on it except the number"8" ... moreis painted on the inside of the top and also on the inside of the bottom piece. As you can see from the photos, the gold stars have almost completely worn off of the top but you can still see a shadow of them when you hold the glass to a certain light. A very interesting piece of cranberry glass for your collection! This is a rare and distinctive piece. So a larger than normal box will be used to further insure this rare item arrives safely. This is part of whole collection of Moser glass. I don't believe this is the original top for the jar because there are no grooves on the glass and there are grooves on the cap. The interesting thing about the Cap. It has a little knob that opens and closes holes perhaps for scent or spice. There is a dent. It measures about 4-1/2" tall, by 2-1/2" in diameter at the rim, and is in very good condition, with no cracks and some minor roughness/chipping around the interior top rim.
