I have a neat vintage quarte canning jar. It has a wire bail which is a little oxidized. There is no lid. It is a blue/green in color. On side of jar it says Ball Ideal. Pat. D. July 14, 1908. Two Pint Ball Ideal Canning Jars with wire bails
I have two good pint Ball Ideal canning jars. They both have wire bales on them. They do not have lids. On the bottom side of one of them it says Pat D July 14.1908 and on the other one it has Pat D July 14. 1908. One of them is a real pale green. On the bottom of the one it has either a G or a 6. I am not sure. On the other one it has a 10 on the bottom. They have some bubbles in the glass. The jar that has July 14, 1908 on it has a chip in the glass rim below the sealing top. It looks like the wire bail made it. I accept personal checks and pay-pal. I do not charge handling fees. Only actual mail charge. Antique Green Ball Ideal Wire Side Pint Fruit Jar with Glass Lid Clearly marked Ball Ideal Pat D July 14. 1908 with the# 2 on the bottom. This is a very attractive jar with thick green matching glass and lid. Lid is also embossed Ball. Wire bail has a rusty patina but still closes well and holds the top in place as it should. Rubber gasket is included but in bad shape. Jar is considered one pint size but runs a little larger with room for a couple more oz in the neck area if needed. Weights about 1 lb. Rare find in this nice a condition!
