Antique Hand Made Glass Storage Jar and Top, Amber, USA, HandBlown
Glass Storage jar made in the USA. The top has been ground in and fits the jar very well. I doubt this could be claimed to be"Food Grade' but that does not bother me. I used them for storing dry goods. It is made from amber colored glass. This jar is square. And the top has a unique 12 point star pattern that makes for a secure grip. It measures 9 3/4" tall and 4 7/8" square. No scatches, cracks, dings or repairs. I suppose that I should call it an antique. The jar was made somewhere on the east coast way back in the last century. One can tell that the factory was not modern. There are a few bubbles. And one poppy seed size stone. A stone is a piece of the crucible or some other insulation that breaks off into the glass. There are optic lines left from the cooling process in the trap mold that they were using. Here is an elegant antique Victorian hand painted glass biscuit or cracker jar with a silver plated lid and fancy embossed silver plated handle. The piece measures 6-1/4" high. 8-1/4" high with the lid on, and 10-1/2" high with the handle up by 5-3/4" in diameter. The hand painted flowers are very well executed. The piece retains it's original silver plated lid, which is marked: VAN BERCH SILVER PLATE CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE ROCHESTER, N.Y. in a circle and bears the# 3105. The piece is in excellent used condition, no chips or cracks to the glass and no dings or dents to the metal. The top has been ground in and fits the jar very well. I doubt this could be claimed to be"Food Grade' but that does not bother me. I used them for storing dry goods. It is made from amber colored glass. This jar is square. And the top has a unique 12 point star pattern that makes for a secure grip. It measures 9 3/4" tall and 4 7/8" square. No scatches, cracks, dings or repairs. I suppose that I should call it an antique. The jar was made somewhere on the east coast way back in the last century. One can tell that the factory was not modern. There are a few bubbles. And one poppy seed size stone. A stone is a piece of the crucible or some other insulation that breaks off into ... morethe glass. There are optic lines left from the cooling process in the trap mold that they were using. I got just it just because I am a glassblower and love all kinds of unique glass products. I have quite a number of them and I am thinning out my collection to make room for other gems. This exquisite piece depicting a stag in the forest has copper metal details. It stands 2 1/2" and is 3 1/4" wide. There are no chips. Scratches or major defects. The copper hinge is partly torn on the inside of the jar.The bottom of the jar shows minor wear. Here is a real beauty! A genuine Victorian era Hand Painted Biscuit Jar. The metal part is Quadruple silver plate and was made by Van Berch Silver Co. and is marked inside the lid. The satin glass body is beautifully hand painted with a floral design. This biscuit jar measures 9 inches tall(w/ lid) 11 1/4 to the top of the handle, and 5 1/2 in at the widest part. Nakara C.F. Monroe Cigar Humidor/ Jar 1900's This is a beautiful original jar for storing cigars. Most likely for those women who smoked cigars in the late 19th century! I did some research on the web on CF Monroe Co. and this is what I found. In 1880 Charles Fabyan Monroe started his own business in Meriden. Connecticut selling imported glass and soon his first shop was enlarged to become a decorating studio and showroom. By 1886 the studio evolved into the C.F. Monroe Company. The company became renowned for its elegant and finely decorated Victorian opal glass known as“Wave Crest” a name which has virtually become a synonym for the Monroe Company itself. I can see no marks or writing anywhere on the pot– either it has worn off or was possibly on the lid which went missing and is not included. The glass on this jar is in very good condition- still a beautiful creamy white! Very c lean with only a couple of very small marks. And thick! I would estimate the glass to be at least a quarter inch thick. The paint is still exquisite! Jar has three BEAUTIFUL Birds painted on it. They are all types of Egrets or Herons and the colors are still vibrant and spectacular! Also beautiful grass. Flowers and leaves have held their color as well! Very nice. Very old and extremely hard to find hand blown glass candy or possibly medicine jar. Jar is in very good shape no chips or cracks, pontil mark on the bottom with some bubbling and imperfections, the lid is mold blown and has a hand ground edge and full of small bubbles it does show some ware from use through the years, it appears in the pictures to have a chip on the edge of the lid but it is an imperfection, it has been ground and not clean as a chip would appear.

Wonderful set of antique French apothecary jars. The largest one measures 11 1/4" tall. The other measures 8 3/8" tall. No chips or cracks on the bodies, but each jar has some chips on the frosted part of the stopper. Each side of both jars has the same roses medallion. There is some paint on both. There is no sickness inside the jars, but they do need a cleaning. They still display beautifully! From a lovely old estate. Vintage Antique Green Glass Flat Bottom Spooner, Hand Painted Flowers & Gilted
Up for viewing is an antique hand painted depression green glass spooner with gilted edges and leaves. I bought this at an estate sale and it had an old hand written piece of masking tape on it that said"spooner" I talked to the family and they believe. Based on memory, that it's from at least the 30's. It stands 4.5" high. The top is 4.5" in diameter and the base is 2.5" in diameter. There is no makers mark but the bottom has a cut glass snowflake mark. The rim of the spooner is scalloped and gilted. Around the spooner are two hand painted flowers. pink& white and orange, yellow& white) with light green and gilted leaves. Beautiful! Condition: there are two small dots of paint splatter. One small scratch/nick above a leaf and some of the gilt around the glass has worn off. Please see last 2 pictures ... morefor paint and scratch issues. Antique / Vintage Porcelain DRESSER JAR or JEWELRY BOX Brass & Hand Painted Lid
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is ceramic or porcelain dresser/jewelry box. It has very vibrant paintings of a bird and some flowers. The paintings are very intact except for some wear to the gold highlights of the wing and tail feathers. The mountings look to be brass and it sits on 4 little ball feet. One ball has a small dent in it. The mountings are all firmly attached and the hinge works well. The small mirror in the lid has a crack through the middle. Otherwise the box itself has no damage- no chips. Cracks or repairs that I can see. The mountings could use a little polish and I do see a few very tiny dings to the metal, mostly around the bottom. Antique Walker& Hall Porcelain Biscuit Jar with decorated silver plated rim. Handle and collar. Silver lid is stamped on the underside with# 14296 and a 9 underneath. Overall rose pattern on the 6 sided base in colors of sandy brown, cream with green hues, pink and red roses. Still nice condition with some light scratches in the silver, some crazing and a double line fracture near the silver collar. The base is marked with B5860.
