Safe is blackish ... morebrown in color with copper colored accents. Knobs on the front are silvertone. The top, front door and frame are cast iron. The sides and back are sheet metal with an embossed urn design. Front of bank reads"GRAND JEWEL BANK" A magnet sticks to all surfaces. Dimensions: 4-1/8" wide. 4" deep(front to back) and 5-1/4" tall. Coin slot measures just over 1-1/2" long. Condition: Nice antique condition with light surface rust and wear. What you would expect for the age of this piece. No breaks or repairs. On the inside of the door, the combination lock mechanism for the lower knob is missing(see last photo) The top one is in place and works fine. I must say, it sure does make this bank easy to open without knowing the combination. Door hinges are secure. Door opens and closes nicely and stays"locked" When you want to open the door, just keep turning the top knob and within less than a minute, it will align properly and open. No other issues. I am listing a variety of nice estate-fresh Antique and Vintage Items this week. Here is an ANTIQUE YORK SAFE& LOCK CO. PAINT-DECORATED METAL SECURTY LOCK BOX. I believe this is probably an interior lock box insert for a larger York Floor Safe but uncertain myself. Looks to be c.Late-19thC to Turn-of-the-Century vintage to me. Has working key for door which says"York Safe& Lock Co. York. Penn. Box front is approx. 7" square and box is 9" long. It has a hand-painted number on one side of the box which looks to be in the same color paint as the door. Nice antique lock box. Massachusetts residents need to add the 6.25% sales tax. Antique The Trumbull Safe & Vault floor safe
Trumbull Safe& Vault Company was a safe dealer. Not a manufacturer. This safe is a Hall's safe. The Hall's Safe Company began manufacturing safes in 1896 after the Hall's brothers left Herring-Hall-Marvin. Within a fairly short time after leaving HHM, lawsuits were filed to keep them from using the name"Hall's" in their business. These litgations proceeded through the courts all the way to the Supreme Court, where eventually it was found in Hall's favor. The brothers could use their name, but make no references to their father's business(where they learned the safe making trade) nor to HHM. Between 1905 and at least 1910, they used a number of variations of the Eagle trademark. 547 lbs 25" deep 22" wide 33" tall with caster wheels

Antique Ultra Small Cast Iron Floor Safe Very old. Charming little cast iron safe. Original paint and stenciling have seen better days. But the graphics on the door have won the battle against time. Holding onto its age old character with pride! The interior is generic and functional. And the two shelves are just simply resting on top of the supports. They are snug. However, against the sides of the safe so they won't flop around during shipment. Three number combination works perfectly and will be included with safe. What's interesting and unique about this safe is that it has a full size. 3" dial instead of a tiny. Small diameter dial typically found on a safe this size. The dial is smooth and turns effortlessly and is numbered 1- 100. The door opens and closes freely and seats perfectly into the body of the safe. Although ... morewhen locked. Is just slightly loose(about 1 mm of play) This is due to wear on the inside of the safe behind the rim where the door pins deploy. Again. This is an old safe that probably has had a lot of use over the years! Safe is 16" tall x 10 3/4" deep(from the back of the safe to the front of the dial) x 9 1/2" wide and weighs 70 lbs. The wheels are 1 3/4" in diameter and they turn smoothly and quietly. The interior measures 10" high x 6" wide and 6" deep. The door is 2 1/4" thick. Filled with gypsum, and weighs a little more than 15 lbs. I could not find a manufacturer's name or patent date anywhere. We are estimating the weight is around 1000 to 1200 pounds. On either side of the safe are 11 1/2" wide flip up pull handles. This civil war era safe has a decorative an unusual design with the two recessed panels on each of the sides. Back, top and front of safe door along with the ornate cast iron design around the front of the safe. The sturdy hinges have decorative acorn finials which add to its overall great look. The back side of the safe door features its original pin striping and hand painted floral design. I am selling this for someone else. So if you have questions I will have to check with them for answers. This is a solid steel antique floor safe-very. Very heavy-on wheels. It measures 5 feet high, 33" wide, and 32" deep. It has two sets of double doors(one very thick) and a combination lock. The owner has the combination and all keys. Inside are a couple individually locking safety deposit boxes. The interior portion is made of beautiful wood in very good condition. The exterior of the safe needs some TLC since it has been in storage for several years. This safe was used in several local businesses around the St. Matthews area. Including a former tire company and dry goods store. When the current owner purchased it, there were receipts and documents inside dating back to the 1920's left by the previous owner. Vintage Antique Floor Safe on Rollers, Fire Proof, Early 1900's, w/Combination!
Vintage floor safe. Extra thick walls, super heavy. The lock and combination appear to be in great working order. The door is open but I’m unsure if the combo can be changed. The bolts slide freely and everything seems to be in order with the locking mechanism. This safe would probably survive a fire better than most safes on the market today. Not sure of brand or exact vintage. Safe shows wear but rolls well and shows no sign of ever being dropped. Most of the outside has been painted but I decided not to remove the pain and leave that option up to the buyer. It comes with 2 drawers and the metal insert dating when it was patented. Pickup available in Columbus Ohio. I can also arrange freight shipping to commercial address in US at buyers expense.

Old Meilink Floor/Fire Safe Very nice. Older Meilink Safe in excellent condition. Mechanically very sound and secure. The dial is silky smooth and the door seats perfectly into the body of the safe. There is a tiny amount of play. However, when the door is locked; about a sixteenth of an inch or so. The four number combination works perfectly and will be provided to the buyer at time of delivery. The interior is clean and simple with one shelf and one drawer. Safe measures 21 1/2" tall x 14 1/2" deep(from the back of the safe to the front of the dial) x 14" wide and weighs 106 lbs. The interior is 13" tall x 9" deep x 10" wide. We are pleased to offer to the market this great antique safe. This is marked with the Barnes Safe& Lock Co. logo. It can also be dated to pre 1911 due to the spelling of the word Pittsburg. The H was added to the end of the word in 1911. The safe measures 28.5" in height. It is 18.5" wide and has a depth of 19.75" 21.25" if you count the depth from where the hinges stick out. The measurements of the inside sections are as follows: Inside right}15" high x 11.25" deep x 5.5" wide Inside left} has a metal cubby with a door and key~ the lock works and turns smoothly/ also has a wood drawer with a lock and key but the lock is stuck in the up position and the drawer will not close all the way because of this. Here's a very large and heavy FLOOR SAFE made in the 1880s( by HALL'S SAFE COMPANY. It stands 53.5" tall. Is 38" wide, and 32" deep. Thick double doors open to reveal another set of double doors with seperate lock boxes and compartments inside. I do have the combination. It was recovered by Hitec Safe& Lock a local company. This Safe was used by the City Of Howell Michigan inside City Hall for over a 100 Years! The Shelves have labels such as Permits. Property taxes, etc. The outside paint has faded and rust is showing through in spots. This is HEAVY(my guess about 2500 lbs. You will need to pick it up in Howell Michigan. Out of the basement of a local farmhouse is this antique J. BAUM floor safe with working combo. and keys for the lock box inside that has been in the basement for over 60 years. The outside door you can see the paint is faded but the paint on the inside is still pretty crisp. The safe is 30 1/2" high by 20" wide by 20" deep and weighs close to 500lbs or more. Antique Mosler safe from Boston. I have the combination to the lock but I do not have the keys to the smaller doors on the inside, they are locked in the open position and can be opened and closed freely, has two adjustable or removable shelves. The safe is rated class"A" for fire and t-20 for burglary. It measures 63 3/4 inches tall. 43 inches wide and 30 1/2 inches deep. These are the measurements at it's tallest and widest points, it is on wheels and weighs 1900lbs. The safe has some scratches and stickers as shown in the pictures but they do not compromise the integrity of the safe. Local pick up is available and I also have a loading dock. Antique Harris Floor or Wall Safe with Original Stenciling and Combination Lock. This is a very old wall or floor safe that was originally owned by my grandfather and possibly my great grandfather. Based on my internet research. The Harris safe company merged with the Hall and Marvin safe companies in 1892. Therefore, it is logical that this safe is at least 120 years old. It has a beautiful stenciling on the front which is original. The interior is lined with wood and has a felt lined wooden drawer with inlaid wood detail and an additional removable inlaid wood shelf with felt lining. This shelf has some damage in one corner(see last photo) The bottom portion of the wooden drawer is rough and has been painted silver. There is a false wood ceiling(i.e. It is not fixed and appears to be removable, however, I haven't figured out how to ... moredo this) I have the original combination and it works. On the interior door. The name Harris& Company New York is stamped on the ornate brass box. I believe that this safe was intended to be a wall safe as it has no feet/rollers and. This is a vintage floor safe. Outside measurements are 28" wide. 24" deep, 33" tall, w/ 7" wheels raising it to 40" high. Inside measurements are 15" deep, 25.5" tall, 20.5"wide. The door is 24" by 29" Weighs 1,000 pounds. The tumbler assembly has been removed so it cannot mistakenly be locked shut, but it is all there. It is missing one brass finial and some of the finials have minor dents. There is no lock for inner door, but it shuts and latches. There is some minor rust on exterior. It is about an early 1900 safe. It is thick, but I don't know the fire rating. It is listed in a local paper so I might close the auction early if sold. Antique 1850 HERRINGS FERREL CO. MAKERS FLOOR SAFE PHILADELPHIA GREAT DETAIL
This is a rare early safe. Uses a skeleton key to open vs. a combination. Check out the key hole cover(escutcheon) it is a salamander! This cover is usually missing. The key is original. The safe measures 32 1/2" tall x 21 3/4" wide x 20 1/2" deep. My rough guess on the weight of this safe is 400+ lbs. The safe is well marked as to maker in raise relief letters and the detail such as the front badge depicts the forge and a couple of safes being made. Pat'd date May 18th. 1852. Interior is nice with a dovetailed drawer with a champhered bottom as shown.this is early joinery. One little piece of veneer missing of the corner of the drawer. The veneer appears to be Rosewood. There are slots empty where it appears two shelf divider boards slid in. The exterior is original condition with just soom very tiny corrosive holes in ... morethe exterior skin. There is one ball finial missing off the bottom hinge as shown. 2 exterior side handles are original. I was told this safe is from the family estate of the McSherry's of the town name after them in McSherrystown, Pa. Buyer must arrange to have this safe picked up from the dock of my barn. J Grove, Birmingham, Antique Floor Safe
John Grove and his son George who died in the 1960's had their factory was in Holloway Head. Birmingham. Uk. However, this safe was manufactured before George joined the family business, because the nameplate says, Manufactured by J Grove, Birmingham" George had no living heirs to carry on the business, so it was closed I think in the 1940- 1950's. When his wife, Lily died, the house was cleared by some dubious person. Most everything was shipped off to America. The construction of the safe is known as'square cornered' as the two sides. Top and bottom are made from single mild steel sheets riveted to an angle-iron frame giving them that sharp, square cornered look. This particular safe predates the 1890s. It's been sanded and cleaned up, I added puck lights and painted the entire cabinet inside and out. The finish is black distressed with a blue/grey trim line detail. The inside finish is an antique white that has been glazed for an antiqued feel. It's ready to wall hang or stand on the floor. Screens are original and varnished with a clear coat. Antique Floor Safe Beautiful painted detail - Boston, MA Working Combination
The item you are bidding on is the one in the picture so ask any questions prior to bidding. I got this in an estate sale. I took the door off in order to take it to a locksmith to find out the combination. The former owner had written the combination down but when he did each number was off by 6(smart guy in case someone found his notes which he had a few near the safe. Pickup only given the weight which I didn't try to figure out. We had to move it out of a basement and it 2 and some Yankee ingenuity. I have it in storage so a freight company would be able to pick it up. The inside safe I don't have a key but stuck a slot screw driver in it and was able to turn it. It does roll on the wheels but they only go side to side. I tried to take pictures of each side so you can see the condition. The person had built a wooden box around ... moreit so only the door was visible which is really the best part. Not sure how old this is but I had a few locksmiths in the shop when I took it in and they couldn't wait to get the think to work and they kept saying that is was very old. The door looks like it has pattern dates from Dec 29 55 to March 9. 93(i forget to take this picture) so based on some other completed auction I am thinking this was made in the late 1800' my guess.

For your consideration.A Vintage Antique Floor Safe.Made by Western Safe& Equipment, Amarillo,Texas. In my limited research, was not able to come up with any similar makes or models of this type. It is certain to be 75- 100 years old at least.The measurements of the safe are as follows:26 inches Tall, 19 inches Deep and 16 inches wide.The interior and exterior paint is in very good condition, a dark green with gold pin striping and leafing at the corners.This detail covers each side and all the 4 sides of the safe, nice touch indeed.There is a small locking compartment inside, which does not come with a key.It is in the open position, and I have had the small lock apart and back together again.A key can easily be made for that.There is one small drawer under the compartment and then another space for a larger drawer, which is missing.The ... moresafe has a combination lock,which I DO HAVE and it works perfectly.It is a two pin locking door.The lock is manufactured by the Gross- Fiebel Company of Hillsboro, Ohio, It has the letters G-F embossed on the tumbler along with the company name.The item all together is in very good to excellent condition.Almost as if it came out of a gangster movie, or was a safe that could have occupied a spot in Flagstaff along with Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday& Co.It weighs a lot, a couple hundred pounds certainly.In that case it will be offered for local pickup, or contact us for other arrangements. 20 x19 x 30 H- very heavy antique floor safe. Combinaton lock on outside. Initial inside panel appears to be drilled out. There is a small area inside that.
