Pale pink opaline glass with gold corner columns& top edge.Stands 6 1'2" high to top of prong set pink glass petals or leaves& two little crystals. Two or three of the petals are missing. OPALINE GLASS& GILT METAL PERFUME BOTTLE FRENCH VINTAGE This perfume bottle is opaline glass with gilt metal on the neck and base. It measures 5 3/4" high without the stopper and 7 1/2" with the stopper in the bottle. The diameter of the stopper is approximately 2" The gilt metal on the neck has a design of small circles that go completely around the neck and also on the base. Beautiful white opaline with a bluish cast. The stopper is original and is undamaged and the end is free of chips. The bottle itself is in excellent condition with no damage. I would say this is a French bottle. Vintage but difficult to date exactly most likely early 19th century 1930's. Th is stunning Antique Opaline Perfume Bottle/Egg was made circa 1800-1899. This beautiful egg is a RARE find. I am not sure of the maker as it is unsigned. But it is marked on the inside of the lid with the number“16” It measures 4” tall and 2 1/2" wide. There is no notable damage. With the exception that the seam where the base and top come together is not perfectly flush. A very small peep of light can be seen between the two halves. There are no cracks. Or chips to the opaline glass. The egg is decorated with a handpainted enamel bird on a branch on the top and there is no enamel missing. The inner rim has gold gilt leaves and the outside of the egg has gold gilt dot work on the top and bottom. The gold gilt paint is also in great shape. The egg has white glass on the upper half(I am unsure of the type. Likely white opaline) and ... moreapple green opaline glass on the bottom half that glows richly under black light. Up for auction is a wonderful blue opaline antique perfume bottle. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It measures 2 1/2” high by 2” wide. The sterling silver cap. Collar and hinge are free from dents, splits or tears. The cap and collar are embossed with scrollwork. The collar has 2 rings where at one point this bottle had a chain and was probably hung from a chatelaine. The tiny glass stopper is present and also free from chips or cracks. The cap snaps to close perfectly. It is a gorgeous baby blue color. My photos do not do it justice. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions you may have. NR OPALINE PALAIS ROYALE FRENCH PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE CASKET PORCELAIN PORTRAITS
You are bidding on a very beautiful green French opaline scent/perfume bottle with four different porcelain portraits. I am not an expert in this field. But from what I have seen, this appears to be from the Palais Royale era, mid 1800's, and sold as one of the many souvenirs. I have seen similar ormolu scent bottles with various scenes of Paris's architectural highlights such as the Place Vendome, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, etc. though very few with portraits. Dimensions are 7" high to the top of the finial and just slightly under 4" in diameter at the bulbous widest point. In excellent display condition, there is some verdigris and darkening of the ormolu that has blackened and consistent with its age. A warm patination overall covers the ormolu and has burnished it to a deep rich gold. One of the portraits of the young ... moremaiden has a slight bend in the cartouche(picture 8) that I note for accuracy. I also noticed within the open mouth of the bottle, there is a crease that I can't tell if it is a crease or a hairline from in-the-making, which I have shown in photo 9. No chips or repairs. The four portraits on the bottle are gorgeous. One cherubic child in prayer. That could definitely pass as a putti if you added wings, the second, a darling choir boy in purple cloak and white collared blouse, a little girl with hands clasped to her chest and revered expression. The fourth portrait is a young maiden reading her letter she has just penned. The colors are vibrant and clear and appears to be on porcelain that is hard and shiny. The intricate design of the metal ormolu is like lace on the bottle. The base, has a sturdy beading connecting the four feet that are delicately scrolled. The clear apple green of the opaline is so pretty that you want to bite into it like a green apple. Large antique French white opaline glass& gilt ormolu'egg' shaped casket. A unique perfume or cologne bottle piece in excellent condition. Gilt ormolu framework. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a breathtaking& rare perfume bottle. While it is not marked I do believe this is a Moser bottle. It is very intricately decorated with scrolls. Flourishes, flowers and greenery. The colors are so deep and rich it makes for a very elegant bottle. The base glass appears to be a light tan with all the other colors you see hand painted on it. This bottle is most likely c. late 1800's- early 1900's from the Art Nouveau period. The design certainly is true to that era. The enamels are still vibrant with color and still with plenty of gold accent. As you would expect for an item of this age there are very tiny nips to the enamels here and there- but nothing major or distracting. You will be reassured by the photos that it is in excellent condition. ... moreI only found one tiny area where a bubble popped but it is so near the bottom you won't even notice it. No other chips, cracks or repairs that I can find. The atomizer is in good condition with only a few light surface marks. The metal collar is secure to the bottle with no major marks or dents to report but could use a polish. The metal syphon tube is intact and only the bulb is new. When I squeeze the bulb I do feel puffs of air come out. The bottle is empty and clean inside and out. It is 5 1/4 inches tall and about 3 1/4 inches in diameter across the widest part. This is a bottle for the serious collector and you will love showing it off as part of your collection ~ I guarantee it! Here is an Absolutely Beautiful Custard Opaline Enameled Glass Perfume Bottle Dresser Jar. It was probably made in France in the EARLY 1900s. It is a Beautiful Off white Custard colored opaline glass with pink and white enamel petite flowers. And gold gilded petals, stems, and accents. The glass is patterned also with criss-cross lines. It measures 6 3/4" tall with the stopper in and is 2 1/2" in diameter. The stopper has a Petite Pink and White Enameled flower with the same gold gilded leaves, stems and accents on the top of it. Antique French Opaline Perfume or Cologne Bottle, Souvenir Painting in Lid
This lovely old French opaline perfume or cologne bottle covered in perforated lattice ormolu. Is in very nice condition considering the age and delicate nature of the item. It's a mid to late 1800s Paris souvenir item for Grand Tour travelers. Set into the cap and protected under glass is a small painting of a palace. There is a small chip in the glass but it is on the underside because the top is smooth. There is no moisture damage and the picture is clear. Raised on a 1 1/4" diameter brass ormolu plinth, the oval body of the perfume flask, bottle is 3" tall. The bottle is 4 3/4" high in total. The base is etched in beautiful floral sprays. The handles have small female figures on them. The lid opens and closes easily. The top is slightly dented. The entire lid is unglued and comes off from the base. Antique French Opaline Bristol Glass Enamel Perfume Bottle Decanters & Open Dish
This mid to late 19th century 3 piece vanity dresser set is either French Opaline or English Bristol Glass. The matching pair of perfume bottle decanters are elegantly topped with branch like stoppers. Both the stoppers and the bottoms are numbered. The accompanying open dish(also numbered) is hand painted with enamel flowers in the same motif as the perfume decanters. All have smooth pontil. The colors are in soft. Muted tones with gold accents. The perfume bottles measure 9 inches high with the open dish measuring 3 inches high and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. There are some condition issues to be noted. One of the branches on one bottle is broken as pictured and the other stopper has a slight break on one of the branches which is hardly noticeable. I don't think this detracts from the overall beauty of the decanters at all. But you can ... morejudge for yourself from the pictures. The gold rim is rubbed on the top of one of the decanters. There also seems to be some enamel loss on the rim around one of them. This is also pictured. There is some gilt rub on the open dish, as well.
