A shoe polish for blackening shoes. This box is from the late 1800s, and would have held 3 dozen tins of blacking. Measures: 11.5" in length, almost 8" in depth, and 4.75" in height. One of the small metal wires which acts as one of the hinges has broken. It's and easy fix as it's simply two pieces of stiff wire held by a small loop, shown in one of the photos.Name written in pencil faintly can still be seen on box top center. The corners are dovetailed. The wood in general is quite good condition for it's age, no cracking. One small chip to the bottom underside where a nail head is exposed on the frame, minor. As you can see the paper litho on the outside and inside the box top is in quite good condition. Still bright and clean, with some spotting and general age wear. Part of the fabric closer fabric, center of the front of the box is still left but has torn. A pretty nice piece of advertising and/or Black Americana. Thanks and Good Luck! Hello! It is time to send my jars forward to new owners. I am offering some old favorites of mine. So keep watching my auctions for combined shipping deals. This auctions jar is a real nice ball blue square quart. the base is a 10 mold, there is a good old zinc cap that comes with this jar, I have checked the jar carefully and can find little case wear or use scratches from my close exam. This jar was barely,if ever used. no nick,crack,sickness, etc. This style of jar was always a favorite of mine, they pack together so tightly when square! It measures Approximately 7" high-3 3/4" in diameter-and has an opening on top of 2 3/4" You will find a number 14 on the bottom. I have been told the lower the number on the bottom the older it is. Antique Genuine Mason Jar with Presto Glass Lid
Hi- This is a Samco Genuine Clear Mason Jar with a Glass lid fastened with a Presto Lid Closure which is approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute and the Household Magazine Household Searchlight(HS) It is in great condition and the inside glass lid has instructions on where to insert a knife edge to break the seal. I removed the red rubber gasket to protect it and placed it inside the jar. The jar is 7 inches high and is a quart jar. What a nice piece to add to a collection.

The first jar is a light aqua blue and reads" Atlas E-Z Seal" The second is a darker aqua and reads Atlas E-Z Seal. The third is a dark aqua and reads Trade Mark Climax Registered. Wire Side, and Patd July 14 1908. The largest measures approx. 7 1/2" tall& 4" across& the smallest approx. 5 1/2" tall& 3 1/2" across. OHIO Quality Mason vintage canning jar antique from 1920s
Vintage glass canning jar embossed"Ohio Quality Mason" from the Ohio Glass Products Co of Massillon. Ohio. This particularly jar was made for only a very short time, from 1924-26. Jar has some clouding in the back but no chips or cracks and some nice bubbling and manufacturing roughness associated with the era. Of particular note is the dear clean embossing. With the"O"s of"OHIO" spaced far apart. Jar comes with a vintage Ball tin lid.Stands about 7 inches tall.
