This scale is unmarked as to Mfg. but I believe without a doubt it is a Fairbanks. This scale sits 7" high and approx. 13" long to end of beam. The top plate measures 7"dia. This comes with four weights a 2lb.4lb.and 2-8lb. Using all these weights in conjunction with each other can add up to 22lbs. The pan is made of copper and measures 15-3/4" long and 8-3/4" wide and approx.4-1/4" deep and sits 5" high. Nice old over under scale made by the Exact Scale Co. and so marked on the back with a metal tag. The scale has an aluminum body and is a type 114 with a 3 lb capacity. The serial number is 99525. The scale comes with its' original scoop and 6 weights. The weights are a plated iron or steel and the set includes two 1 lbs, an 8oz, a 4oz, a 2oz and a 1oz. The weights have a fitted shelf on the front of the scale where they are stored. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The scale is in good working condition but may need an adjust. It needs a cleaning and there is scattered oxidation on the aluminum and rust on the weights. We have not cleaned or polished the piece. The last inspection was in 1980. INSIDE THE DRAWER IS A FULL SET OF WEIGHTS IN THEIR ORIGINAL WOOD BLOCK. THAT IS STAMPED MADE IN WEST GERMANY. THE BOX APPEARS TO BE MADE OF PINE AND HAS A SILVER-GREEN HAMMERED PAINT FINISH. Vintage 23 Pc Set of Brass Balance Scale Weights 2-500 Grams Item: Up for your consideration is vintage 23 pc set of brass balance scale weights that range from 2-500 grams. I don't think they are all the same brand some have an"A" stamped on them. Some have an"S" stamped on them and some have"AR" stamped on them. They come with a wooden holder block, but not all of the weights fit into it. Condition: As you can see from my pictures these weights are in nice condition considering their age. The do have some discoloration and light scuff marks. They appear to be free of cracks. I will post plenty of pictures for your buying confidence.
