I'm not an expert in this field but when researching this I was able to find a seat just like this on pintrest and Koken F213C was listed with the photos. I've shown good photos for you to see condition so view them carefully please. My brother bought an old barber shop and this and several other things which I will also be listing. This chair hangs on the back of a barber chair and can be adjusted to 3 different heights. I don't know if it's been recovered or not- it probably has but not recently. You can see that 2 screws are either too short or have had the tips broken off. The trim around has worn off in most places. I guess it's possible that it's original but not likely unless this is from a newer model and not from the one I found in research. The last pic is the chair I found online- it's not mine- I'm just using it to show what chair I think it goes with. I will be adding more info asap! just needed to get listed before it got too late.

Antique Dovetailed Medical Dental Barber Shop Wood Sterilizer Cabinet Tagsale. Here is a wonderful item to add to your collection. The cabinet has dovetailed corner that is somewhat unusual. As most just have have plain made corners. It is in overall very good used condition. The only real issue or damage that it has is a dent. In the wood, that is on the left side. You can see it in the image below. The dent is about 1/2" long and about 1/8" wide. The paint is chipped a little all the way around it, and that makes it look a little bigger. I don't know the maker or the age. The dovetailed corners suggest that it may be from the early 1900's. Dovetailed corners are a sign of high qaulity craftsmanship as they were more time consuming to make. I have no idea when it was painted. But it is old paint. It doesn't look like ... morefreshly painted. The paint has a few stains scattered around on it. Basically how you see it in the images is how it is going to look when you get it. This woudl make a super nice addition to yoru collection! It has little wood slides that held shelfs. Probably made of glass, but the shelfs are missing. It has some paint chips all scattered all around but no damage to the wood. Except for the dent. The door works good and has a fixture to keep it closed. I am not for sure of the type of wood that was used. But it looks like walnut. The back is looks to be a piece of paneling. Weight: 7.6 lbs unpacked. Antique Barber Chair Swivel Stool **RARE**
Up for auction is an early 1900's barber swivel stool. This stool mounted on the center pedestal of the barber chairs of the day(the red clamp in the pictures) And allowed the barber to sit and swivel back and forth behind the client while cutting. The seat itself has no tears in the fabric and the metal parts are in good condition with signs of normal wear and tear reasonable for it's age. Late 1800's Antique Victorian Koken Wooden Barber Chair - Fancy - See Detail
Barber Shop Collectors better see this one. The age would be 1800's to have the detail on this antique Koken barber chair. I purchased this chair at an auction in Timewell IL 20 years ago. The Oak wood has burl detail with carved drops. I stripped the wood years ago and did not get any farther on it's restoration. I am Out of the Mood for sure now so you can do it. I am not that knowledgeable about how these chairs operate. I can see that the bottom wrought iron foot plate has be broken and repaired. Not a professional repair. It is patented September 21.1901 and December 1, 1903, and someone said it was called"America" I believe this chair was designed to commemorate the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, hence the name, America" It has a hydraulic base seat goes up and down that still works! I am not sure how to recline the chair. Has swan like handle brace. It still has the original rare leather beautiful design upholstered seat. Back, armrests, and front. About 20 years ago this piece was purchased at an antique store and the owner restored it by having it cooper plated and reupholstered with a cool looking copper colored velvet or velour fabric. Very different indeed. During the restoration. The hydraulics were removed from the chair so there would be no chance of any oil leaking from anywhere at any time. This ensured the chair would be leak-proof and would never have any oil leaking on his carpet and he wouldn’t end up in the dog house. He also had the turning ... moremechanism stopped so his grandchildren would not get their fingers pinched in the spinning of the chair. These features can be restored by the new owner if he or she chooses at some time in the future, but for now the chair does not raise and lower nor will it spin. The back of the chair as well as the headrest are fully adjustable. The back reclining angle is controlled by a ratchet type mechanism very much like the old style lawn chairs. You lift the brace, select the angle you want to be in and put the brace back in the lock and voila, gravity and pressure does the rest. The neck/headrest can be adjusted up and down as well as forward and back by the use of two oversized wingnut type fasteners. Just adjust the angle and height of the headrest to your perfect relaxing fit and presto, instant comfy chair for a nap or to watch the game in. Just add a beverage and a snack and you are in sports heaven! Besides the copper color and the vintage look of this piece there are a couple of more facets of this piece that just make it more different and cool… first.
