All of the Chrome is in EXCELLENT condition except for the foot rest which is worn there is NO rust anywhere else. The chair is still fully functional.It still pumps up with dual arms on either side of chair that pumps chair up. Lays chair back by pulling arms out and put chair back into sitting position by pushing arms forward. The chair does still lock as well. I haven’t used the chair for 2 years it has been in storage due to me having back surgery and having hardware put into my back the chair is much to heavy for me to operate now. This heavy metal barber shop chair part has been used. It is just about 7 pounds unwrapped. Metal has wear as you see in the photos. Including rub and scuff, scratches, a few dips in the metal in places like upper left corner and bottom under Chicago probably from the pressure of someone's feet. Patina surface has discoloration and soiling even though I tried to wash it. I don't know hold old this part is, since Koch dates to the 1800's and I see mention into early 1900's. I'd say circa 1900 and if someone has more information to share I welcome your input, since I am not an expert in antique barber shop chairs.
