There is a small chip on the frosted edge of the large stopper. The small stopper has a small(hardly visible) chip on the side and you can see that the pewter goes all the way through. Not painted on. They are 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and 4-1/2" tall. I believe this is pressed or poured glass as I can see two seams starting on the necks of the bottle. This is a turn of the century apothecary jar which is 11" tall including the stopper and 4 3/4" in diameter with 3 1/4" stopper. Jar is heavy and sides are sturdy and thick with side marks as if made as"pressed glass" or in a mold' Stopper is interesting 1" thick and 3 1/4" in diameter There is an indented part on top of the stopper 1/4" deep and1 5/8" across. The plug part is 2 1/2" across and about 1/2" deep with a large indent also 1/2" in and 1 1/2" across. Around the edge of the plug/stopper part ther is a thin ring of cork which must have been glued on and there is about 1/4" part missing. Outside of jar has remnents of a label. This attractive antique apothecary jar measures about 6" high to the rim. 7.5" to the top of the lid, and about 4.5" in diameter. Over time, putting the lid on and off has worn down the glaze on the top rim a bit and something has stained the upper inside edge(see last photo) However, this staining cannot be seen from the outside with the lid on(except for a tiny bit you can see in the photo of the back of the jar just under the edge of the lid) Otherwise, the jar is in excellent condition with no other staining, and no chips, cracks nor crazing. The lid itself is in excellent- almost mint- condition. The two rows of under-glaze cobalt blue floral decoration have flowed nicely. Giving the jar a warm, soft look. I do not know what was stored in this jar(Erblen? Frblen? Grblen? If anyone knows, I would certainly appreciate hearing ... morefrom you! I do not know who made this jar. There are four marks on the underside. One is a hand printed number 74 under glaze in the same flow blue as the design. Two partially impressed marks appear to be two bars under the beehive/triangle mark. And what looks like a capital L or number 7. The last mark is the under-glaze maker's mark in a blue/green-gray. It is a shield(aka'beehive' inside a round-cornered triangle. Three sides have writing, but I can only make out DEPOSE on one side- which is a French word, so it could possibly be French. One side I cannot make out at all and the third side has a word that looks like it ends in UTTY. Again, if anyone can help, I'd appreciate hearing from you! Antique Heavy Glass Apothecary Candy Display Jar Light Colonial Blue Tint
Antique heavy glass apothecary candy display jar in a lovely light colonial blue tint. Measures approximately 10" tall with lid. 5-3/4" across the lid's widest distance, 5-1/2" across the rim and 4" across the base. Weighs 4 lbs. Very Good Condition. There are a couple of scratches to note. One is about 1/2" long near the lid knob handle. The other is a curvy line scratch that measures approximately 1-1/2" on the inside base. In both cases these are on the inside and appear to have occurred in manufacturing. There is one 1/8" scratch on the top outside of the lid. There are a couple of very fine scratches on the jar itself but they are only noticeable when looking very closely in direct bright light. Due to their location and/or their size. The etching is only on the front of the jars. Picture number 3 is the backside of the jars. They are marked with a flower and 1000 o n the bottom to show the size of the jar. They are a little dusty or dirty inside. I have not tried cleaning. I bought these from an estate sale approximately 10+ years ago. So I do not know if they are original French jars or reproductions. I am anticipating a move soon so I am selling things that I haven't used in a while. The bottles have cork lids which are slightly stained. Offering an antique mold blown square/ rectangle shaped American drugstore counter candy jar circa 1890s in fantastic condition. Stands approx. 11 1/4" tall. Ribbed starburst lid fits perfect and is original to the jar. No chips. Cracks, etc. other than a few air bubbles in the glass which are not open. RARE ANTIQUE FRANKLIN CARO OLD STORE COCA COLA GUM APOTHECARY JAR RICHMOND, VA
Very hard to find Franklin Caro Co. Richmond, Virginia drugstore or old store apothecary jar. Base is excellent and the lid does have some chips. Measures 11" tall and the jar is 8-sided. This jar was only made in Richmond for a couple of years. It held Coca Cola Pepsin Gum and some history of the company is a follows: Coca-Cola gum was made from 1903 to 1920. The gum was not made by the Coca-Cola beverage company but by another Atlanta company. The Coca-Cola Gum Company, which used both the Coca-Cola name and the logo. The Coca-Cola Gum Company was bought by Franklin Manufacturing(later called Franklin-Caro Co. and moved to Richmond, Virginia, in the early 1900s. The beverage company did not like this use of their trademark and bought out the gum company by 1924. Coca-Cola Gum items are rare and usually bring high prices.

It stands just under 11 inches tall with the lid and about 8 inches without. The circumference of the jar at the widest is about 22 inches. It is hand blown so there are slight imperfections in the glass. The lid is rough around the edges where the glass was hand cut. But there are no chips. Set of 4 Antique Dakota Glass Small Apothecary Jars Pill Jars Well. I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Here is a really nice matching set of old apothecary jars. They were marked as Dakota glass. And I'll tell you I know nothing about glass, so please look at the photos and see what you think. I can tell you that they have a raised rounded rib pattern along the top rim of the knob at the top of the jar- ... morenot inset like a thumbprint as I'm used to seeing, they are in relief. Each jar measures 2" square, is 1 3/8" diameter across the mouth measuring on the inside of the walls, and stands 3 1/2" tall to the top of the lid. Each one weighs 1/4 lb. They are clear glass, filled with anomolies original to the making- bubbles, burps and bumps, not damage, all original. The inside of the mouth of the jars, as well as the outside of the lid that fits into the mouths are frosted glass. They are in amazing condition. I cannot find a nick, chip, a crack- nothing. I looked and felt- and it tricks you, because you'll think you see an edge nick on the inside, and rub your finger around only to discover it's actually a bubble under the glass, or a bump on the glass. The jars are overall clean inside(no residue that I see on the inside) and out, but do need a good bath. They show lots of dust, and one of the jars has a palpable dried carmel colored dirt/grime on the outside of the glass- see photo 13, and some teenie pieces of loose something on the inside of the jar that can come out. I have not tried to clean, clean out or mess with the as found patina in any way. How

This is a wonderful Antique Tiffin Dakota Glass Apothecary Drugstore Candy Jar. It stands approximately 11-1/2" high to the top of the lid. It is in beautiful estate condition with NO chips. NO cracks, NO cloudiness, NO sickness, NO restoration and NO replacements. The 3-mold base is appropriately wafer connected to the 2-mold globe portion. The lid is also 3-mold. The mold pressed details show beautiful clarity and crispness. This comes from a nice old estate. These are terrific for candy. Nuts, and so much more! It has"flat" corners. As with any old glass, it has bubles and straw marks consistent with its age. No chips, flea bites, or cracks. Antique LARGE 16'' HAND BLOWN APOTHECARY Glass JAR BOSTON SANDWICH
This is a beautiful large glass jar. I do believe it is a vintage APOTHECARY JAR as it is hand blown and has beautiful ground flares around it at the waist and lower portion of the baluster portion of the container. The large lid is also ground with flares in the glass. It stands nearly 16' tall. It could be flint as it does have a wonderful New England Sandwich Boston feel to it. I don't know enough about glass to say for sure who made it. There are a few floating bubbles within the glass with some slight wave here and there. This is truly a gorgeous piece. I can't be 100% positive if it is American or European but either way it is a beauty. Please if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Shipping is extra via US Standard Mail. Antique/Vintage Glass Metal Apothecary Pedestal Jar Accurate Cast Co.
Interesting old apothecary-style jar with decorative metal base and screw top lid with cherries on top. 9" tall. Accurate Cast A4124" is inscribed in the base. Accurate Cast made metal bases for lamps and other items. But the manufacturer of the jar itself is unknown. The age of this piece is unknown as well. The previous owner acquired it at a flea market in the early 70's and it was not new then. This little beauty is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a little discoloration on the top and side of the lid perhaps from overzealous scrubbing.
