Up for the auction is a museum quality antique Mount Washington art glass covered bowl or cookie jar in a Crown Milano pattern. It has ribbed glass body with a nice metal mount with floral pattern. Metal lid with molded crab, and nice finely wrought delicate handle(pics. 1-4) The glass body has a fine hand painted floral design of berry's branches and applied red and blue glass berries(pics. 5-10) Stamped on the cover"MW" for Mount Washington and numbered as shown on pic. 11. In an excellent condition without any damage with some losses to the applied berries. Pair of Art Deco Pink Etched Glass Condiment Jars w/Silverplate Tops & Rim
This is a matching pair of pink etched glass conditment jars. Each jar has a silverplate top with a handle for easy carrying and a three bands of silver around the middle and bottom. Each jar is in good condition free of chips. Cracks or any repairs though the silverplate on the top of each jar shows definate wear as shown in the pictures. There are also a few small dents on the larger jar. The larger jar measures 5 1/2" tall with a bottom circumferance of 6" and the smaller jar measures 3 1/2" tall with a bottom circumferance of 4 1/2" These are wonderful collectors items to use or display on a shelf.or great for gift giving during the holidays. Dad often would make a card on some of their more special items, the following is from his writeup: Loetz cracker jar. 5" diameter by 6 1/2" high to top of lid. Silver carrying bale has unique type hinge arm that lifts lid when bale is tipped back. Bale is mounted to rim. All silver plate. Jar is pastel blue/green with strong iridescence and dark-purple all-over threading. This an unusual piece with truly beautiful glass. The color. Up for sale we an an exquisite Victorian Art Glass Biscuit Barrel. This Antique Jar has raised enamel detail all around the outside base. The top has wonderful Victorian detail with a Whimsey sign stating"Biscuits" The handle is a very fancy one as well in true Victorian Fashion. The glass is in pristine condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The silver is in very good shape as well especially for its age of over 125 years. The first picture shown is before we polished the silver. It can use more polishing and it will be even more shimmering. The barrel is a full size one and stands 10 1/4" tall by 5" in dia. Just to the top of the lid is about 7" tall. The inside is clean and bright. You can see that this piece has been well cared for all its years. 2 Antique Rowntrees Gums~Art Nouveau Glass Candy Store Counter Jars & Lids!
I could have sold these early 1900's Candy Store Counter display jars seperate. But the have been together for so long I'am listing them in one sale with no reserve! Each hand blown glass jar measures 5 1/2" base dia x 12" total ht including the lid. The tin lids are embossed with a great looking Art Nouveau/ Art Deco design and the sides are punched with the name"Rowntrees Gums" on the front& back side. Since the display jars are hand blown one jar weighs 2.1 lbs and the other one is over a pound heavier weighing 3.3 lbs. Both are still in ex condition however one jar has two nicks on the inside edge of the top rim( see last two pics) Both nicks are well concealed when the lid is firmly in place.

Beautiful gold colored accents with etched flower and stem design. This piece would be a great addition to any collection. Really nice relief on the gold. Condition is very good. The bottom of the jar has 2 chips on the rim and the lid also has 2 chips on the lower rim. They are very small and hardly noticable but clearly pictured below. There are a couple spots where the gold trim line has removed. Very few places but I want to be clear. It's only the pin line paint. Diameter of the jar is 5 inches and it's 3.25 inches tall. This beautiful Bristol Glass Ecru Colored Dresser Box measures about 7.75" tall and about 3-3/8" in diameter. It does have some small chips to the inner rim of the lid and jar. The enamel loss and the substantial wear to the base shaw the age of this piece and that it was used. I dated this piece to the early twentieth but it could be a bit earlier.

Up for consideration is a lovely antique. Mary Gregory, hand-painted, Cranberry art glass powder jar in beautiful condition. This exquisite piece depicting a stag in the forest has copper metal details. It stands 2 1/2" and is 3 1/4" wide. There are no chips. Scratches or major defects. The copper hinge is partly torn on the inside of the jar.The bottom of the jar shows minor wear. Some of which has worn off, especially in the area of the lock. I do not have a key for this box. The glass is pressed glass. I believe there is a seam in each corner. The glass is clear, but has a textured, slightly frosted look. This is very heavy, it weighs over a pound and a half on its own. The size is 4 3/4" by 4" tall by 3 1/4" I looked it over really well, and see a few minor flea bites, a little roughness on bottom, but all common with this type of glass. Beautiful late 19th century Victorian footed green swirl glass trinket box. Centerpiece is the foil picture of the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. Built in 1880, trimmed in an ornate'frame' The famed German Cathedral depicts an interesting dimension with use of the colors in the foil picture. Underneath the picture of the cathedral is written"Dom zu Coln" The picture is protected underneath round glass. The green swirl glass is raised/ribbed and this is quite a heavy piece for its size(4-1/2" Tall x 4-1/4" in diameter) and sits securely on 4 ornate metal feet. Metal may be brass with a copper finish, but is definately a pink metal vs. a gold metal. Lid with an S-shaped clasp and hinge securely tight and working properly. Very unusual jar bought at an estate sale a few years back. Bottom is marked IDL, NY No. 3 did some research and IDL was medical supply company that did lots of various purpose glass containers in 20's and 30's. Jar is small and measurement pictured above, lid sits loosely on top and is a beautiful glass dome and acts like a magnifying glass to enlarge whats inside the jar. Antique Green Victorian Biscuit Jar Art Glass metal lid (not silver) w handle
This is a very beautiful victorian jar. It measures about 6" and 8 1/4" with the lid. I didn't count the handle in the measurements. The diameter is about 4" It is in very great condition as you can see on pictures with no chips. No cracks. There are some imperfections like bubbles in the glass that you can feel with your fingers inside the jar(but not outside) that added to its charm. The color is green, quite enough dark, not clear. I'm not an expert in anything and don't know the kind of glass it is made but it's very very nice. The lid and the handle are in metal. It is very decorative. I don't think it is silver plated. French Opaline Art Glass Palais Royal Paris HP Enamel Ormolu Trinket Jewelry Box I just purchased this antique French trinket box/ jewelry casket from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The box is characteristic of the hand painted opaline designs offered during the mid 19th century at the boutiques of the famed Palais Royal of Paris. The piece is beautifully executed in rose opaline glass with a floral bouquet done in rich enamels on the lid. The ormolu mounts show nice detail to the ring handles and ivy vine draped feet. The piece measures 3 ½" high. 3 ¾" wide at the handles and 3 ½" deep. The piece is in excellent condition with the only damage being a fine hairline(1" in the base(within the ormolu ring) The line was a production firing/ cooling flaw and is centered on a pinhead bit of undissolved ... moresilica in the glass batch, you have to look against a strong light. This charming opaline box would make a nice addition to any collection of 19th century French decorative arts or Second Empire/ Victorian Era lady's dresser/ vanity accessories. Enamel scrolls& Beaded decoration in Raised Gilt& ochre Yellow details. The paint is good, may be slight over all wear consistent with age. The hinge work great, no damage or repairs. This has the old"S" style Clasp, is more or less a lifter, does not really hold anything. Maybe could be bent so it actually catches, but will leave that to new owner. There is some green patina on bottom side of lid, will leave to new owner to clean. The jar measures about 3" across by about 2.5" tall. This is will mail under the 1 pound weight. It is so very pretty with its pink and white art deco design. The jar is about 7-1/2" tall to the finial on the silverplated lid. And about 5" in diameter at the middle. A stunning example that is a take off on the Loetz Chine style, with ox blood red threads that as eerie as it may sound looks like veins. This was made for import to the French Market, as it is signed on the bottom, Tchecoslovaquie. This stands approx. 5 1/2" tall, and 5 1/2" in diameter. You can see 3 flea bites inside the rim of the lid, right next to each other, but this is otherwise in very good to excellent condition. All of the threading looks to be present. The jar measures 9 inches or 23 cm high to the top of the finial on the cover and is just less than 4 inches or 10 cm at its widest.
