Antique Sterling Silver Old Reynolds Angels Covered Glass Dresser Jar. This piece dates to around 1900. It is English and it is marked with the hallmarks of the maker on the sterling silver cover. This piece measures 2" high to the top of the cover and it is 1 3/4" in diameter. The cover shows five angels in the clouds. The glass is a cane pattern. The condition of this piece is very good however there are a few minor dents in the silver around the edge and a very tiny imperfection in the glass at the top of the rim. I believe that this was in the making and not damage. Nice little dresser jar. There are no cracks in the silver cover. I will combine items when possible to save shipping costs. They have sawtooth cuts along the sides and both have beautiful repousse floral sterling silver lids by Wallace. Both lids are very faintly monogrammed. You can hardly see the monograms and I can't honestly say what letters they are, though H is my best guess. The larger jar is 1-1/2" tall and 2" in diameter. The smaller one is 1-1/4" tall by 1-1/2" diameter. There is no apparent damage to either jar. Weight on the lids only totals 24 grams. The lids are marked Sterling by R. Wallace& Sons and numbered 4040 and 4036. Antique cut crystal jar. The jar's unusual designs are hard to describe- but here goes! The jar has raised"ribs" of crystal running vertically. Having a repeated chiseled divot design. Between the ribbed lines are circular depressions into the crystal. The sterling silver lid has lovely repousse work on top. Wonderful condition. An large(and very useful) sterling silver and cut glass hinged vessel by Whiting Manufacturing. NY, NY(1866-1926) This unusual form stands a grand 5 1/2" tall and about 3 1/2" wide. Make by American silver marker Whiting(later absorbed into Gorham in 1926) its form is quite English and the pattern on the silver is the highly collectible"King Edward" pattern introduced c.1901. I thought it was a large dresser jar, but I have been told that it may actually be a tea caddy. Period script monogram. Well hallmarked for identification on both sides of the silver rim near the hinge. Left side: Whiting Logo and Sterling. Right side: 4550 over 107. Pat. 1893, 925 over 1000 Fine. CONDITION: ... moreAntique item over 100 years old. Silver has a lovely patina and just two impressed dents. One being visible on the outer belly of the rim, while the other tracks the outside of the floral motif in one area(see photos) The glass has a number of losses at the bottom edge. The cut work in the main part of the body is in nice shape- nothing is jumping out at me, but given the material ad age, please expect that where will likely be a few nicks. Overall, not perfect, but presents beautifully. Finely crafted hand cut crystal jar, with cut crystal stopper, and hinged sterling silver lid with a red glass cabochon set in the top. Clearly marked as Blackington, showing the B with the sword through it, and the line marking of 7956. I'm not exactly sure what this jar would have been used for, I'm not sure if it's a condiment jar, or possibly a vanity jar of some sort. Measures 3.25" tall. Beautiful condition, hasn't been polished at any recent time, nice aged oxidation, design is still nice and crisp, was never over polished, the hinge is nice and snug and the lid does not flop around, and it snaps closed into place very precisely ... moreand securely. The glass stopper is the original, fits snugly into place. The Crystal has a hand cut start design on the bottom, and an ornate pattern engraved across the entire outside surface. At one point the lid had a small shallow dent in a 1/4" spot, but it appears to have been cautiously pushed back out, and is for the most part unrecognizable aside from the black tarnish that had once gathered in the dent. The red glass cabochon is actually set into a sterling silver bezel, it is not just glued into place. Essentially perfect condition. Items guaranteed to be as described. American antique cut crystal glass-sterling silver powder jar and hair receiver
American cut crystal glass based and sterling silver topped powder and hair receiver jars. Early 20th. century art deco design. Powder jar has monogram of three Greek letters. Set in lozenge form. Word STERLING appears on rims with maker's mark of: C.W. and arrow. 3" tall and 3 3/4 diameter. Silver weight approximately: 2 oz's. Simple square indent design form around edge of silver tops, with invented corners. NB: some minor dents and scratches and silver not recently polished. Otherwise in good condition for age and use. Crystal cut glass has'big wheel' cuts all around and'sunburst' cuts under bases. Crystal in good condition for age and use.

This auction is for a really cute antique glass jar with a sterling silver lid. The lid has a amethyst purple stone in the center.
