Welcome! I remember seeing these in our charming. Very old high school greenhouse. This one is heavy. Hand blown and has what looks like some streaks on the edge of the bottom. That's where it was held during manufacturing. The glass has bubbles and what looks like small specks of grit. The knob on the top is hollow. It measures 6" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter at the base. I purchased these at an estate sale because I thought they were unusual and very pretty. But I don't know much about them. I've listed one here, but have 4 more available if you're interested. Measure about 9" tall without lid x 4" opening at top ad 6 1/4" in overall diameter. I don't know quite how to describe these. They are hand blown and I think etched glass- maybe end of day glass, but would welcome any information or ideas you're willing to share with me. Glass is imperfect; bubbles and imperfections. The lid pictured here is chipped. Trying to figure out which lid matched which jar is like a jigsaw puzzle! Some sit inside top of jar and some kind of perch on top. This is a beautiful blown glass container. It is a dark honey amber. It stands 14 inches tall and has a 5 1/2 inch base. Jar is in very good shape no chips or cracks, pontil mark on the bottom with some bubbling and imperfections, the lid is mold blown and has a hand ground edge and full of small bubbles it does show some ware from use through the years, it appears in the pictures to have a chip on the edge of the lid but it is an imperfection, it has been ground and not clean as a chip would appear.

Likely from the 1880's or 90's this has a tinned top with an aluminum handle at a time when aluminum was a rare and expensive metal. The decorations are in fair condition but have some wear but not bad considering the age of it. They are of cold ... morepaint and most of the gold paint is still there. They have a sort of Art Nouveau quality to them. No other issues at all. The jar is 6" high and 5" in diameter and 10" to the top of the bale handle which stays up if you want it to. FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS fatiguedfrenchfinds This is a superb antique French 19 th century large green glass mold blown pickle jar. It is very large at 29cms or 11½” tall! The top diameter is 11cms or just over 4¼” The base diameter is 13.5cms or 5¼” It weighs 1.600kgs. The glass is fabulous and full of small and larger bubbles. The jar has raised ridges horizontally at the base and near the top. In addition. There are faint vertical ridges on part of the jar, with one part being free of vertical ridges, possibly in order to place a label on the smooth surface. There is what looks like a large crack in one corner. But this is not a crack, it is a raised ridge on the inside of the jar only. There are also naturally occurring black marks in the glass, rather as if a foreign body has entered the glass when heated? There are some ... morefaint white milky marks on the inside of the jar that have been created by some liquid being left in it for a long time– these may well remove but I cannot guarantee it. It is in great condition but does have some very light chips to the very edge of the neck– nothing that spoils it. This is a really exceptional and stunning antique French jar. Antique LARGE 16'' HAND BLOWN APOTHECARY Glass JAR BOSTON SANDWICH
This is a beautiful large glass jar. I do believe it is a vintage APOTHECARY JAR as it is hand blown and has beautiful ground flares around it at the waist and lower portion of the baluster portion of the container. The large lid is also ground with flares in the glass. It stands nearly 16' tall. It could be flint as it does have a wonderful New England Sandwich Boston feel to it. I don't know enough about glass to say for sure who made it. There are a few floating bubbles within the glass with some slight wave here and there. This is truly a gorgeous piece. This is a jar that I personally purchased in Europe. I believe it is Romanian. It is a pickling jar that was hand blown. This lovely Cobalt Blue Apothecary Jar measures about 10.75" tall. it is in excellent condition. It does have some wear to the foot as pictured. Both pieces are pontiled. The bottom section is pontiled on the bottom as normal. The lid is pontiled on the interior of the lid. The jar has a beautiful Bell tone when tapped. We are unsure of age. Maker, or origination. That being said it is a fine piece of blow glass.

There is a pontil on the underside of the base with a small part of the rod still in tact. The condition is excellent. There are no chips. Cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding. I will point out that the cover has a slightly different color hue to it than the base. I don't know if this is maybe sun related or if perhaps the cover is a match. This is a unique and beautiful vintage"apothecary" style jar/bottle with emerald green glass fading to clear. The stopper is clear also. And has a small decorative"drop" of glass in the center. The overall glass is very thick; it has some small bubbles in it(possibly blown glass? with a very evenly formed indentation in the middle of the bottom. There are no maker's marks visible. At the base is an indented ridge less than an inch from the bottom of the bottle; and that bottom portion of the glass is actually clear! See picture#7. I purchased this item at a local auction; there was no additional information given. So I have no history nor know the approximate age. The bottle stands approximately 7 5/8" tall with the stopper; 6 7/8" without the stopper. It is 5 1/8" in diameter. Very heavy possibly Murano Hand Blown Cased Amber Pale Yellow Glass Apothecary Jar Ginger Jar Cookie Jar that measures 8.75" tall x 5.75" wide x 3" base x 3" mouth opening. The lid feels like it weighs as much as the jar iself. The pontil base is flat and the colors range from a pale to sunshine yellow to a rich amber pointed tip on lid. Excellent condition with one flea bite or flaw noted on inside rim edge of jar that looks like it was a bubble possibly in the glass but it has a rough feel. Antique Pair Blown Glass Apothecary Drug Store Candy Jars Applied Bands NICE!
Here is a pair of covered glass jars. Each with two applied glass bands, rough pontil marks, and ridge detail on the lids under the finial. They are a bit over 12" tall and the opening is 5 1/2" in diameter. One base is perfect, the other has some rim chips. The joining seam where the glass band ends meet are visible that is not damage. Both lids have chips on the inner rim edge that is inserted into the base and some rough areas along the outer edge of the lid but not visible chips. Will be shipped double boxed. BUY. SELL. BELIEVE. Fantastic Pittsburgh 12" Blown Glass Covered Jar with Applied Cobalt Blue Bands
A great mid 19th century Pittsburgh glass covered jar fresh from a central Connecticut home. The jar has a domed lid and base with two applied cobalt blue bands. Condition is excellent. There are no chips. Cracks or grinds. Cobalt banding is perfect. No sickness or staining. Edge of lid is perfect. Nice pontil base. Nice wear on bottom edge. Measures 12" high overall. Jar measures 7.25" high and 6.25" wide. A wonderful example of antique American glass. International Buyers– Please Note: Import duties. Antique 19th Century Antebellum Hand Blown Glass Fly Catcher Trap
Description This antique hand blown glass Fly catcher that was originally found in a Louisiana estate sale many years ago. It was dated. In the sale, as 1830-1850. Originally, it was used in the dining room. Sugar water was poured into the trap to lure flies. A linen napkin covered it when the meal was being served. This trap is blown into a wine decanter shape. The“bottle” has three hand applied glass feet. The stopper is hand blown. It measures 7 ½” high, 10” with the stopper) The diameter measures approximately 5 ½” There are various striations and small air bubbles in the glass, a rough edge on one of the applied feet and some minor cloudiness from use. The glass has no cracks. There are some small chips along the inside edge of the top opening. The glass stopper is how I originally bought it. The stopper is old but not likely ... moreoriginal. The trap likely had a simple cork. The lip on the top is hand applied, therefore it has lines in the glass. It may appear that is it cracked in the photo, it is not cracked.
