Lot of 6 Antique Wooden Shoe Lasts Cobbler's Molds, 2 from Buffalo Last Works NY
Here is a lot of 6 old wooden shoe forms or shoe lasts. Each one is a different size. Two have partial marks from the Buffalo Last Works. Utica NY. The longest of the six is about 10 inches long, and the shortest is about 7 1/4 inches. A cobbler has used these molds to make or repair shoes. So they have nail or tack holes on the bottom. They have a great look and would make nice display pieces. These are all hard wood, probably maple.

They are stamped on the top with"184" which have been done independently because they are not in line with the other numbers. The shoes are also stamped with Patent Applied For. The metal hinges open and close perfectly on both shoes and are topped with a matching wood peg which have two stripes in brown. They both show scratches and wear on the bottoms. Here is a lot of 4 old wooden shoe forms or shoe lasts. There is one pair of size 8B. One 4 1/2 B and one 4 1/2 E. The pointed pair is marked TW Gardiner Br USMC 2-61. The 4 1/2 E is marked TW Gardiner Br USM 12-63. The longest of the 4 is about 10 5/8 inches long, and the shortest is about 9 7/8 inches. A cobbler has used these molds to make or repair shoes, so they have nail or tack holes on the bottom. They have a great look and would make nice display pieces. These are all hard wood, probably maple.

What you are viewing is an original 1800s Malleable cobbler shoe repair stand with 5 original shoe forms and an antique 1800s Economy Cobbler boot and shoe repair advertising wood box. All pieces have wear and aging from use and aging. Box has a weak bottom from aging. Use and from holding up the weight of the molds for many years. Molds have some rusting but are still in great condition with some wear and aging to contend with. Stand is in great condition with mostly only use wear to contend with. Up for auction is a rare antique cast iron Jersey brand cobblers shoe repair station. This is in great antique condition. I did buy this just the way you see it and after looking it over I think it has been repaired over the years. I do see some origional wood with the old square nails and I see some newer wood with newer looking nails and screws. The box part I do think is a total repair. This whole station is so sturdy and strong and a heavy duty show piece. This would be great for any shoe lover. Antique collecter, or even a show piece in a store. It does come with all the cast iron family foot inserts. There is one for dad, mom,dress shoes, kids, and one for the baby. This is everything a cobbler needed to run a perfect shoe repair business.
