An antique red cranberry glass pickle castor jar and cover. Note the hand painted enameled floral design. Original gold gilding and blown out panels as well as the fern sprigs in relief. There are 3 panels with hand painted flowers and 3 panels with fern leaves. Dates to the late 1800’s– early 1900’s. The silverplate cover is a good fit, no makers mark, no engraved monogram present. Measures a full 6 3/4 inches tall. The jar measures 4 1/2 inches tall. 3 inch top diameter and 2 7/8 inch base diameter. Condition is good as there are NO cracks. Internal staining, paint loss and 95% original gold gilding present. There is a chip in the top rim. The top of the jar yields a silver plated handle labeled EPNS and a fitted metal lid. This piece measures 6 inches tall by 6 inches at its widest point. The piece is in good vintage condition. Antique Pickle Cruet with Tongs and Condiments set* Up for auction is an antique pickle cruet with tong and condiments set. This set was made by the Toronto Silver Plate Company of Toronto. Ontario, Canada in the 1920's. It is stamped on the back with the company mark and is numbered 95. It features a beautiful holder with intricate design and the glass has an amber colour and is cut. The rim of the amber glass has to minor chips. The tongs feature bird claws and is very well crafted. The base of the holder measures 13.5 inches. For your consideration.this lovely antique vintage glass biscuit barrel or jar from the late 1800's. It is glass with a Sheffield silver plate rim. Handle and lid. It has the Sheffield makers mark on the inside of the lid, along with"Bagh& Co( and the bottom of the glass jar has the mark B3340 and someone has written 20 in marker. It has some crazing and needs a good polishing and the silverplate is worn, so I can't guarantee how it will turn out. There is some scratching on the silver parts and along the bottom of the silver rim. The finial is tight, straight and secure. There was a note we found inside of the jar. Antique Diamond Optic Brilliant Blue Biscuit Jar w/ Silver Plate Lid- Beautiful!
This is a beautiful bright blue glass biscuit jar that appears to have been top mold blown. In the diamond optic pattern. It has an unmarked silver plate lid, which I am guessing is not original to the jar, as the lid is less ornate than what would have been on the jar at one time. The lid does fit well though and feels heavy and sturdy. The finial on the lid has a bee or insect of some kind on it. The jar is 6" tall without the lid. It is 3 7/8" across the top. The glass is in excellent condition. With no cracks, chips, scratches, or stains. There is a small indented area on the lip of the jar that looks like where there was a shallow flake of glass that had come off, so someone buffed it smooth. There is some loss of silver plate on the lid and a little downward curvature of the edge of its lip, but there are no major dents or ... moreother damage. I am willing to combine more than one item in a package to lower your shipping costs. As long as they can safely be shipped together. I will ship internationally. Antique 1800s bisquit jar Washington Glass silver plate painted signed P 3932
This auction is for an antique 1800's hand painted biscuit jar. It has a silver plate cover signed P 3932 on the inside of the cover. The very bottom of the jar is signed 3932/222 but it is so light I could not get it to show up on my camera. I was told that this is Washington glass but I am not entirely sure. This is one of 13 Dresser Jars I am selling. This one is a glass jar. 1 5/8" Tall and 1 3/8" in diameter with a Silver Plate Top. I have had these in my family since they were made, long before Avon and Mary Kay were born, and long before we bought cosmetics in plastic tubes. It was a time of more style and grace. The jar and lid are in excellent condition. These are from a time when you either bought or made your lotion and make up and put them in these jars on your dresser to use. Antique English Etched Glass Biscuit Barrel Jar Silver Hallmarks Engraved Plate
This is a beautiful old biscuit barrel or biscuit jar from England. It has many hallmarks on it. And I am unable to decipher them. The first is W.H. in an oval. The next may be the"and" sign(ampersand) The third is an"S" The sixth and seventh appear to be"M.P. in a shield over a circular encased"A" I am not sure about any of this. I tried to photograph as close as possible. On the other side of the metal rim is an engraved number which appears to be 275167. This may have been an identifying number in case of theft. The jar is heavily etched with ferns and other floral sprigs. The metal lid is engraved with various etched leaves, ivy, and birds. The jar measures about 6 1/2" tall with the handle down and 9" with the handle up. It is about 5 1/4" wide at its most bulbous part and about 3 1/2" ... morewide at the opening. It came from a lady that lived almost all her life in London. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage other than the multiple shelf scratches typically seen on the bottom of old glass pieces that have been moved around when not on a doily. 1900's ANTIQUE Handpainted Glass Biscuit Jar VAN BERGH Quadruple Silver Plate
You are bidding on a beautiful antique Biscuit Jar. Late to early century. This jar was produced in Rochester, New York. I do not know the manufacturer of the Jar itself, but the Quadruple Silver-Plated top, lid, and handle were done by Van Bergh. The number on the underside of the lid 3105. This is a great old piece with a hand-painted pink floral pattern. Floral pattern is on both sides of the jar. The handle is ornately decorated and the lid has a nicely detailed finial. Please read the condition description above and check the pictures. This is a gorgeous antique piece, but it does show some age. No cracks, nicks, chips or splits- just smudges and dirt spots. This is a good looking milk glass biscuit jar by Wave crest with a silver plated lid and handle. It has a transfer of very clear and pretty blue daisies. The jar is 6 1/2" to the top metal rim. 8 1/2" to top finial of lid, 10" to top of handle, top rim diameter is 4 1/2" and the base diameter is 4" The widest part of the glass jar is 6" It is in excellent condition: no cracks or chips. The silver plate is tarnished giving it an Antique patina. Florette pattern Pickle Jar and Silver Plate Lid Circa 1890 The jar measures 3 1/4" high x 2 7/8" across the lip and is 13" in circumference or approximately 4" in diameter at the widest part of the jar. It has the correct dimensions to fit a silver plate pickle castor basket frame nicely or it could be used as a powder box. The silver plate lid fits perfectly into the top of this jar. The plating is excellent. The jar has a smack line on its exterior case- it does Not go through into the interior of this jar- see pictures 3 and 4. Otherwise excellent and a beautiful pink color.
