London, 1909 This beautiful perfume bottle is a fine example of the cameo glass produced by Thomas Webb and Sons in England in the 19th and 20th century. The rounded red body is decorated with finely carved clusters of apple blossoms on branches with leaves. The deep red appears to glow from the inside and provides a beautiful contrast to the opaque white floral decoration. The simple round lid is sterling silver and monogrammed in script with the letters"TMF" ... moreThe lid tapers down to a rounded silver band that fits over the threaded silver mount around the neck of the bottle. The stopper is no longer present. However, the lid works perfectly and the bottle closes securely. Thomas Webb began manufacturing art glass in England in 1837. The firm exhibited their cameo glass at the Paris Exhibition with Tiffany's in 1899 and took the Grand Prize. This exquisite bottle would make a wonderful addition to either a collection of fine art glass or to a collection of perfume bottles. Marked: Hallmarked on the silver band for London. 1909, with the makers' mark for Finnigan's who began production in Manchester in 1875 but opened offices in London in 1903. The Webb glass is not signed, which is typical. Measures: Bottle measures 3 1/2" H x 3" W. Excellent condition: Absolutely no chips cracks. Although this is not marked Daum Nancy. Baccarat or St. Louis, through research,many of this type of cameo with the green base glass and red frosted overglass has been identified as Daum Nancy and a few Baccarat. At the Antiques Road Show the expert that I showed this to said it was either St. Louis or Daum Nancy. The sterling silver appears to have had a light gold plate finish although the top piece has most of this worn off. The inside of the lid has a cork liner. The issues noticed are no stopper, The lid does not fit tightly due to what appears to have been prying(see pictures) a tiny nick on the bottom of the green glass base that sits in the removable silver base and the cartouche on the sterling base has a dent. We are pleased to offer this rare antique original French signed Daum Nancy cameo glass perfume scent bottle travel decanter. It has a hinged. Sterling silver, attached top and the original acid etched crystal stopper. This is an estate fresh piece and we have not attempted to clean or polish it. It features a river valley scene with conifers. Perhaps an early spring scene. It also has beautiful Lily of the Valley flowers on the sides of the bottle. There is a dripping icicle design all along the top. Rim of the bottle and this is repeated along the top of the original stopper. Further emphasizing the early spring motif. There are 2 small French hallmarks on the sides of the sterling silver top; I can make out one which is a helmeted head in profile. The top has a vermeil gold wash on the inside. On the top of the closure is a young maiden ... moreand a floral design. The bottom of the bottle is signed in gold enamel Daum Nancy( France) along with the Cross of Lorraine. There is a small amount of loss to the decorative gold gild on the bottle and the stopper. There are no cracks or other major damage. The silver top is tight on the bottle. The closure stays closed nicely. The stopper fits well and is not loose. The stopper has some small flakes along the edge as shown in the photo. The inner top edge of the bottle has some roughness. Antique 5" Bohemian Czech Art Cameo Glass Perfume Bottle w/ Cut Glass Stopper
If you're a collector of art glass then you know you've come across something special in this Bohemian Czech perfume bottle! Bohemian art glass was made in what is now the Czech Republic and Austria in the early twentieth century. This example is cut-to-clear or cameo glass and has a white glass exterior that is cut through with eight ovals or teardrops to show the underlying cranberry-colored glass. The white glass is decorated with hand-painted blue. Red, purple, and pink flowers. The rim of the bottle is scalloped and accented in gold. The stopper is clear cut glass and has a turreted hexagonal shape with small bubbles visible in the glass. We're not sure if this is the original stopper, but this is how it came from the estate; it fits, and is the correct shape for a stopper for a Bohemian glass perfume bottle. The perfume ... morebottle measures 5.5" in height(with stopper; 3.25" in height without stopper) 3 7/8" in diameter, and with a neck that is 2 5/8" diameter. The piece is unmarked, which is typical for Bohemian glass. It is in very good antique condition, with no cracks or repairs, and only some typical wear in the gilding and some minor scratches and nicks from use and handling over the past century. Miniature Perfume Bottle Blown Amethyst Glass Florentine Cameo Cherub Decoration
This is a lovely antique miniature perfume bottle. The small bottle is made of mouth blown amethyst glass. The florentine cameo decoration is a very thin applied layer of pure white encircled with raised gold scrolls. On top of the white enameling are two chubby. Winged cherubs embracing as they float among the soft pale blue clouds. On the reverse side are raised gold scrolls. The flip cap of the bottle is brass with an attached beaded chain and ring which could be placed on the finger or suspended from a chatelaine. The glass dauber is intact but the tip of the dauber is missing. The bottle is in excellent condition and there is no damage to the brass. This little gem is only 2 1/4" in overall height and 1 3/8" wide. This is by far the prettiest miniature bottle I have found. Please contact me if you have a question about the ... morebottle. ep Red catomizerpredominately in White with Blue accents. In very nice vintage condition this atomizer retains the original metal hardware. The metal drawtube is intact. This highly sought after color was considered to be vy bold during the Victorian era. ID= AM146B Measuring 4 1/2" tall to the top of the metal hardware or 5 1/2" to the top of the ball an It is a deep Red color This is a beautiful and elegant antique perfume. It is thick cut cameo glass. An aquamarine blue to frosted clear. It is not marked on the bottle The silver plate top is stuck and I cannot unscrew it. I tried soaking it in hot water but all I managed to do is get some water inside the bottle and the top still will not budge. I am leaving it for fear of breaking the precious old glass base. The bottle is in good cosmetic condition. No chips or cracks. The silver late is not worn but does have some scratches.
