Each Marked STERLING 54 Unknown Maker You are buying two beautiful. Old Heavy Crystal/Glass Bottles(Perfume Bottles) with Stoppers. All time best shape and form. Each has unique tooled. Sterling overlay. The Design on each includes a flower Iris or Daffodil? and a Solid Silver plate with ornamental“vines” Beautiful! Both need to be polished and interiors cleaned as they have Cloudiness. Moisture residue, build up inside. I did not want to risk doing any damage to these pieces so I left them As-Is. These were my Mom’s from her Sterling Collection. She has had them wrapped and stored for many years. There are no chips or cracks on the Bottles. The Silver Overlay on one is complete and Beautiful. The other one has a part of a flower missing(Picture with the frosty looking outline shows the missing silver) It was hard to get great pictures without glare and reflections and shadows. These are not marks on the Silver or bottle. But like I mentioned. Silver needs to be polished, so there are tarnished marks, Patina? The Top rims are also slightly different. One has a little wider cover lip. The Stoppers are complete. One has a“fracture” Bottom of stem, but it seems to be internal. Both have chipping/fleabites along stem bottoms. The One Stopper with the“fracture” was hand-blown and is hollow. The other Stopper is Solid. Each are similar size but have a little different shape. These two really complement each other. But they are not identical. Would be a lovely Cruet Set for Oil and Vinegar. They are both so lovely just Sitting on Display. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Antique / Vintage 7" Lay Down Perfume Bottle Vial Daisy and Button Pattern
THIS WONDERFUL VINTAGE PRESSED GLASS LAY DOWN PERFUME BOTTLE IS IN THE DAISY AND BUTTON PATTERN. THE SCREW TOP APPEARS TO BE PEWTER. IT IS 7" LONG AND 1 1/4" WIDE AND WAS MADE IN A 3/PART MOLD. THIS VIAL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. THE SCREW TOP HAS A SMALL DENT IN THE TOP AND THERE IS NO INNER CORK. THIS PERFUME BOTTLE WAS FROM MY MOTHER'S PERSONAL COLLECTION. Antique Italian Goldstone Overlaid Perfume Bottle c.1855 (Possibly Murano)
The beautiful and mysterious little snuff bottle is made of goldstone. Goldstone is a type of glass produced first by accident by monks near Venice during the Renaissance. During an alchemical experiment they accidentally tipped molten copper into molten glass and the result was this gorgeous type of glass that has been produced ever since. This piece is mounted with a hinged brass lid That has a stamped leaf motif. The interior of the bottle appears to be a white glass that is cased with spirally applied goldstone glass. The body of the piece is a teardrop shape and there are the remains of a chain that looped from one side of the neck of the bottle to the other. The surface of the glass shows what appear to be cracks. I don't think these flaws are from damage but may be part of the manufacturing process of trying to get the goldstone ... moreglass to fuse with the underlying white glass. At any rate. They don't appear to go all the way through the body of the piece. The lid has a small dent that does not distract from the beauty of the piece. The hinge works well and the lid closes tight. This perfume bottle never had a glass stopper but was probably supplied with a cork. It is 2.75" in overall length and 2" wide. Washington State residents please add 9.5% State Sales Tax. There are portions that have cracked and lifted up showing the base of the cap underneath which you can see in one of the photos. There are no other irregularities to the silver except for that section and the piece has a nice patina that shows off its detailed design. There are no chips to the glass and the surfaces are crisp and textural. This one of a kind antique perfume bottle is 4 1/8" tall with the stopper in& 2 3/4" tall with the stopper out. The stopper is 2 1/8" long which also has sterling silver overlay. The sterling silver overlay has the initials S.J. 3 hallmarks which I can not make out what they are. I could not find out who made the bottle or who the master silver smith was.The sterling silver is not marked sterling or 925. I had it tested& it is sterling. A rare and fabulous antique LENTHERIC BACCARAT CRYSTAL PERFUME BOTTLE FLACON. First launched in 1924 for the scent"MIRACLE" It is SIGNED on the base in acid-stamped letters"Made in France" The bottle itself was called"floating gold" was designed by Georges Dumoulin and made by BACCARAT in France. It came in three sizes: 5 7/8" h, 4 1/2" h, and 3 1/8" h(bottle& glass stopper) This is the 4 1/2" high size. The beautiful Miracle scent still emanates from the interior when the stopper is removed. One reason for the rarity of this deluxe bottle is because this bottle required a special process to make. Which was difficult and expensive. This led to Lentheric changing to a clear& frosted half-column bottle made by Brosse in 1936. This black glass bottle has curved. Lobed sides in the form ... moreof an elegant skirt, graced with an abstract gold dust pattern. The pattern on each of these bottles made by Baccarat is unique and different from the next. There is a gilt brass collar around the neck of the bottle, a perfectly fitting ground& polished black glass stopper, and a genuine BAKELITE stopper cover imbedded with"gold dust" all original to the bottle. The condition is excellent and impeccable in every way. Except for a small flake on the underside of the beveled base edge(see photo) This mar measures about 3mm across, and cannot be seen at all when the bottle is standing. An interesting side-light is that the Lentheric"Miracle" scent held in this bottle was inspired by a pantomime"The Miracle" staged by Max Reinhardt and starring Lady Diana Manners in 1911. I have seen this same bottle in advertisements for other Lentheric scents Le Matin Au Bois. And Au Fil De L'eau. This is a book piece. Seen in books covering the history of major perfume and scent bottles. In addition, its image can be seen in advertising from magazines of that time period. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a Mauve painted perfume bottle with atomizer and bulb. It appears to be a clear glass bottle that has been painted a mauve-pink color and you will notice faint brush marks in the painting. You can see tiny bubbles within the glass when viewing the underside of the base. It has pretty floral enamels in yellow. Blue& red. It still has it's stamp on the bottom to show it was"Made in Czechoslovakia" The floral enamels are bright& vibrant but I do note that a few of the blue painted dots to the flowers are missing. The bronze colored atomizer& collar show the patina of age but no real damage that I can see. I do see a small chip to the plaster just inside the rim and have tried to show that in the photos for you. The internal ... moremetal syphon tube is intact and other than the new bulb everything appears original. When I squeeze the bulb very faint puffs of air come out ~ not very powerful. The bottle is very clean inside and out. No chips, cracks or repairs noted. It is 4 inches tall to the center top of the atomizer and the base is 1 1/2 inches wide. Antique Marquay L'elu Perfume Bottle with Prism Cut Stopper and Velvet Bag
This is for an empty full size bottle(not the miniature) of L'elu parfum by Marquay from Paris. France. It has the original red velvet, gold beaded drawstring bag. The top is a prism cut glass stopper. It measures 3 1/2" tall with the stopper in. It measures 1 1/2" across the bottom of the bottle. The bottle is faceted and has a gold foil label on the front as seen in the pics. The bottom of the bottle is embossed with"Bottle Made in France" It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. Some of the gold colored beads are a little discolored due to age.
