Very Cool! Own a great piece of American industry foundry history! Wonderful for display! Really an art sculpture now(but a historical piece as well)very ... moreprimitive looking. Great as a vintage wall decor or free-standing antique shelf sculpture. Re-purpose? Lamp base? Or? Offered: A one-of-a-kind. Antique, Vintage, Industrial, Factory FOUNDRY MOLD(from an industrial pump company) Made from Solid Wood. Great for Industrial or Steampunk, Vintage Architectural or Salvage-Look Home, Business or Office Decor. Made of 2 parts put together. Stand-alone item? Display on desk, or use for wall decor or wall collage? This is a unique. Authentic, vintage industrial foundry mold from the 1930's-1940's. This industrial pump part pattern mold is approx. 4" tall, and 7-1/8" in diameter. This mold is beautifully handcrafted out of mahogany wood. With metal-brass supports, with nice details. These molds are prime examples of precision woodworking from the 1910-40's. They were originally used to make sand casts. The casts were then filled with molten metal to form the metal parts needed for the machines/pumps. These mold patterns now make beautiful home accents and hanging, wall décor(loft living, industrial, contemporary, vintage mid-century modern, technical/engineering) The mold shows wear from production use, but that just gives it collectible and display quality. The craftsmanship is amazing. The last image(NFS) here shows how the foundry process worked. The mold is in good. Production condition. In order to maintain its authenticity, any aged patina, and any production"usage, I have not altered or brought to original condition— I have simply cleaned the grime and dust off and gave it a light wax. With no modification, or full restoration. Item has some original production paint on it which adds to its character. This item is being sold in vintage. AS IS" antique condition. Please look over the photos carefully before bidding. Sorry, no returns here—but when you see this when it arrives, you

This antique wood and metal cast iron hardware is a piece of history from an old foundry although I do not see markings of its manufacture, it is made ... moreof thick oak boards and does have dimensions stamped one is a 15 x 3 and the other is a 15 x 4 these are inside dimensions and they are designed to work together and hinge open . They are weather and worn, but have a great vintage look and function properly. They do hinge open, although need a little more lube to do so smoothly.Would make make a great wall shadowbox, or other though it is heavy. Outside dimensions of the frame measure 17 1/2 x 21 with the hardware Overall dimensions are more like 26 1/2 x 19 x 7 1/4 tall.

Vintage PAIR 25" tall Wood Foundry Mold WALL SHELF Old Industrial Art Factory
Rare matched pair of vintage wooden foundry molds that make fantastic wall shelves. These molds measure 25" tall. The shelf surface area is 21" wide. And 10-1/4" deep. I think that originally these were made to attach together, back to back, forming a perfect circle when used as an industrial mold. Each of these weighs 13 lbs and are very sturdy, solid wood. They even have a pair of cast hangers built into the back edge. Considering that these are industrial pattern molds they are in exceptionally nice condition. No breaks or repairs. Only normal surface wear as the photos show. If you are looking for functional wall shelving with industrial form I doubt that you could top these. Great form& color. Very much like industrial wall art. Most items i list are from local estates and usually they are in areas of collecting that ... moreI have little or no knowledge of. ANTIQUE WOOD WHEEL MOLD INDUSTRIAL STEAMPUNK FOUNDRY PULLEY FACTORY REVOLUTION
FROM SHABBYCOTTAGEDEALS HERE IS A FANTASTIC ANTIQUE WOOD FOUNDRY MOLD WHEEL. IT'S IN GREAT SHAPE. MEAUSRES 8" IN DIAMETER AND THE THICKNESS ON THE OUTSIDE IS 1 AND 5/8THS INCHES. THE MOLD WHEEL PROCESS INVOLVES THIS EXCERPT TAKEN FROM WIKIPEDIA; Process Wood craftsmen begin by making a model of the desired metal object from hardwood. Using lathes. Saws. And planes. Which were all powered by the Knight Wheels. The model, called a pattern. Is then placed in a casting flask. In its simplest form a topless and bottomless box split in half around its perimeter. The flask is placed on a board and a sand mixture(containing seacoal. Bentonite clay. And pitch) poured and rammed around the pattern. The additives harden and stabilize the sand so that the flask can be split apart and the pattern removed leaving an exact impression or mold in ... morethe sand. The pattern can be reused almost indefinitely to create more molds in additional casting flasks. A channel or gate is left in the sand so that when the flask is rejoined. The ironworkers can pour the molten iron into it through the opening. When the iron has solidified the flask is broken apart, destroying the sand mold in the process, to reveal the rough casting. edit] Present status. THANKS SO MUCH FOR VIEWING MY AUCTION. In 1928 a floor drain was started but the depression/stock market brought an end to this. The company now operates as the Badger Iron Works. This group appears to have ... morewood forms/molds from the Dunn County Iron Works. Aetna and Forster.
