Hallmarked Birmingham 1930 The solid silver lid is decorated with green guilloche enamel. The silver beneath the enamel is engine turned engraved to depict a flower. Within concentric borders, which shows through from beneath the translucent enamel. The underside of the lid is gilded. This is clearly hallmarked with the lion passant sterling silver mark, the anchor town mark for Birmingham, and the date letter'F' for 1930. The lid fits onto its original ten-sided crystal glass body. This measures 8.2 cm in height and 4.0 cm in width. The silver lid weighs 12 grams or 0.38 troy ounces. The total weight is 85 grams. The condition is generally excellent.
